Looking good man!

can you do this type of video with ottomans
I love these scenarios, but might I suggest the alternative? What if everzthing went WRONG for X as an opposite series? With the focus being what the ramifications would be for everyone else, still keeping it realistic though so not all countries just dissapear.
Yeah I've been considering that, might need to think of how to kick that series off, since as you pointed out, most nation will have a "they stop existing" moment
@@possiblehistory think a video on the UK from 1700-1838 would be a good one. It could end with Victoria ascending to the equivalent of Spain instead of a golden age.
@@possiblehistory USA, UK, France, and maybe Japan are all in pretty good positions to get everything wrong and still continue to exist (In some reduced form)
@@IDontKnow-sf6iv I think Britain is an amazing suggestion, they have everything to lose to oversees rivals and rebellion, but their home island will never be under serious threat
@@possiblehistory well you could make it so it goes as badly as possible without them getting too small or dying
In Central Asia Russia could’ve realistically gotten most of Xinjiang considering how brittle the Qing empire was
And lots of Tibet too
@@precariousworlds3029 Probably not a lot of Tibet because Britain would probably think that it would be too close to the highly populated areas of India. I think 1 of the reasons that the Wakhan corridor in Afghanistan was allowed to be that narrow was because it was next to a sparsely populated area while almost half of Indians live within 300 miles of the Himalayas.
@@ojamaftk9585anyway the British wanted Tibet to be independent or atleast under their influence
Russia actually had an opportunity to annex Xinjang somewhere around the 1880s, but the emperor decided not to because the area was very lacking in resources and had an awful infrastructure. Not to mention that China would have been pissed off greatly. Trade and friendship were a far more lucrative option
@@ivanbadaev6621 that probably would’ve made their current treatment not as bad since they’d likely be their own SSR, but still heavily influenced by china. It also would ofc be a target for the Chinese to try and take over, since they are very nationalistic.
14:58 bro, you made bulgaria bigger than it was in the 'what if everything went perfect for bulgaria?' Video 😂😂
The biggest Bulgaria we get from his videos is in "What If The Central Powers Won WW1?" 😁
What about a counterpart series where everything goes wrong instead of right for a given nation?
Example: What if everything went terribly for Britain?
The Irish Empire takes over England.
Did that in my eu4 campaign as the usa. Fought the british again a few decades after the revolutionary war. Weakened them so much that is was the french that controlled most of india with the british only controlling a small part of bengal. The austrians, prussians, and french also declared a few wars here and there due to great britain not being strong enough and lacking good allies. Basically the austrians owned all of scotland, the prussians most of england (north and east including london), the french owning the southern parts of england, and irish states declaring independence. What was left of Great britain was wales, a bit of territory in west england, and a small part of east ireland.
Russia in my game also managed to conquer most of iran just like in this video, as well as parts of northern china
I'd love that
Spanish Armada defeats English fleet. The U.K. may still form after the annexation of Scotland and Ireland, but Britain has no empire, is cut off from the Continental empires, and is doomed to become the Philippines of Europe.
Been waiting for a Russian entry into the series. Would it be possible for Greece to do the same, always thought that would be interesting
I have a feeling that most of it would probably be just greece larping as the eastern romans
@@maskedmidas1655All the more reason for PH to make a video about that, tbh.
Especially since most people who try and imagine that don’t put much effort into making it realistic.
I'd suggest the sweet scenario of no 2nd Balkan war after which Greece manages to get in on the entente side with Bulgaria in. They definitely need support for the Greco-Turkish war of 1920s. They mainly got to win this conflict to change their outcome for the future. Imagine they get helped and Turkye gets smashed. Greece would have a large base of operations outside of Europe. For its own size being on 2 continents be good. In ww2 they technically would have much more ability to resist the axis powers from the 2nd base of operations. It's not bad it you got a place to run to in cause there is a need. Wealthier, having moreman power and strategically better situated it gives Greece opportunities. I'd imagine No1 would really have a big problem with Greece getting further and further in Anatolia. If they could manage to neutralise the Turks in there then they could become a meaningful state in future.

Agreed!
FACTS. This is the best alternative history channel on youtube. Most of these folks are unhinged
Can you also make a part two of this? What does Russia do about its development and industrialization? What about the Russian revolution? Do the communists win still or do the white Russians have a better chance? At World War II? even the Cold War? And modern? I have so many questions and I am very interested in this. I hope you make a part two of this video.
if Russia won ww1, there would be no russian revolution, then no ww2 and no cold war, russia would still have good relationship with USA
Can you do: What If Everything Went PERFECT For Austria and Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Obivously seperate videos. I think that would be interesting.
ooooo Austria would be fun

Scenario idea: explore the potential of Venezuela in history, believe me, it deserves a video.

