My brother past away at the age of 14 in 2014 and I was only 7 at the time. He was diagnosed with stage 4 leukemia (brain cancer) and the doctors couldn't fix it because it regrew after they took it out. I didn't know what was going on or what was happening. I had mixed emotions I was happy because we never got along but I was also confused but I also had much more emotions. My head was spinning but at that time I didn't understand that brain cancer type of stuff or what was going on. Then he passed away at around 4:00 am on Christmas morning of 2014 and all but 2 of us were awake and there were like 15 people/mostly family members in the apartment and I fell asleep at like 1:00 am. Then when I woke up to my surprise he was gone and I also felt those same mixed emotions and I asked my mom, "where's Byron?" she said he was gone. (Yes his name was Byron.) And as I grew older I finally matured and felt sad about him passing away and now I'm 12 and he would've been 20 on October 3rd of this year but at the moment he's 19 "In our hearts" :'(. (Making this and reading it over made me really sad and depressed I hope some people read this and that they give me lots of love and support.) :'(

My dad passed away from lung cancer. He passed on 9-11-17. He lasted about 3 years after getting his cancer. That is a lot longer than me and my mom expected. He was a really great guy. He was funny and he played the keyboard and sang in a country band. I really miss him.

i remember my chubby cat had a massive lump on her belly, i told my mom about it, but she said it was just fat, weeks later, the lump go slightly larger, but my mom still told me it was fat, a few days later i told here she should take our cat to the vet, but she said she would go there, but only to sterilize the cat. about an hour later, she came home in a little bit of a shock. my cat had 2 stitches, and she told me that the massive lump under the cat's belly was cancer this whole time. the vet told us that if that cancer would have stayed for more that a few days, it would be impossible to treat, and the cat would have needed to be put down! so happy we actually pulled that off at the last moment!

One thing that I wish you would have talked about was how bad sugar is for you when it comes to cancer. A friend of mine has cancer, and when they wanted to see where the cancer was in his body, they would give him this syrup drink, mainly consisting of sugar. When he asked "Why am I drinking this?"
They told him that the cancer lights up like a match when sugar enters the body, and because of this effect we can pin point where in the body the cancer is growing because it feeds on sugar. Consuming sugar is basically like jet fuel for cancer.
I am not saying, not eating sugar will cure cancer, but I am saying that it helps a lot to avoid it.
I always admire how often you guys upload animations, I struggle with once a week lol. Keep up the great content :)

not eating sugar will actually cure cancer since cancer cells can't make energy from fat like normal cells can. so make him stop eating carbs and get him in ketosis. he won't die if you do this for him

Actually just google it (I did cancer cells on sugar) and you'll find canadian, uk and us cancer research all agree that it doesnt cause/feed/benefit cancer cells.
      scienceblog.cancerresearchuk.org/2014/03/24/dont-believe-the-hype-10-persistent-cancer-myths-debunked/?Direct#sweet-tooth
But all this doesn’t mean that sugar from cakes, sweets and other sugary foods specifically feeds cancer cells, as opposed to any other type of carbohydrate. Our body doesn’t pick and choose which cells get what fuel. It converts pretty much all the carbs we eat to glucose, fructose and other simple sugars, and they get taken up by tissues when they need energy.
While it’s very sensible to limit sugary foods as part of an overall healthy diet and to avoid putting on weight, that’s a far cry from saying that sugary foods specifically feed cancer cells.
      www.aicr.org/reduce-your-cancer-risk/diet/sugar-and-cancer-risk.html
There is no strong evidence that directly links sugar to increased cancer risk, yet there is an indirect link. But eating a lot of high-sugar foods may mean more calories than you need, which leads to excess weight and body fat. It is excess body fat that increases risk of many common cancers.
      www.cancer.ca/en/prevention-and-screening/reduce-cancer-risk/make-informed-decisions/myths-and-controversies/sugar/?region=on
Over the past few years, there have been reports, e-mails and websites that say eating sugar feeds cancer or that sugar makes cancer grow faster. All cells in your body consume sugar as they grow and divide, but eating sugar does not make cancer cells grow faster.
Every cell in your body requires sugar (glucose) for energy. Your body can also store sugar to use as energy later. Your body needs this sugar to function normally. Because we consume thousands of dietary components every day, it is difficult to understand the links between diet and cancer.
Eating lots of foods that have sugar added means you are more likely to put on weight. Research shows that being overweight or obese increases your risk of cancer. Being obese may cause changes in hormone levels. Changes to sex hormones or insulin might increase the risk of developing breast, colon or uterine cancer.

