I was kind of hoping this would be a supercut of Kratos dismembering people. That's about as much detail as you need to understand it the original trilogy.
I understand your reasoning but the original trilogy is much more than gore but a tale of tragedy.

@@Gazpacho834 it makes me sad to see that the "Fans" of this franchise are still so vocal about the new games being so "grown-up", when they've not understood what the original stories are and how tragic the story truly is. It still breaks my heart to play through the moment of having to push Calliope away so Kratos can save the world.
Fun fact - the runes written beside Kratos in Jotunheim cave mural are spelling "Farbauti". In actual Norse lore, Farbauti is father of Loki and his name means "angry striker" or "sudden striker". It makes a lot of sense why Kratos is named like this.

Never thought of Kratos to be more diplomatic in the Norse realm than in the Olympian realm
In Greek part of GoW he is basically hot-headed teen with huge bloodthirst who shoots first and asks questions later. But then he aged, learned from his mistakes during his life in Greece, and he is intending for his kid to not go down his path.

At the final Baldur boss rn in GoW 2018. Forgot how great of a game it was tbh. Haven’t played it fully, since the week it was released back in 2018. GoW: Ragnarök comes out tmrrw night. Can’t wait. 👏🏼👏🏼

I never played any of the other God of War games, but got Ragnarok with my PS5 and was considering playing it. I feel like a fish out of water with this. Haha.

kinda doesnt make sense , why and how he would return ? its not even the same world midgard and greece are 2 different realms as we saw in the temple of tyr with each pantheon ruling a unique version of earth . the boat taken sail between realms not between seas

but in myths in general Odin isnt known to be that strong . idk if you saw him in the second new game of god of war or not but his underwhelming look is how he is . weak looking he is more about schemes than power . Zeus is of a whole different league probably even thor cant beat him since thor is more equal to Hercules in term of power . ithe greek gods in geneeral are stronger than the norse ones in term of power given to them by those who imagined them .

The tree that Mímir is stuck to is most likely Yggrasil, the tree of life. The sapling or juice from it is collected in a bowl or well of sorts. And it was from this well that Odin drank from to gain his wisdom and he had to sacrifice one of his eyes for. Also Loki and Baldur play a major role in the precursor to Ragnarök.
Also Freyja is sometimes referenced as Frigg, or are the same person. And they are wife to Odin.

To be honest, Kratos could defeat- no I’m doing that again. Weebs have been in my inbox for four years now.
Alfheim was miserable. I made it mostly through this game when I got bored of the combat. Story was good. I’ll try ragnarok
Glad the developees have taken such care with my heritage lore/ myth/ old religion, faith, heroes, beasts and heroines. Regarding the 9 realms. You can look at it in 2 ways. 1: Each realm are on a version of Earth/ Midgard but Yggdrasil is a magical space construct maybe in orbit around Earth/ Midgard OR a construct gateway highway in a pocket dimension. 2: The 9 realms are 9 separate planets in different solar systems connected with yet again Yggdradil a magical space construct ( with an own atmosphere ). In either case Fimbulwinter spreads through Yggdrasil, somehow.
Lastly.