Scenario Idea: What if Everything Went perfect for Italy?
From what time window?
@@greeneanimations3660I'm assuming when Italy existed beyond a geographic term, so not Rome.

Honestly, for me you are the best channel by far for alternate history. Keep up the good work. Also don't know if you are currently taking user video requests but can you do a "what if everything perfect for x" video on the Ottomans? And good video as always!
Wow man, I love your videos, your maps are really well drawn and historically accurate. Good job👍👍
The country's "What if everything went perfect for..." I really want to see is Italy's for plenty of reasons. Italy had many lost opportunietes of unifying earlier (in modern era it's the First War of Italian indipendence in 1848 but the revolt in Hungary was repressed and other italian states stopped supporting Savoy) and creating a decent colonial empire (Tunisia being taken before France, Giovanni Cerruti's proget in New Guinea going well and Italy winning against Ethiopia in the first Italo-Ethiopian war, buying North Borneo by Austria-Hungary and being considered in the Scramble for Africa). Italy could have been richer too (even if internal affairs are not what you talk about in this videos) thanks to better developing programs in the South or earlier industrialization. Also this video would be very interesting for all italian irredentist claims.
It may also be because I'm italian
ngl first i was like "why dont they do this or that to gain a bunch of size" he actually does it in a realistic way. most of the other ones dont care about enemys. and say "Russia annexes this"
I genuinely love this series
I feel that Russia should have still lost in the crimean war in this timeline as it was this loss that finally woke up the Russian elite and Russia finally started properly modernizing. A better timeline for what if everything went perfect for Russia would be:
1. All goes the same until the Crimean war, then Russia started modernizing after their loss in that war (like in our timeline) and we can then let them be more successful at their modernizing reforms. We can have the Tsar Alexander II not be assassinated in 1881 and be more successful at his reforms.
2. We need to have either Tsar Nicholas II be replaced by someone more competent or simply have Nicholas II himself be a more capable emperor somehow. I also think that Russia holding onto alaska is very unrealistic as the area was simply too unprofitable to hold and Russia's military position in alaska was very weak compared to USA or the British empire.
3. Then we need to have Russian military be manned by much more competent people so that it wins its war against Japan in 1905 and also the first world war against Germany.
4. Whether or not Russia gets Constantinople depends on which nations military occupies it after the defeat of ottomans in the first world war. Britain back then would make false promises to its allies to keep everyone on board and then renege on those promises once the war was over. So, if Constantinople was occupied by British or any other countries military, then Russia would not get constantinople but if it was the Russian military which occupies Constantinople, then they would get it as their fair share of war spoils. We can just have this scenario happen here.
5. The condition in Russia was pretty bad before the war. Russia simply had too many systemic issues for the country to not go through some revolution. We will just have the revolution occur in 1920's after Turkey has been securely defeated in its war for independence (so that Russian gains in Constantinople are secured).
6. In the revolution, we shall have a fascist military dictator come to power instead of the communists. This is important because under communists, the birthrate in Russia massively declined. Under a more religiously minded regime, we can assume that the birthrate of Russian population be much better as religious populations tend to have higher birthrates. This will automatically cause Russia to be more powerful in the world stage as an inherent consequence of having a much larger population.
7. After this, we can have Russia follow the Spain model in which after a civil war, a right wing military dictator came to power but under the cultural and diplomatic influence of other western countries Spain modernized and ultimately became a democracy and a developed first world nation. Besides, there is precedence for this in Russian history in the person of Peter the great who was an autocratic ruler who emulated the west and introduced reforms in the country to make it an undeniable great power. We can have this neo Peter the great figure autocratically introduce reforms to post revolution Russia inspired by the west. Then Russia slowly becomes a democracy after the dictator's passing and becomes a developed first world nation.
8. With this, we can have world war 2 happen as it happened in our timeline and then, Russia becomes a rich first world developed country and with its great and growing population, large landmass and bountiful resources, become the strongest nation on earth by the later part of the 20th century, rivaled only by the USA.
Great video! Thank u
I think another interesting one would be, if everything went perfect for Austria/the Habsburgs
Global empire of Western Christendom consisting of Spain, Portugal, France, Britain and Ireland, the Americas, Holy Roman Empire, Hungary and Croatia, Sicily and Southern Italy, the Philippines, and several colonies in India and Africa.
Для Австрии и так всё сложилось идеально
Another real video from the possible history news network 🗣🔥🇷🇺
For the austrian part of the peace treaty i think it would go different simply because Russia was the prominent supporter of the promises made to italy about dalmatia
how about a what if everything went perfect for Sweden? like winning the great northern war and keeping the baltics
That would be a very interesting video!
Great video. And mad props for the Avatar reference
What if everything went perfect for Britain?
To focus on oje specific period: Britain after the hundred years war because then Britain began to focus on being a sea power rather than fighting land wars over France
Dude that's a rediculous alt history scenario question. Don't be cheaky😅. Britain is among the most successful empires of the last millennia. It's language already global.
@@stevekook-xw3is And yet it could have been better. For example: Fighting a less bloody world war 1 and 2. Maybe the empire could have endured for much longer

Great video, scenario idea: What if America never became independent and remained a British colony? (As a result of a failed revolution, no revolution, etcetera)
There's a HOI4 mod called "Pax Britannica" Which basically has this scenario as the entire plot. It isn't too realistic though, because it includes steam work and robots a lot for no reason but it still has the basic jist.

