I felt the power of your lecture, learnt a lot, your wealth of knowledge is phenomenal. Your delivery is on point, I see why you have tutored students the world over and still come out tops.
Even when this video is since 10 years ago, everything still actual, I like the fact about the comunication, because now we have more digital meetings and we´ve been adapting. Thanks for the examples.
FINALLY no elevator pitch contest garbage… just back to what an actual ELEVATOR PITCH is, meaning, you find yourself on an elevator with the person you need to talk about your product /service /opportunity /whatever. You have the time it takes for the elevator to crawl three floors, to get them to want or agree to talk more. That’s what elevator pitches are in real life. In a Hollywood movie producer class I was in, 30 years ago, we did this to hammer out different levels of pitches: both verbal and written: from elevator pitch, then, to two sentences, (like the quick blurb, explaining an episode of a TV show,) to one paragraph, half pager, full page, two pager. you will use this when you’re figuring out how to communicate for a job, or to hire people, or to create something in science, art, business - or maybe to solve something in a relationship. You probably already have passion, now you need to work on persuasion… it starts with an elevator pitch!
Aloha I need to create an elevator pitch to call the military procurement people to purchase my disposable tooth brush. What do you advice for me to go about it
Hope you did your pitch and you figured out what they want, that is all you need to do figure out what they want and why they want it. People buy what they want more than they buy what they need
Aloha I'm able to sell my self because I love what I do. I'm a caregiver and I just went in to a new business that I also love the product but I'm not sure how to do an elevator pitch for my new product
My name is patty and I went to coursera in in business today's sir or ma'am. Maybe you could help me in something. Extend your hand out to shake. Then tell them you'll see them soon
What an awesome instructor. Wish us luck during our pitch competition in two weeks!
