I'm from Ireland and even I'm blown away by some of the cars we have just hidden away 😂 Jimmy definitely needs to Import an Irish Starlet/Glanza V
Exactly what i said lol. Give Adams crx a spanking 🤣
they used to be all over the streets 15 years ago. now they are garage queens
Keep em Irish 💯
If you can't get a starlet a pulsar gti-r would do you wonders as well
@@seanharrison6162 starlets are easier n cheaper to get but a pulsar awd sr20 sounds like Jimmy for sure 🤣
Dave is the coolest host ever! what a great peak into the Irish JDM scene
They've barely even scratched the surface as well
Dave's Irish, were all like that mucker
Those 56 minutes flew by! Absolutely loved that video!
been a juicebox fan for a few years. cool to see the Irish car culture get some more exposure. hopefully we don’t see starlets go up in price bc i’m tryna daily one soon LOL
Nice to know another person been stuck with em since the start
@@tripwire3992 glad im not alone
Lol good luck starlets are so rare in the states plus most em are drag builds in PR
@@JB-sv5pr No joke, I've seen like a good handful and all were reasonably priced.
I don't know if it's cause I'm on the east coast but like the P60 chassis were the most. Glanzas were the cheapest at like 4-6k on FB marketplace. I only saw autos though.
You don’t need a Glanza V to have a quick starlet, check out the camp dogs channel they just split a 4efe crank at over 400hp atw
I feel like I need a whole series of Jimmy and Stef traveling the world visiting garages filled with JDM cars and meeting all the people and the stories behind them.
This!
"In 1998, Daihatsu became a subsidiary of Toyota, which acquired 51% of Daihatsu stocks, and then a wholly-owned subsidiary of Toyota in 2016, assuming responsibility for the Toyota Group's small cars, including those produced and marketed in emerging countries" 34:42
Toyota has owned shares in Daihatsu since '67.
beat me to it! haha
Google search save the day LOL 😂
Used to work parts at a Toyota dealership. Was the only place to buy Daihatsu parts in Australia!
Toyota also owns Hino
This is how you visit another country. So cool to see deeper into peoples garages. So much unique builds, rad JDM goodies, shit Americans wish they could have.
never mind americans everyone wants gargage and cars like this lol might move over from England
we got booters and ireland didnt, even GTS ones. kinda cool. just no levin fronts.
As a Jamaican Starlet owner… I shed a tear watching the first bit of this video. Aside all the glorious starlets however, Ireland is amazing and I had no idea their culture was this great. I’m definitely going to travel there someday in the future and hopefully I’ll be able to snag one of those Tom’s EP82s. Thank you so much for showing the quirky turbo 1.3 some love and I do hope more Americans start to consider them. (Honda killers those little E engines 🫣😉)
*quick edit, I have both the EP91 Glanza V with a turbo 5E swap and a 4 door EP82 with a 4EFTE swap*
Jesus that black 86 is perfect. Paint is so clean, the kit is sick, sounds exactly how it should. Fuckin hell.
He build an 86 booter drift car that could of been a show car adrian builds perfection
@@Aiido89 that the yellow one you're on about?
Such a good vlog! Your content is usually pretty good, but this vlog is monumental for any jdm rare and weird car fans. Thanks Jimmy .
Btw, your stuff is always better when Stef is in it. She's is the only one (maybe besides RJ) that is on the same IQ level as you 🤫
This is what I came to comment
Not very nice of you to say that
@@Tom-xn7zc was nice enough for a heart
@@BySixa Well.. The heart just proves my point.
Man I love these Ireland videos! I'm a kiwi but when I visited Ireland a few years back it felt like home. Amazing people, green rolling hills and the cars are all the weird JDM gems we have built in the same half-collapsed barns like we do it (granted our decrepit barns are 80 years old, not 800).
I love the US stuff but a damp, leaky shed in a field speaks to me way more than a clean air conditioned warehouse
Just visited New Zealand on our hoonymoon we felt the exact same the other way. New Zealand’s scenery is next level though.
@@nismoylan "hoonymoon", love it!