Dear Mr. Possible History
I was wondering if you could make a "What if everything went perfect for the United Nations?" alternate history scenario, you see, i am a sucker for world governments and was wandering if there is a possible/plausible sequence of events that would create a UN world union or something of the kind.
Edit: A world shadow government would suffice as well :)
basically already exists
dystopia and cultural replacement

I think having one government of the world in peace is a silly idea, eventually it'll turn into a dystopian world
@@yets0 Why would that be?
What if everything went perfect For Austria? Long live the Habsburgs?
Long Live Blessed Kaiser Karl! 🙏🏻
This was an awesome video continue these and continue your videos in general also what about the tales of 3 empires part 2
Thank you so much for making this video about Russia, I've been waiting for it for a very long time.
Suggestion: what if everything went PERFECT for france?
Just before the war, Russian elites had promised independence to the Poles in all of the lands they incontestibly are the majority. Danzig and Polish corridor issues would be an open, bleeding wound in Germany's heart and Russia had a skillful diplomacy that would definitely use it and make sure Germany was occupied with issues in Poland. The Turkish straits are not so important as the access to the Mediterranean can be blocked via the Greek Islands, so Britain had come to terms with that too. So Russia would get Istanbul too.
You should do Mexico next! It feels like they really drew the short end of the straw and Id love to see your take on a world where everything went right for them
He kinda did one already. His "Tale of 3 Superpowers" video
you should do a 20th century sequel to this. Very good video
Stll want to see a "what if everything went perfect for England/Britain",couple different ways you could take it thinking off the top of my head.
Great Video as always. I have a quick question. How do you create your maps? I've been wanting to get into map creating for alternate history world-building but can't seem to find any nice blank maps, without modern boarders on them I'd have to spend hours erasing manually, or at high enough resolution to zoom in enough for more detailed edits.
Erasing the borders isn't that much of an issue. You could probably have that done in half an hour or so with a modern map. Just erase the ends that intersect bodies of water and then use the paint bucket tool to change the colour of the borders to the background colour. What really takes time is making border adjustments that make sense with the topography.
Love this series!
Your channel is one of the best alt history channels i know

What if Carlos II of spain had a true son?

