Unboxing my new Kobo Libra H2O eReader

I unbox and set up my new eReader, then test it with my latest ebook. The setup is quick and easy, but you can dig deep into the user's manual (available in PDF from the Kobo.com web site) if you want to change many of the settings. I only changed the text size and line spacing, then I was ready to begin reading. It's an easy device to use and reading is a pleasure, indoors or outside.

Thanks for the review Dennis! I've been considering getting a new Kobo since I forgot mine in an airplane several years ago. I do have a tablet on which I read, but I really do prefer the format of the Kobo.

Thanks Mea. Although it has been only a few days, I'm pleased with it. I'm about 2/3 of the way through that book I showed in the video. -Dennis

It seems like a beautiful item but a bit of a unitasker. I guess the grey scale may be easier on the eyes for reading purposes but I read my e-books on my Chromebook. It cost quite a bit more but of course it is a laptop/tablet so it can do much more. I had a Kindle back in the day, I wouldn’t have thought there was a market for these devices anymore.

I also have a laptop and a Samsung tablet, both of which are okay for reading. For me, there were two important features of the Kobo - weight (under 7 ounces) and I can read in full sunlight. In good weather I like to sit outdoors. Thanks for the feedback Eric. -Dennis

I am still on the fence if i should buy another ereader, i already have kobo clara HD but i want to be able to read manga on a bigger screen. I think i’ll just wait for Black Friday deals, hopefully they will have nice deals on the Kobo H2o. Thanks for reviewing it.