Tractor flies by 80mph no one even looks over. Pure gold brother such incredible stuff. The amount of first and onlys in your life things you just did. Bruh. Incredible
Should be working on my car before the heat hits, but Jimmy posted an hour long video, so here we are
SAME
Felt that
Just replaced the starter on my truck and now get to watch this lol
Same mid engine swapping lol break time
Start of the week scared when driving on a 2 lane road saying they are small, end of the week ripping a twincam down an actual small country road 😂😂
Yes jimmy. You need a starlet!! You get a starlet And have a competition with adam in his crx at the compound!!
Our country is completely full of sheds like these. Ireland and N.Ireland have probably the biggest collection of JDM cars in the world outside of Japan.
Hello also james b 😂
Seems that way. Definitely for it's size and population. Everyone has 6-8 jdm cars lol
You may actually be right given size and population but we have a lot down here in Australia!!! ;-)
@@datdom3450 Oh I agree 100% mate, we both have pretty good rules for importing stuff!
@@AudibleVisibIe It's not as crazy as it used to be but myself I live in rural N.Ireland and maybe 10 years ago had an Ek9 and GTST, both mind you at time cost me less than 10k total! Not that cheap anymore :(
I'd watch a 2 hour uncut version of this, one of the best videos he's made. So interesting watching an American experience the Irish car scene, there's a lot of similarities between English and Irish car cultures.
The 2hr uncut needs to happens
I love the KE! Jimmy, the 4AGE with the factory supercharger is called a 4AGZE. I have a 2-door KE70 with a 4AGZE in it, still the supercharger on it. It makes 200hp and weighs 795kg.
KE70s are awesome and yours sounds like a lot of fun 👌🏼
I have one too. Never seen another one before. Mine has 20v 4age swap
those are awesome cars.
Love the coupes, it's just the right amount of boxy.
and i have the rarest two door coupe 4age with t50 gear box such a nice car
@@kadce992 It's so much fun!
Great to see Neil and Juicebox lads on here, top tier CZcams content. Great crossover! 🇮🇪
Most these places (including Mondello) are within 30 mins of me. Some serious cars hidden away.
Ireland has a great car scene and great mma fighters I’m sold
I’m glad ‘the shed’ and Reuben made it into a video 👏🏼🤙🏼
🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The drivetrain from the gt starlet will both right up to your 4wd corolla.
Dude the hospitality from everyone was awesome some really nice people the drift game boys really showed yall a good time I absolutely love to see it the Ireland love is so amazing
Okay that is cool I haven't seen anyone put a damper on a motor like that at 50:01 to keep it from tweaking under throttle
Ireland's car scene is on point 🍀
I don’t care how long the video was I love it …. Great to see all the cars
Happy you did a cinematic edit of Adrian’s builds. They certainly deserved the spotlight. Absolutely stunning. Shout out to Dave for being one of the coolest hosts ever!
yea i need the name of the song in the edit.
34:18 man pops his hood wanting to show off what he’s just finished putting together and jimbo doesn’t even go look 🤣
DUDE YOU NEED AN AWARD FOR THIS ONE. The B roll work with the gangster tracks for them, the attention to deal and the amazing vibes. All done editing it yourself. You’re a mad man
An hour long video!!!!!? That's not a Vlog that's a documentary.. we love the longer content.. sorry for the late night but well worth it.. content is on point, thanks Dave!!! You should definitely visit other scenes like this.. there are many even in the states..
We literally have sheds all over the country like this , I always take the car especially jdm scene for granted here until I see someone like yourself being so in awe of it. No matter where you are in Ireland there's rare cars in sheds within a couple of miles of you for sure
With Ireland being my home country, it’s so amazing to see other people experience the amount of insane cars we have here, a credit to Dave for the hospitality and all the other lads who took time to show you around. The vlogs have really been amazing
I love it too, it's been awhile since I watch a whole video with a big smile on my face the whole time...
I been having a bad few days, and when i saw 56 mins for this video. I am so glad to see this, seriously. Love you jimmy
I never thoughts i'll see a Renault 5 on a Jimmy oakes video !
