I am 49 year old die hard rafi fan. Most surprising thing for me about Sourav is that , his age is only 24 ! He is from Kerala where hindi language is an alien language & most of the rafi songs are combination of Urdu & hindi lyrics.!! He is a miracle !! 👍👍
There is a place calicut in kerala state listen more retro hindi songs.i have studied in that place.people from calicut watch hindi movies too.

Hindi is not an alien language in Kerala. We learn hindi from class 5 th onwards, we speak Hindi. And we watch Hindi movies. So it is not an alien language here.

@@renetonoble5691 I generally do not reply for any of my comments. I am born and brought up in kerala. So called literate people at kerala still can not handle any kind of criticism. Even I learnt hindi in school but how many of us are using this language in daily basis or understand the meaning.being a keralaite I have realised it still a men dominating state and double standard state is kerala. I will be proud to be keralaite when you start respecting females. Men are so egoistic no change in that.men who come out from kerala and work other states or country adopt good qualities otherwise no change in kerala since my childhood I have experienced no changes now too.

There was another great singer who was as humble as Saurav. It was Mahendra Kapoor. Once in mid-80s I tuned to radio Vividh Bharati, in the middle of a program, where a singer was being interviewed and he was singing Mahendra Kapoor's songs. He was so humble that I thought that some new singer copying Mahendra Kapoor. After some time, when the radio jockey called the singer by his name, Mahendra Kapoor, I was surprised at his humbleness after being in the industry around quarter a century earning great fame. He was also singing Md Rafiji's song when in college.
