The people in the horse industry just amaze me. Not only is this "trainer" a horrible trainer and has no clue about horses, They people sending their horses to her are just as clueless and pay to have their horse abused.

So here is the link for people to see for themselves. I have deleted links and comments but I will stop and let her supporters say what they want. Someone said it is not her fault because someone taught her, that is BS. If you choose to abuse an animal that can't or won't fight back that is your CHOICE, and it is absolutely your fault.*

I just left my boyfriend because his 12 year old Mare horse wouldn’t stand still while he was working on her hooves so he kicked her as hard as he could in the stomach. I got so sick to my stomach I had to run to the bathroom to throw up. He told me to shut up because i know nothing about horses. I told him that I do know that you should never kick a horse

These kind of actions and "training" mught give fast reponses but they are not efective and good!
My old trainer once kicked the horse when i was on that mare because she was scaring of a door. She got spooked so much and started to run, I was an amateur and tried to stop her because i was afraid as well...
Then i realised that i cant stop her by pulling so I let her run and run. Then she slowed down, but that wasnt a great experience for both of us...
Next time, i tried my best to make her get in from the door because i did not want to live the same thing, he smiled and said "yeah be harsh like that!"
I did not mean to be harsh that time, i just did not want him to kick her again.
He got fired after a while

want to know why she kicked the horse? she wants a specific response and can't get it. out of frustration she strikes out at the horse. she then uses the training excuse to cover up her lack of self control.
and sorry but getting her charge with abuse is not likely no more than using a bit, riding crop, spurs or any of the other pathetic pain compliance devices out there.
and kicking her for kicking the horse would only result in an assault charge against you.
frustrated? I feel your pain and your desire to defend the horse just remember the possible consequences of your actions.

Too bad its not a reverse hurt & there are no consequences for the humans actions, against the young horse , acting in it's ONLY natural, instinctual way that it knows & that is as a powerful, fearful ,prey animal with a strong will to flee quickly & survive. I think letting the horse know , that jt won't be killed and eaten ,
by humans acting as aggressive predators, similar to screaming cougars jumping on their backs on the plains, might be the very first step in creating, a solid trust & rapport with the horse and eventually creating a dependable, willing & eager, team mate with that beautiful creature. It takes a bit more time, but all horses are individuals and cannot be forced & expected to perform willingly. When things are forced , they often become broken & broken things , don't always work right, (sometimes ever again) correctly, or to expectation.

Seem's like if it was a great way to train them then it should attract more ppl to her to train their horse's. The reason she wants it taken down is because she realizes she screwed the pooch. If my horse went to her and I seen this video of her training my horse that way and it comes back to be screwed up....I would have her ass over a barrel. He makes me so livid I get so close to calling animal control even though they don’t do much.
One time my Icelandic mare was scared of the trailer and he took one of those tie down clamps and hooked it to her halter and was pulling her in from her head. Me being just a pre teen literally has no effect on him when I say stop. Worst thing about it was it was on my birthday and my best friend was with us too! I was so pissed. She totally used the horses for money and profit. She once sent her horses to a festival to be used for pony rides and didn't even show up to help she made other people do it while she stayed home then she kept the money from it, ridiculous. I can’t believe people pay her for this. It’s ridiculous! If I found out that the trainer I’d hired was treating my horse like she treats this one, all hell would break loose. The fact that she can’t see that the horse isn’t comfortable being tacked is a HUGE sign she shouldn’t be working with horses. If the horse doesn’t have good solid ground manners, the horse isn’t going to be better under saddle. And not to mention that she’s lunging the horse every single time before she rides is another red flag. Lunging is for teaching the horse or for properly exercising, not to tire it out before riding it. Some people just shouldn’t work with animals

She walked right around the backside of that scared horse carrying that saddle; she’s lucky he didn’t kick the crap out of her. If he’s scared, you’re not going to get a good result. I recently purchased a Kentucky Mountain horse. Someone someplace trained her to perfection. But someone someplace also beat the living hell out of her. I learned very fast to never touch a stick, touch a rake, touch anything off the floor or she will panic to point of injuring herself. I had small stick ( tree branch ) stuck under the door last night. I absentmindedly pulled the stick out as was closing up. She saw that before I even thought about what I was doing. My good gentle horse turned mental. Huge eyes, backing away, shivering and eyes on my hand. I wonder what happened to her. I wonder how is best way to get her to see, I will not hit her. Right now, I took up the object of fears and hold as I offer small bit of treats. I hold as she takes treat. This is huge as for many weeks would not accept any food from my hand out of fear. When I watch this, I know horses this woman handles will carry the memory for rest of their lives. And when they get passed around here there and everyplace, some sorry person is going to try and brush the belly, pull off a burdock etc.- and horse will land that one and last kick. Makes me so darn sad.

My horse was exactly like yours!! How i got her to overcome her fear, was when she was in her paddock (i wanted her to have room to run if she felt threatened) I came in with a small crop and, when she was watching me, I turned my back to her and started rubbing the crop on my legs and arms so she knew it wasnt hurting me, then I dropped it and walked over to her. I kept doing this every day and each day I would go a bit closer to her, and then when I was close enough, I reached out and scratched her withers (she loves wither scratches) with the crop! Soon enough she began to associate the crop with a nice scratch and she began to like it!

Yes, that's what I do with my horse also. Thank you for reply. Even though she is well trained, I don't work on riding her. I work on the ground, gaining her trust. I saddle her and we go through trees, up down hills, up creekbed. I whoa, I turn, jog with her and do everything I can think of to make her work and keep an eye on me, learn to trust me. I put loads on her saddle and she carries things to her stall. I walk her on opposite side, saddle her from both sides etc.- just to show her that whatever I do, where ever we are, she has to listen and she can also trust me not to hurt her. But it takes patience and time. I am praying that by this spring, she will be not only a well trained horse, but also a calm horse that looks forward to being with me out on the trail.

She doesn't understand direction and discipline never punishment. The horse in my profile picture was a bronc. She squirmed all over and bucked when I cinched her up. I spent my first summer with her, saddling her every day and letting her just wear it. I never tied her. Instead she was allowed to move. Once she got to the point where she was passed bucking I used the fence to help her with standing still, but again she was not tied so if she really needed to move, she could. I still have to be careful how I go about things. It not what you do but how you do it. My mentor rode with both Tom Dorrance and Ray Hunt. He spent a lot of time with Tom in California. I am so fortunate that I learned what I learned from my good friend and mentor. But every day I work with horses I see that I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what Tom or Ray knew, or what my mentor knew.
" some Horsemen reach a point where they feel like nothing can stump them. I have learned though, that with horses, you realize there's always so much more to know. Whatever ego you begin with, horses will eventually get it in check and you will leave every situation feeling humbled, like there is still so much more to learn". They built in a short amount of time, and pastured the property quickly,as well. Had LOTS of animals quickly, and built the house as an after thought. They left just as quickly. Seemed to leave over night. Hope she isn't "training" anymore.

The first time she kicked him, the moment before she did it, he actually did stand still for a second, but then she kicked him so he moved forward.