I love how respectful Jimmy is! 21:15 asking if he can take a seat, he's very humble and it's great watching someone without influencer attitude!
Anyone who has driven a proper 86 will understand that the 4age is the best engine for the chassis and will give you the utmost pleasure and enjoyment. Especially when it’s an optimized setup.
Massive respect to Dave for organising all of that. I think its safe to say You've seen the best Ireland has to offer!
Welcome to being a n honorary member of the proper Irish car scene 🙌 I've a feeling the good days are making a come back and the tdi reeky days are fading
duuuude, ngl. that testdrive you did with the black 86 legit gave me goosebumps
Cool to see early non-ae86 Corolla getting some love. Something that is mostly common with us Puertoricans and other islanders but not seen much state side in general. If you see any state side builds it’s either by someone from PR or other island with a couple Anglo owned ones. One in my area that I know of in specific. Really cool to see that white sprint Corolla. Thank you for including it.
He's gonna come back and get a big trd banner for the shop it's gonna change him I can tell 😂
I love the hospitality from everyone so awesome dude wat great people
"Fuck the cars, I gotta floofy dog to love!" :p
That's so dope they let you drive their cars!
Ahhhh.... glad Jimmy is getting school on some very cool old school cars that makes the day of the 80s and 90s folk both in Europe and the Caribbean as well
Half way through the video. From what I’ve seen so far I’m kinda disapointet not seeing a Datsun Charade GTti. But I would have never guessed that Irland was so big on JDM! Much love from Denmark
Love the juicebox guys Neil, Ruben, Flip, Brian....
It was so nice to see them on Jimmy's channel.
Irish car culture is so nice and you guys have so many gems hidden away and I love rallying, I'm more Escort mk2 fan but ae86 is very cool to.
Jimmy ask them about your 4wd Carolla as well since you're over there so you get some ideas!!!! Askkkkkk jimmyyyy
Awesome Video guys.
Cool to see all these cool cars from Ireland 🇮🇪.
I see how this is inspiring you Jimmy. I know you'll take this home with you. What a great experience for you.
Thank you for sharing this.
I absolutely appreciated this video a lot... you've learn about a lot of cars that are just as cool!!! Charmant, AE86 and KE70 Carolla are basically the same car... carry 80% of the same parts
Me & my husband are in this video 👌 deadly video!
We gotta get some "Rings, lad!" Oakes Garage merch!
Keyrings for sure! "Keyrings, lad!"
one of the coolest automotive videos on youtube to date easily!
Another Sick Video!!! Ireland 🇮🇪 is soooo cool literally. I wish CT was more like this 👌👍🙌💪🔰 That's so awesome you were able to take this Trip to Ireland what a amazing change of scenery ❤️ 👏
**56 minutes** 😳 Jimmy u trying to get me Sprung 😂😂😂
Who knw Ireland had dope JDM Car Culture!.....Dave is an awesome Host w/ the most!
IMO the Toyota Starlet hatchback looks better than a Civic hatchback ! Anybody agree with me ?
Yep!! But I am bias I have a glanza v 🤣
This was a great video, imagine Jimmy traveling around to different car scenes and filming these hour "specials", that would be wild. Loved it.
This video, all 56 minutes and 20 seconds worth, was one of the best I’ve seen. Inspiration, education and a bunch of humans just enjoying life and cars.
I bought an mk3 Supra that was imported through Canada and it also had the 1ggeu twin turbo. Shit was actually kind of fast but it overheated on the way home and when I fired it up after the cool down it had a rod knock and it was beyond impossible finding parts for that thing in the US so I ended up trading it off. Was my first and only RHD which is a little bittersweet
Hey man, thanks for the long video. Was literally one of the best videos in a while. So fucking good.
Damn what an epic vlog Jimbo! Absolutely loved every second of it. Such great vibes between you and the Irish guys 🔥
This is one of the best videos you have ever produced. 56 minutes of just straight automotive eyecandy. Absolutely awesome. I love this so much. Thank you for sharing,
I said it in a past video and I’ll say it here, Juicebox doesn’t get enough credit and Japan in a Van is so sick y’all should really watch it if you can. I hope they get a chance to come to the states and check some stuff out.
