A 17 yr old kid won the Last Chance Battle in a [show] car built on a 50yr old frame, stock SR engine & trans, with a bunch of one-off show car bits, & no angle kit or windshield wipers in the rain. Driver skill and practice goes a lot further than the amount of credit people give to the car

Fully agree, felt the same about the last LZ event too. Like the competition is awesome, the driving is great but the vibes from everyone is just the best, everyone seems to be having a great time and hyping each other up. The perfect example of how the community can and should be, no burnouts shutting down carpark meets just gotta get to the track and have a blast

I think jimmy found the perfect car and setup for him, engine, trans, angle kit.. and an S chassis and he’s good to go, just use one of those cars back in the states to build a twin

Jimmy, something I noticed in your video, plus I've seen Sammit do it too. Short socks & bare ankles. If you're in a fire, the burns to your ankles would be bad. You're wearing all that safety equipment to save you, but neglect that one thing. Please find a pair of long cotton or wool socks, both materials are fire resistant. Not nylon socks, as they can melt into your skin. So, Happy Birthday, Jimmy. Sorry if it sounds like I'm lecturing you, but as the Victorian era Women used to do, cover those ankles.