My favorite part of this series is that it keeps realistic like during the Napoleonic wars Napoleon decided to give everything to Russia and the Uk joins Russia and they just own Russia, but instead the scenario is kept realistic
I have a scenario: what if bohemia united the hre? Basically, in this scenario, the luxembourg dynasty in bohemia doesn't die out with Sigismund, so bohemia doesn't get inherited by neither the habsburgs nor the jagellons. I really want to see this kind of scenario, and how it would affect the HRE as a whole.
I'd like a similar Video with Austria. That would be intresting
I think a "What if the partitions of Poland didn't take place?" would be a cool idea for a video to make
It would be, the Germans needed their territories, in Russia, its territory of Rus'. So Poland would always be a thorn in the side of its neighbors, but it could unite with Russia in an alliance if it ceded a decent part of the territory.
Poland would lose the territories that went to the Russian Empire during the division of the lands and Carpathian Rus, which would make Russia more like the Soviet Union in the western territories. But Poland would have kept most of the German lands, as a result, it could be a little more than modern Poland. It would be stronger and could consolidate strong friendly relations with Russia. Otherwise, Russia would either have claims on its territory, or it would be more profitable for it to cooperate with the Germans, which would lead to the division of Poland.
I think it would be very interesting to do one of these about Portugal
I personally thought that Austria would not be devided after the Great war, as the western powers saw it as a great buffer state between the west and Russia, and dismantled the empire because of the fall of Russia and the red rebellions. I belive we could see a smaller austria-Hungary (Owning Czechia Austria Hungary and maybe some of Transilvania) and possibly a less powerfull Germany
I love that ATLA reference at 9:00
as the fire nation was probably meant to represent Imperial Japan, and you said "but everything changed when Japan attacked"
Ok odd request - do this but for Austria starting prior to the brothers war. I’m interested to see your take on an Austrian Europe.
I like the use of sound effects
You, forgot the invasion of Iran between the British and the Russians during wwi.
That Victoria 2 war declaration sfx got me lool
What if Chinese Song dynasty achieved industrial revolution? It was extremely likely in our timeline
It was precicely the internal politics that needed to be focused on. Russija becoming bigger would just cause more problems, it needed to reconsile with the fact that 50% of the population where not russijan and didnt want to be part of Russija.
So many previous generations created a perfect decision - genocide + ethnocide
Bruh almost all of these people wanted to be part of some form of Russian lead sphere. The only exceptions were the Baltics and parts of Poland. Heck - both of Finland and Poland had civil wars because they could not decide if they wanted to be pro or anti Russian. Ukraine, Belorus, Khazachstan, Azerbaischjan, Georgia and Armenia immediatly sided with Russia in the civil war. So did Turkmenistan and Taschjikistan. Again, the only ethnicity in Russia that was really oposed to Russian rule were the Balts and Poles.
@@dwarow2508 "Bruh almost all of these people wanted to be part of some form of Russian lead sphere." No!
"The only exceptions were the Baltics and parts of Poland." The most cultured and economically developed parts of the empire. Only those who where less developed than the russijan core wanted to be propped up by it.
"Heck - both of Finland and Poland had civil wars because they could not decide if they wanted to be pro or anti Russian." No! "The most cultured and economically developed parts of the empire. Only those who where less developed than the russijan core wanted to be propped up by it."
Nah that was Russia, followed by Belorus and Ukraine. Poland and the Baltics were poor compared to those, living in near medieval conditions.
Again, even in those nations the public was devided on what it wanted to be. During Russia's great retreat in 1915, Polish writers noted the general feeling of sadness seeing the Russians leave as it felt like losing a distant relative.
"No! They had civil wars over if they wanted to be capitalist or comunist, and in Estonia for example the moment the comunists announced they wanted to join with Russijan Soviet Socialist Republic they lost all support so no civil war in Estonia."
No! They had civil wars about who they wanted to side with. The capitalist Estonians for example fought against the whites while siding with the Soviet Russians. Meanwhile the Soviet Russians recognized the independence of white Finland even before the Finish civil war.
"What paralel universe did you come from? Because that never happened here."

This is a great video, Mr. Possible History. Even though it is not what I am expecting, but still a great content with excellent outcomes. You deserve more likes and subscribers from taking this amazing content and alternate history videos with actual history; beneficial to learn more about world history. Never give up on your dreams and goals, my friend. Keep pushing forward and always stay true to your passion and write on! Also, what do you think are exciting ideas for future alternate history videos: What if the Ottomans, under Selim I, had successfully conquered Persia, and he had lived? With Seilm I's reign, what would the Ottoman Empire be like, and what of Persia? With the Ottoman conquest of Persia, what would be the consequences of it? Would that the Ottomans would expand into the East?
What if the Maryuan Empire never collapse? The cause of the Maryuan Empire's decline was due to internal revolts, independence provinces, and foreign invasions. Buddhism is the main religion that forbids non-aggression and policies and laws that says people cannot eat meat and only become vegetarians. What makes the Maryuan Empire so interesting is that it is one of the first Indian empires that dominated the entire Indian subcontinent. Their armies defeated the Selcueed Empire, one of Alexander The Great Empire's successor states. They made dura steel that made the Romans powerful against their enemies, including gear such as swords and shields armor. Also, what led the Maryuan Empire to decline because of lousy leadership; after Ashoka the Great's death, there some provinces did not the Maryuan Emperors for incompetent leadership, and due to Buddishim leading to pacifism, it only led foreign powers use that as an advantage.
With a stronger Mauryan Empire with policies that can comprise to appease people in the provinces and expansion and good emperors after Ashoka Maurya and maybe it could be possible for the Roman Empire to stay intact with trade relations with India united by the Mauryan Dynasty would be possible for an alliance with Rome with one of the Maryuan Emperors marrying, Julia the Elder, daughter of Augtus Octvain Caesar, the Roman Emperor of the Roman Empire. Because something like that happens in an original timeline, with Chandragupta marrying Helena, the daughter of Selecus I Nickator. Could an alliance like that occur in an alternate timeline with the Mauryan Empire with more excellent stability?
Which of these two ideas do you like best, Mr.Possible History, and why? P.S. You're fantastic and unique in your way. Always remember that, my friend, and peace out!
good vid can you do one for sweden so its a bit of a diffrent time period. it will make it more intresting
only issue i see, is that Austro Hungary would most likely got to agreement with Italy in this timeline, without Bulgaria, they would be forced to get an ally, instead of enemy in this region
If Italy joins on the Central Powers, then it's even possible Spain joins on the Entente, what basically compansates the allies both in navy and army, in exchange for Corsica. Also, better for France, who would possibly annex the entire Savoy.
@@ivandreuxzuev9473Spain was VERY weak and unstable, so probably no
