Ryan, you're the best! Great customer service! I just purchased a Lowrance Hook2 9" TripleShot and just so happened to watch this video out of curiosity. I was very surprised after opening the Lowrance Hook2 box and seeing the length of the TripleShot transducer. I had ordered the RTL 4000 from Ryan. I knew it would take a while to get here, especially transferring from Canadian Post, clearing customs and then USPS. I was pleasantly pleased when the RTL 4000 arrived, how well it was packaged for shipping. When I first looked at the RTL 4000, I thought, this is gonna be a pain to install. Besides, the holes from the old Lowrance transducer and the new Lowrance TripleShot transducer are a match. Maybe I'll just wait until it breaks and then install the RTL 4000. Used the new Lowrance transducer bracket for the TripleShot and did a test fit. OMG! Did I say wobbly? No wonder these things are reported to break so easily. Take your time and install the RTL 4000 correctly. Myself? I'm pretty lazy, I do it right the first time. Great unit, nice eye appeal, secure.

My boat is brand new, the Lowrance is brand new, but their design is SO weak. That transducer is just waiting to get broken and I don't want to be out on the water and deal with that frustration. I completely understand the $100 price point of your product. I appreciate you making this product available to the public.
Would anyone recommend this bracket install to the side mount on my trolling motor. This transducer is to large to mount on the bottom of my Minn Kota with the bottom skeg in the way

Before i click the buy button is the bracket the same height as factory, as my transducer is mounted on a horizontal surface and i can't see any means to adjust if there any difference. would it maybe be a good idea to slot the 3/8 hole with some added etched marks to allow for levelling and height adjustment in future designs for horizontal mountings?
My RTL4500 allows you to put a triple shot on one of my RTL1000 3in1 mounts. Allows you to upgrade in the future without needing to invest or even take off the RTL1000

Just got my first boat & looking for a first fish finder. Don't know anything about fish finders.. Saw the 7x with tripleshot and the problems with the x-ducer breaking which led me to your fix. You say in the video about "in the future swapping it for a 3 in 1", this confused me. The Lowrance website calls the tripleshot a 3 in 1 (SKU: 000-14029-001). So not sure if yours is for an older model? Also have a question about shipping to the US (Ohio). Is that going pretty smoothly? Do you know if customs taxes or other fees are being charged? Thank you.
If you were to use my RTL4500 auxilary mount (another video here on my CZcams page) you can swap the Tripleshot in the future out for a 3in1 or any of the other Lowrance structure scan mounts simply by un bolting the 6 bolts and quickly swapping it out! As far as shipping goes...super easy and main free. Goes Canada Post/USPS. I have never had a customer tell me they were charged customs or extra taxes and I ship a lot to the USA
Hello Ryan with my boat I do not have my hook to unit permanently mounted when I go to a marina I always disassemble and take my unit off. The problem is I contacted Lowrance five or six times about the transducer plug not wanting to come out of the unit. This last vacation we was done with our vacation we was getting the boat ready to tow it trailer at home and that transducer plug would not come out of the unit, it finally gave part of the plug stayed in the unit. I’ve asked Lowrance many times if this was repairable and they say I have to buy a new transducer.I also questioned them about this problem being had by other Lowrance owners, and never got an answer back. Have you ever heard of this problem and do you know anybody that can repair this plug thank you.
Unfortunately I don't. I am a firm believer that unplugging your graphs does more harm than good. A little de-electric grease in the future may help the constant taking it on and off though.
Like the bracket mate...wasn't aware my tripleshot was likely to break! Where's the link? Do you post to Australia and how much would the postage be? Thanks.

Most go with the Canada Post Small Packet International Air for around $60. 5-11days delivery time but no tracking or insurance. Have never had an issue with one not getting there and I have shipped a lot that way for guys.
With quality comes the expense...the purchase of the Tripleshot RTL4000 is still less than half the price of a new transducer which in the end will probably just break again due to the design of the weak area. Many put the mount on just to prevent breakage in the future and get the benefit of superior tuning as a bonus!

sorry for only seeing this now. on a more expensive transducers i would try to splice it. One one of these I would probably just buy a new one.

i have the hook reveal 9 triple shot, i cant the sonar to work, says stopped. ive tried all the transducer settings, makes no difference, frustrating!
