    According to a rep at Diamond their radio boots much faster once installed in the bike and can not be replicated in our test accurately. I was unaware of this during the test and will boot faster in a Harley

    • @craigvollmer7332
      @craigvollmer7332 Před 3 měsíci +1

      The only time the mshd14 takes that long to boot is after a flash, or the radio power harness was unplugged and plugged back in. After that any time the radio/bike is turned on, it boots really quick

      As for the boot speed, that really isn't a big deal to me. I still have original GT radio, any of the new systems are better.

    One of the custom bike guys at Scottsdale HD during AZ bike week was bashing this guy and the V2. He said he had a hand in the creation of the diamond radio and it’s “extremely superior”. I preordered my V2 and can definitely say I’m glad I did that instead of getting the diamond after watching this video.

      @volunteeraudio I would think since harley used the GT radio for years and there's still lots of them in bikes would be enough of a reason but 🤷‍♂️ as for the discontinued radio (I bought one) to see the difference between the latest and greatest and their first effort.

    • @volunteeraudio
      @volunteeraudio  Před 3 měsíci

    Having the maestro inside the radio is a space saver even though it fits in the fairing. Why didn’t they just do it for the ultimate win? In another revision? From my understanding it’s not even weather proof like the radio?

    • @volunteeraudio
      @volunteeraudio  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yes it saves space and we would all like it internal for that reason, it currently uses not fully functional. I have never had an mrr or mrr2 fail from water on any of my installs. I position them high and leave drip loops on the wiring. The radio is ipx water sealed, the mrr is not but goes in a very dry place. And if it fails you’re not buying a new radio. If an integrated can module fails the radio would be defect
