i started following the progress of cebu from 2005 up to now. But i visited cebu last 2019. So kahit first time ko sa cebu, lahat ng bldg kilala ko na. Haha. Lahat naman ng cities may flaws. Very promising ang cebu, konting linis lang lalo sa mga tourist spot. Nonetheless, the queen city not just for the south. But the whole Philippines. Si metro manila ang King. Sya ang Queen. Mag jowa lang. Haha.
True, but I'm afraid Cebu is becoming like Manila. Heavy traffic and a lot slums :( Cebu needs mass transport too.
Dapat pala "Queen city from the south",
instead of "Queen city of the south".
And also,
In spanish it is: "Ciudad reina del sur".
which translate into:
"Queen city of the south"
or
"Queen city from the south"
Because "del" can mean "of the" or "from the"

That's why of all the countries of the world out there, I'm so glad that I was born here in Cebu City. Just don't ask how long ago it was, heheha...since I'm forever - 21 and I'm not talking about a retail store in SM Cebu or Seaside. Without an incompetent local gov and corrupted officials our city would be even much nicer, more economically competitive on a global scale and much more efficient transportation system. We have the most natural resources and nature views with fine white sandy beaches that attracts many tourists from around the world. Please don't let anyone from China to visit here in PH. No offense to them. We welcome anybody who comes in peace with good health and we'll double-checked your health records to be sure of. Thank you.

As much as I love the progress I am also worried about the destruction of Cebu's mountains and sea. The greens in the mountains are slowly being replaced by houses and the corals under the sea are slowly dying from pollution coming from the city. Hayz. I wouldn't mind if the government and investors will spread the developments in other parts of Visayas such as Bacolod, Ilo-ilo, Tagbilaran, and Tacloban if that will save what remains of Cebu's natural resources.
Tanggalin nyo FDI restrictions sa Pinas, that place will be like Hongkong in 10 years.

thanks to cebu city mayor edgardo labilla for making the city quite clean but those areas below fly-over cleanliness should be fully addressed too dilapidated steel fences w/c causes too eyesore to public eyes maybe it is about time to remove it and replaced it with much impressive development
