My Stihl dealers down the road are husband and wife, both been running the business for 20+ years. So easy to go in and get parts or ask advice etc. I'm very lucky to live near them, other dealers I've gone to are useless.
That gas cap tip is something I can use. I just happen to have one that I can't stop from storage leaking. I'll get one ordered in and I won't have to store my saw on it's side anymore - bonus of losing that slotted cap I hate. Thanks!
When I supplied my parts I made sure I had everything that all my saws may need. LOL! Great video.👍 Oh, I got my 36" STIHL lite bar & skip chain today. Didn't have time to cut with it today. Hopefully tomorrow after my welding job!
@@richardflagg3084 not sure if it will ever be done! Lol. Got my bar & chain. I need to run at least 1 tank of gas thru it before I finish adjusting the carb. But cuts great.
Scott Kunz (Treemonkey) machined the saw vise I have. He's on youtube but I don't know if he's still making them. I don't use it everyday but It's been the best addition to the shop I've ever bought.
Hey Mr flagg... I'm wanting someone to port a new 550xp mark 2. I'm from Smyrna TN and don't know anyone in my area that does that kinda work. Could you recommend me someone who I could send my saw to that would do me right. I'm looking for someone dependable and trustworthy and not someone who will just rip me off or even steal my saw. I'm a truck driver but use saws alot on our farm so not needing a race saw but something that's still very impressive to grab a hold of. Any advice or direction would be great
2 out of the 3 Full stihl 660 I have had has had same sawdust/debris in carb at screen like the one u just shown did @1:17 sorta leads me to believe the OEM 660’s fuel line was maybe junk from start. Maybe a bad batch of rubber. 2cents for what it’s worth Ehh.
parts and service pay the rent ( called service and parts absorption rate ). ours was 110 percent meaning 10 percent profit without any sales of equipment or automobiles 😁😁
Man she sounds good👍 and pulled better than I'd have thought with the 9 pin! Great work🤌 On another note, have you seen Aaron A. Lynch's teardown of his holzfforma g372xp after 3+ years of maxima castor 927 @32:1👀 incredible results IMO! He mentioned you in the video, hoping you'd see it. Gonna try it in a couple of my saws🤪

One hell of a saw. I like that shirt you're wearing. Lol
Thanks for the videos! Would love to learn more on the port work and epoxy on the intake side.
Very strong build! thank you
Running great, strong and versatile.
Very cool. Richard. Keep um coming.

That’s a hot lil 660.. 💪
Kevin gona end up with one the best collection of saws around
Good porting info on the Stihl ms 660. I think I will try some epoxy work in my intake as well because mine is very large.

@@richardfuerst5286 Nice!
That 8pin seems to like it
Nice port work on the jug, nice, clean and smooth, she runs really nice. 👍
Nothing like a dealer that does not know their parts. 😡
I know rite!!
Good parts guy is definitely hard to come by
Fo sho
Love it
Kind of looked like the 8pin is the way to go.
Cool build what kind of stand are you using to hold the saw?I need one for my shop. Keep up the great videos

Any good vids to help with a first build ? Done a bit of work an research wanna take the leap
Hello, where do you find the 9 pinion? and is there not a modification to be made on the bar for this to work?
Good parts guys are non-existent in my area, have been for years now unfortunately. Can't even get someone to cut a loop of chain within 100 miles.
Oooofff

I don't know this for a fact but the older rubber seems to hold up better. I think they took something out of the rubber compound. Just a theory.

Henry Ford said "I'll give you the car, just come see me for the parts" That may be an old wives tale but it has a ring to it we can all understand.
@@richardflagg3084 yep
please tell me where I can buy that vice!
Scott Kunz made it. He has a youtube channel and has a video about them with his contact info. I don't know if he's still making them or not.
Landscapers supply SUCKS on the parts counter, no matter which store you go too
You got that rite!!!!!!
