Silovs plays the same way he did for Latvia at the Worlds, we can win the cup. Yes. We can. It has to be that kind of a clutch run.
Don't forget that Latvia made an official holiday and created a statue for Silovs. A STATUE!
1 more loss in any fashion, and Silovs plays.

Love that you brought us Kevin and Brendan today. Great Guests ! And even some more Cheech ! Well done gang last night and today were very entertaining. And are we not lucky to have had Garrett for so many years ? He was such a great exuberant personality with so much knowledge and history to share.

Considering his hockey god performance during his first NHL playoff start in 2022 against NYR amounted to 48 saves on 51 shots in the course of regulation time and two periods of overtime.... and injured nonetheless. DeSmith is more than up to the task and he is no stranger to Nashville ice.

  • @NoobNoonan-kc9fn

That's what's so frustrating about Demko. It was a nothing play, and he's out for a month or longer. The guy is too fragile. I would think about moving him at some point before his contract is up. He can't stay healthy long enough to give the Canucks starting goaltending. They would have to have a 1a 1 a system like Boston has, and that's pretty much impossible, so I say move him out for somebody who either has the potential or is a decent young starting goalie. There aren't too many options, but you almost have to explore them. Swayman, Oettinger, Askarov, there are very few decent options I can think of. What I do know is this Demko problem isn't going away. He's going to be a Schneider/ Price very soon. In fact, this injury might be the straw that broke the camels back. Look at that play and tell me he's not the new glass man of the league, and with every injury, you don't always come back to 100%. 30 is a year and a half away for Demko and with his injury history there's no way the Canucks should sign him long term.

Is Demko worth the 8 to 9 million on his next contract considering he is injured so often?

Myers has the flu and I'm guessing so do a lot of the others.
End of the day we held them to like 13 shots and as bad as we looked we easily could have won that game.
This team has refused to spiral all season and I refuse to think that the nucks will continue to miss the net 32 times in a game and not score a pp goal.
We need to score first and we need to load up the top six. These two games have shown us Nashville is a 1 team line and because of that we should focus on two legit top lines.
Boeser - JT - Mikheyev against their top line.
      Joshua - Lindholm - EP
      Garland - Blueger - Hogz
      Podz - Suter - Lafferty.
Can also unite best 3rd line in hockey and keep Hogz with his fellow Swedes.
PP1 needs to have Lindholm or Joshua as a net front presence, Garland is not a guy built for a pp, he's not a guy that gets points from a stationary situation similar to Hogz.
None of it matters tho if they can't hit the net or get the shot through with the former caused imo by them suffering from the flu that kept Myers out, they just seem to be lacking polish which usually happens when your not feeling great.

Again Casey has the worst numbers on the PK -gives up alot of early goals-and the team plays differently in front of him--but it's either him or Silovs so he gets one more start and if he loses then they switch.Even if we go down 1-2 we are the better team so should be fun

    • @Bp79-or4kp
      @Bp79-or4kp Před 12 dny

Yup, give it to Silovs. At least he's able to make a big save, that first and 3rd goals were back breaking and terrible goals that should have been stopped. All 3 actually were horrible.

  • @virtualrealitychannel2276

Time and time again athletes prove they're human too so, probably the chant was a 5% factor on that embarrassing goal. However, had that not happened it also could have bolstered DeSmith. By all means don't be afraid to make him feel like a giant if he makes a big save because the team can't play "not to lose," fear-based hockey. That's why they choked last night. Keep trying to turn him into something nobody expects imho because sometimes crazy sports miracles come true when an athlete is compressed to maximum pressure. Worst case scenario is they lose which is the most probable outcome at this point anyways.
