I heard a lot of Me Me Me! Gospel music is not for self glorifying but for the Glory of God. I understand the technicality of music in general but let’s not forget the kingdom we represent.

That’s technically not true 100% if I’m understanding you correctly. Gospel music is meant to reach the lost and to preach the gospel. But outside of that what music are you supposed to listen to when you want to have a family reunion or birthday party??? Is it supposed to be hymns and spirituals??? If gospel artists can’t entertain also then are you saying to listen to the secular artist to play music at your teenagers birthday party??? Let’s really dissect what we are saying when we talk about gospel music. Why would you want to leave entertainment to those who don’t know Christ??? Gospel music is also about bringing people together and making them forget about their issues so that they can focus on God also
Y’all just need to let the Holy Spirit touch you! And get into the precious presents of god 💕 and if god is telling you to tell your testimony then you say it! You should think oh well I might touch someone with my testimony but I don’t wanna bore the audience so I’d rather not say it. Smh that is so wrong if you want to sing in a church then just let the Holy Spirit take control and move the way he wants to move 🙌
I agree with you if you are not trying to sell a single or an album. Church is for church but a gospel artist which means you are aiming to sell material must understand certain principles to engage their audience to purchase their material. I would agree with you entirely if some church folk supported artist and new artist but they don’t. They feel as though you are supposed to bring your gifts for free and they never buy your product but they expect for the artistry to continue. I always ask someone that is contrary to what I suggest, how many gospel artist have you purchased and supported in the last month??? The answer is normally less than 2. So I submit that before we criticize, we start to support first. Just a general message to all.

It’s a testimony! You don’t need to know the person in order for you to give your testimony! Personally I like when the concerts go after the time limit. And yea you done did that like 6 7 times but we never get tired of praising the lord 🙌

This is def for me I am new to music. I always get told by teachers that I need to work getting into tune with the songs since I get uncertain about which Pitch to hit since there many notes on the vocal line I not sure how to practice it or what others do get hang of it right away.

Another thing that every Christian worshipper has to have, is the lifestyle of prayer. Wait for the power. Anointing is very important. When you walk in that altar of worship, you carry an atmosphere. Many ministers of gospel are very dry. Just because they know how to produce their voice well and sweet angelic voices, doesn't mean you should not seek the LORD. One should pray, pray, pray. Spend time with the LORD. Personal Devotion.

Most of you criticising this are hypocrites. A lot of gospel artist like to imitate each other and fake to be filled with the Holy Spirit and do a lot of unnecessary things on the altar or stage that doesn't even impact into anybody's life. Just learn what you can from his tips and do the needful and stop criticising. Yes as a born again gospel artist you should allow the Holy Spirit lead you as you minister your song and when you do people will feel it, and the impact will be obvious. But a lot of you gospel artist / choristers fake it and you're getting defensive with criticism because his speaking the truth. If you're smart and reasonable you'll truly understand what he's talking about and learn. Religious psychopaths everywhere.

About the third tip, I understood that but if you stop someone on the street and then you start speaking about your life that's for sure weird but if you're going to perform the audience is there for the event so, in this case people could understand if you start saying your name and thanks to be here at least.... This is not a spiritual post. You should understand that a gospel artist means that you are an entertainer in the gospel music industry. That’s who I am speaking to. If you get into the art of Gospel music, contracts, money, selling and streaming music then there are principles you must understand in order to increase record sales. This post is not for the singer that wants to just sing for the glory of God. There is a big difference. I believe the sanctuary is to be sacred, but if you are aiming for big stages then these are principles for that.

Jesus ALWAYS got your attention first before he ministered in the Bible. Just read it…. He spit in someone’s eyes, drew in the sand and more…. You most remove attention from the flesh first in order to feed the spirit…. That’s why Jesus fed the multitude before he taught….. see, it’s more than just shoving scripture down peoples throats but in order to stand in front of Gods people you MUST know how to approach them. How about we look at CONTEXT OF THE EXAMPLES YOU USED FROM SCRIPTURE?
If you are going to reference scripture, stay on point... YOUR VIDEO IS ABOUT WORSHIP LEADING , YOUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVE WAS TO HELP WORSHIP LEADERS.. So how about referencing music / worship scriptures and give evidence for YOUR PERSONALITY DRIVEN POINTS?
Are you now saying that your music / worship leading methods are a more powerful evangelistic tool than the preaching of THE GOSPEL?
ACTUALLY MY POINT WAS A MUCH BIGGER POINT THAN YOU MADE.
Don't use unbiblical means ( out of context examples ) to prove your erroneous methods.
Our primary reason for worship is to give God what he so rightfully deserves!
Evangelism is secondary though important!
THE GLORY OF GOD IS PRIMARY, whether a soul is won or not.
If souls are being won through worship great!
BUT NEVER JUSTIFY YOUR ACTIONS BY USING BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OUT OF CONTEXT.
Oh yes, I can also give you examples from the Bible where NO MUSIC WAS USED AT ALL AND MANY WAS SAVED.
WHICH IS CLEAR FROM SCRIPTURE.
God gets people's attention to pay attention to Himself.

@@MrLeejunfan I guess my point is…. You can’t judge what peoples methods are and how God leads them to bring people into fellowship with him. Nothing I said was out of context with the word of God. And if you are engaging with me here then I must have done my job. The bottom line is someone that didn’t know about Christ before watching my video now does. And NO One can argue that point. This video is HORRIBLE it's not about being popular or being love by the audience it's all about glorifying the Lord, they should stop calling it gospel if it's for making money and manipulating and convincing people to love them 😠
Jana Ali I appreciate your opinion. But that’s exactly what I’m getting at. The church is for worship and it is supposed to be sacred. But let me ask you a question. If all saved artist are only supposed to sing worship and praise music, then who are true Christians supposed listen to and watch for clean entertainment? I believe ministers should minister the gospel and gospel artist should be able to sing clean family music no matter what it is for Christian entertaining purposes. If they can’t do that then you can’t argue as far as Christians listening to secular artist

@Jana Ali I dont think that's what he was saying . The way i perceived it was , don't come out trying to be the hype man and doing all of these extra theatrics to move the crowd. Instead be yourself , when God is using you and the song is a testimony or even something that you are going through currently, the spirit will move the crowd through you. The crowd doesn't respond to how well you speak or sing, they respond to the emotion and the anointing behind what you speak or sing. In other words , just be led by God and let the anointing flow naturally.

Doesn’t matter if they don’t you… the Goal is to Entire “the church” into the throne room… I should never be about you!!! Gospel music is only supposed to about God … led by thw Holy Spirit… this video was not helpful unless your a worldly singer all about self glorification! Gospel music is to share the Goodnews and praise the most High God! Not yourself!!!