My aunt had breast cancer and didn't realized it until she went in for a mammogram testing and been sick for a year, so I kinda figured it might be cancer. The results came in and found that she has stage 4 breast cancer and it has affected her basically all over her body, including the eyes that's making her go slowly blind now. Of course she went in for surgeries and chemotherapies, but she's a fighter, and hopefully she can win that battle. If not, then we'll mourn her death.

My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in March and got a Mastectomy in May as well as reconstruction surgery. She had a tough time going through it and at the end found out she'd have to go through chemo treatments every week until Christmas. I had to move away to college for my freshman year so it's tough to not be able to be there for her in person when she's stuck in bed all day for half the week after chemo and then spends the second half working to pay my tuition. Cancer was something that I was educated about but never really pertained to me as directly as it does until now. Now I can definitely empathize better with people in similar situations but staying strong is key. A good mindset helps people fight disease and kick cancer's ass

I watched him die. They took the life support off and kept sedating him so he wouldn’t open his eyes. It took him almost four hours after that to die. The last thing I said to him was (if he could even hear me) “Dad, I love you forever and will never forget about you. I promise I will graduate and find a good job and take care of mom and make everything better.”

Back in 6th grade one of my closest friends was diagnosed with cancer. When I first found out I was really scared but he always seemed calmed and cheerful like he always was. I visited him daily even though I had school to keep up with his status. It was 7th grade and he looked better but one day he just stopped talking to me and I was wondering what happened but I couldn't contact any of his relatives. Some weeks later, I got notified that he had passed away... he was only 12 years old and he deserved better, this event left me heartbroken for a long time. I'm in 10th grade now and I'll always treasure the moments I had with him.

So it's hard to cure 'cancer' because there are so many varied forms of it that need different treatment. But We have made progress on most forms of cancer with lower 5-year mortality rates for most of them compard to 50 years ago.

I'm sorry to tell you this but: you are wrong about something, the term [Cancer] is used to describe the phenomena of a group of cells in your body gaining independence (no more self-regulating death, no more restrictions on self-reproduction) and attacking and/or hoarding all the resources and cells they can get around them.

My father passed away in 2014 from leukemia. Not so much from the disease itself but from A non-fully compatible Donor. His body treated the donor cells like a sickness or a disease and attacked it. He had to take Medicine to counteract that. This would weaken his immune system more and more to the point where it was too much for his body and he passed away.
He was technically cured is the leukemia, But still did not make it out because of all the medicine he had to take. (i’m talking literal handfuls of medicine a day) so it’s not always the cancer that kills them, but the effects of the chemo therapy or the medicine that does The job for it.
(this short paragraph has nothing to do with my father, it’s just something that I find interesting.) Something that a lot of people seem to forget about is that there won’t be a cure all for cancer. You won’t be able to treat skin cancer like you treat breast cancer. They require similar but different treatments, and will most likely not be cured by the same pill.

Of couse there is not profit at all in monopolizing a cure for one of the deadly diseases, which affects extremely rich people as well. Not likely some rich folks would pay dozens or even hundreds of millions just to not die.
We found cure or vaccine for Chicken Pox, Small Pox, Rabies, SARS, Measles, Polio, Yellow Fever, Typhoid Fever, Whooping Cough, Tuberculosis, Tetanus... BUT ONLY CANCER AND AIDS """"THEY"""" chose to not cure. Impossible that these diseases are just harder to find a cure, no ?
You have to be extremely dumb to believe in a global conspiracy against curing cancer, when the first company that found it would probably become the richest pharmaceutical company in the world.
Also there a lot of researchers working not for money, but for human benefit. Where do they fit here ? And all the state-owned or non-profit laboratories ? University Labs ? Are they working in this conspiracy too ?
This is just as dumb as flat earth.