Make a competition with Adam to build an AE86 each just like the SR-Z with Tommy, speed things up with sponsors ofc!
Boutta have the best morning, thanks for the hour long vid Jimmy!!
Love this place and there's so much more across the country, so stoked to see the fun you're having and hope to see the 86 come back!
Your both welcome over here anytime! 2 genuinely lovely people that would fit in over here no questions asked
Jimmy sounds like he is picking up an Irish accent when looking at the Koi fish Cefiro! Lol.
This is such a good vid jimbo! great content!
You nailed this edit. I had goosebumps the whole way through. The cars are awesome & seeing you & Steph enjoying another countries culture is very enjoyable & uplifting
They also had the 1G-gze which was the supercharged ,straight 6, 2.0L..
You are more than welcome to visit Ireland again Jimmy 🤝 this was brilliant content it's a shame you have to go home
Good morning boys
What an amazing video. I'm LOVING this content Jimmy. Glad you had an amazing time in Ireland ❤️🇮🇪.
About as Irish a welcome as you would expect, especially from the juice box lads,
Cars are a universal language as they have proven many a time.
So glad you took the time to stay over and explore.
Good evening patreon gang!
dave @driftgames need to start doing these tours for everyone il come over from England for one
Honestly, Neil from Juicebox probably has him beat in terms of the connections he has with people who have the coolest random shit in their shed
@@shona5512 love neil @Juicebox always a great mix on there chanel been watching them for ages
Jimmy with the absolute banger of a video, Dave seems like such a rad dude. Definitely appreciate the long videos, best channel imo.
Loved the extra long video today....so many sick cars
This video needs an Oh My God counter.
We said the exact same thing when he was editing!!🤣🤣🖤
Get yourself a 96 starlet glanza v imported to America
thank you for hanging around & showing us the Irish ways..cheers for the hour of solid entertainment🇦🇺🏴☠️🏁🤟
Lads did us proud, were all about the hospitality here. Cheers from county Derry.
im thankful that wasnt in 3 parts. the whole hour of banging irish car scene content is chefs kiss. as perfect as that levin.
From Ireland, so happy you took the time to do this tour & jdm distro. Great the scene is getting the coverage it deserves!
been watching juicebox since before he started restoring the cranberry, was glad to see you over there having fun !
Dave and the Irish boys seem like such good dudes. Glad you had such a dope trip Jim.
This video NEEDS a million likes! I could watch hour long videos from Jimmy every week so quit apologizing for the long videos Jimbo and give us more. It doesn’t matter what the video is about I’d watch all of it
Love how he was hitting that limiter on the 86 :D Owner is now watching and crying inside :D
Mad to see jimmy at the shed lol had the full experience too, bbq, rings, jdm on full display 👌 i miss barry the welder in the videos, it would've been cool to see him make a cameo.
Sick vid tho, good length...so to speak
You can guarantee Barry and Jim had a good smoke up too! 😂😂👌🏻
honestly though i dont think ive ever seen a more indepth underground scene like this besides juicebox, you got on there level.
Nice, Dave is great at the shed finds. Good to see you getting excited about real peoples cars in other countries. Easy to get lost in videos over the net, imagining things unreal. Ireland has their style on lock.
Great blog Jimmy n Dave, what a awesome day the Irish Boyz are so accommodating 🤙👏👏👏
Thank you for this amazing glimpse into the Ireland car culture. Truly mind blowing seeing how they do it compared to any other place
Best video ever ! Thanks Jim and Irish Dave.
by far my favorite Jimmy Oakes video ❤️👍👍
This is what i wanted to see, jimmy builds his own cars, so obviously he fully appreciated the different cars n setups...really enjoyed this 💯💯
Dave wasn't kidding. Adrians black Levin is absolutely beautiful.
This video is amazing. Such a great JDM experience in Ireland. Keep up the great content. I love the video being one long instead of multiple. Dave is an Awesome host. Love his content and personality. Irish people are great. Hope to visit Ireland one day. Love your enthusiasm about any content you do. I have the same JDM addiction. Great job Jimmy!
