So?? Why don't you celebrate halloween??? I live in Latin America, I love the north america culture and I celebrate halloween in my house with my family, I decorate and I do all the stuff of halloween...
@@sherrypeach5747 sounds good. Thanks.
im sri lanka too
Your are so cute Alisha 😍
interesting.
Hello alisha, congratulations on your program. I see you from Spain, and it is still hard for me to understand English, but at home they say that millions of English people have achieved it, it cannot be impossible (I trust they are right) I would like to ask you ... Where is the accent from? with which you pronounce?
Hello there, I am an American and to me Alisha's accent sounds like the "average" American accent that you would hear in a lot of the western US States.
elo benc pozdrawiam
YEY!
Love Samhain
My name is Anjali... I'm from India...we don't celebrate Halloween here instead we celebrate our own culturised festival in our own traditional way....and it's almost similar to Halloween...i wish that even we could hv celebrated Halloween inour country also...
There is too much information in 3 minutes, but it was very interesting
vous pouvez parler doucement thank's.
Si.
Samhain is pronounced /ˈsɑːwɪn/ SAH-win
I was going to say the same thing. Thanks for catching it too. Other than that it was a nice video. Oh, and for those who think of it as an "evil" holiday to be banned?... Open up a history book for crying out loud! You sound like a loon! Not to mention, that the American culture is a construct of several cultures blended over time because we are a nation of immigrants. If your faith claims it can't be celebrated, then don't do it. However, your faith is not the faith of the land and cultural diversities are what this nation was founded on over time. Halloween, Samhain (Summer's End), All Hollow's Eve... or whatever you wish to call it, is a time when the living face death. We honor our dead, or welcome the departed to join us, we view death in a variety of ways, including the coming of winter, which to the ancients was death for them and a way to acknowledge the turning of the wheel. Please be respectful of other people's customs or traditions and don't speak about things you don't understand. It's insulting when the overtly religious types try to convert people with their one sided views of religion. There are many, many paths just as there are many people and cultures and languages. Blessed be and may your celebrations be happy ones!
when did halloween celebrate
anu
Thank you!!
Alisha do you have facebook?! :D

I already know about Halloween i've watched so many movies that theme about Halloween but in my country we don't celebrate Halloween i don't know why btw Im Indonesian
Hello
In Colombia, the halloween isn´t celebrated as a many european countries and the U.S., The halloween is more simply than the festivals made in those countries. The childs and some adults pick up a lot of candies, that the people give them. I don´t know how the halloween is celebrated in Japan, China, Egypt and many countries in Afrika, but I would like to learn the form that Halloween is celebrated there.
children
That's due to Halloween having its origins in Ireland and only countries where there was a lot of Irish migration celebrate halloween ie: Ireland, UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Other countries may have jumped on the bandwagon.
I guessed answer
i can catch every words but i didn't understand what it's mean because alisha speaks so fast for me (as a beginner)
Hey Alisha! How's it going! Thank you so much for a good information about American culture; nevertheless, I've to tell you that in my country we don't celebrate halloween, this holiday is not really well-known by my people unfortunalety.
Halloweens Irish but Americans call it their traditions

If Halloween is the second most popular holiday in the us, wich one is the most popular?
Thanksgiving? 4th july? Christmas?
Adriano Melo I'm pretty sure it's christmas, considering how much advertising for it comes on a week after halloween.
Thank you. I live in Brazil and I am also pretty sure Christmas is the most popular holiday over here. But I've heard a couple of times that Thanksgiving is more popular than Christmas in the US. I guess they were wrong then.
Well I'm not sure if they're wrong, it could be true depending on where they live in the U.S., but from I've seen in my part of the country, christmas seems to be the most popular.
Christmas is the most popular.
Note: Hallowe'en is NOT American. What has been added is what the Americans THINK is Hallowe'en by its' commercialization for profit.

well duh the roots are from Europe, That's where the holiday began. It was entered to the US through Irish immigrants. I don't know why that fact was not included? You elude to the holiday just appearing into the culture with no explanation. Lol
