Lowrance makes great units, the 9” is the smallest I would recommend.

What's the difference between 4k inland lakes vs CMAP? And will the one with 4k inland lakes show depth changes on the lake?

Nice overview. What type of micro SD cards slots do these units use? I know the Hook 2 units have a SD slot where you have to push to insert and pull to remove. I much prefer the type where you push to insert and push again to remove and then the card is released and pops out with a spring loaded mechanism. I have difficulty removing my SD card from my Hook 2 unit without using a small needle nose pliers.
These are the same as the Hook2. I agree it's a pain to get them out. The whole point of the Hook2 was to give you a good unit at a really cheap price so they left a lot of those little features out to keep costs down

I've had Lowrance on most of my boats . Great quality products. A Hook Reveal would go well on the new 18 ft G3 Angler series boat I will be picking up this coming spring.

I’m trying mg to get my buddy to go with the hook 9 over the helix 7. Is there a program for the hook series to integrate with a minn kota trolling motor? I have an hds series with an i5 motorguide. I love that.
No you can use the Hook Reveal with any trolling motor for the GPS functions
Do these come in with built in lake maps? Is there depths on the chart? Didnt notice it on the demo and is there lake master chip capability?
Some models have built in maps. Most that come with built in are CMAP. These will not work with Lakemaster charts

@teddymello68 My finally working out SD card. What I did is go in there to set up program just you set new Smart TV. After you set it up the way you want.. it’s start working. Hopefully this helps?
