His reaction to the Master Sword was great. If you think about it, Fi has technically been with him since BOTW. You can actually hear her in the final memory cutscene.

When you send the sword to the past Fi talks to both Link and Zelda. You don't see or hear her but her sound plays for both of them

You have no idea how excited I was when I read the title of this video! The origin of the Master Sword was literally one of my all time favourite things from this game! We literally made the blade of evil's bane! Strengthened and forged it through fire ourselves! It was MY blade in a way that I never really felt it was before and I adore Skyward Sword for that experience. Even more so since Fi, the spirit of the sword, was Link's first ever companion in his quests and journey's. It can't get any better than that

@@RetroCheats well it is called the goddess blade at first which must mean that it was created by hylia with master ore back when she was still a goddess and it. and master ore is something that was introduced in a link between worlds.

DeeBee is very lucky to have gone into this game COMPLETELY blind. Even the promotional material of the time talked about this game showing the origins of the Master Sword, so I knew that, unless they changed blades on us mid-game (like in Ocarina of Time), the sword you pick at the beginning of the game was an unrefined Master Sword. The grooves on the hilt match and everything.
Ghirahim is one of my favorite LoZ enemies. I love the way he's designed and he's so creepy but entertaining.
But seriously, seeing your reaction to the master sword reveal is probably my favorite moment if your play through
Whether we are waking up in the morning, getting home from a hard days work, or even laying down in our beds at night, Dee is always there to entertain us and help ease our minds!
I'm totally biased but this game has my favourite "version" of the Master Sword. Because you don't just obtain it, you literally create it using the sword made by the goddess Hylia and forging it with the essence of the three golden goddesses bevor finishing it with Hylias blessing.
You always have to prove yourself as the hero one way or another but this one makes you feel more worthy than all of them.
Besides that i also think this is the most beautiful the Blade of Evils Bane has ever appeared. 💜
This was the dungeon I remember liking the least but watching you play through it made me realize its actually a pretty well designed dungeon! Plus that reveal!!!

I’ve always love Skyward Sword from seeing the origins of how everything all started. Although the sensor in the switch is small compared to the Wii, this is still a joy to play and even more when seeing Dee enjoying this master piece.
Basically Fi was with us in every games the master sword was in (she’s the voice Zelda heard in BOWT)

It's fun how Dee actually likes the motion controls of Skyward Sword when his first Zelda game was Breath of the Wild.
All those incessant whiners about the motion controls look silly when one of the NEW Zelda fans actually likes Skyward Sword BECAUSE of its motion controls. You really see his enjoyment in this 2nd Ghirahim fight. He's so into it!
I was waiting to see how he would view them after playing button-press controls on the other Zeldas.
Skyward Sword was ALWAYS great & it's satisfying to see someone from the NEW era of Zelda, a BOTW player, validate & verify Skyward Sword's greatness. DeeBeeGeek was right. Motion controls DO make the game more immersive.
Out of all companions, Fi is personally my favorite. simply because in all your adventures, every single one of them she has been with you as a personification of the master sword. so she has seen the fight and effort of every single link out there

Dee, don't feel embarrassed. That water fruit puzzle, where you have to figure out you have to stab and fling it, took me forever to figure out. And I'd like to think I'm a veteran at Zelda puzzles.

That's the moment I've been waiting the entire playthrough for. Then you realize Fi's clothing/color scheme has been for the Master Sword the entire time that you've been unknowingly forging it.

Forging the Master Sword yourself was such an incredible experience in Skyward Sword. It makes obtaining it in any other game more emotional knowing the truth!

If you didn't know the direction the red darts show up in is the way you are supposed to slash them when fighting girahim. So when they encircle you you do a horizontal spin slash.
Of course he doesn't know. He never bothered to figure out how the sword actually works. Why should he when the game doesn't punish you for flailing like a fish out of water? There's, literally, no point to putting any brain power into this game with a system like that. Hell, he doesn't use the sword unless he absolutely has to.

Getting back street boys vibes lol. Every time you said “I don’t know who you are or where you’re from”, I kept thinking “as long as you love me”
I remember vividly, the sheer shock and awe I felt as the Goddess Sword transformed into the master sword. That moment will always be one of my favorites in the series, but I played Wind Waker before, so I knew my quest wasn’t done yet. The Master Sword still had some growing to do.
I love the master sword awakening in this game you feel unstoppable once you get it!
See, DeeBeeGeek had an inkling that what he saw inside the Statue of the Goddess at the beginning of the game would have something to do with the Master Sword. I could FEEL his excitement within his suspicion. But he just didn't know HOW.
Goddess Hylia's Sword, the Goddess Sword touches the Sacred Flames of her "sisters" Farore, Nayru, & Din.
The Goddess Sword touches the Flame of Farore, Goddess of Courage, Wind, & Life, to become the Goddess Longsword.
The Goddess Longsword touches the Flame of Nayru, Goddess of Wisdom, Water, & Sky to become the Goddess White Sword.
The Goddess White Sword touches the Flame of Din, Goddess of Power, Fire & Earth to become the MASTER SWORD.
What will now happen when Link takes this Master Sword to his girlfriend who bathes in divine light?
It was all in Hylia's Master Plan. The Goddess Sword's spirit, Fi, called Link "MASTER" when he took up the blade.
Hylia now had her Agent to tilt the balance in the stalemate against the Demon King, the Bringer of Demise.
No longer will it be a 1 on 1 battle but a 2 on 1 battle using the lowest born, a weak Human, to be the Paragon that wins.
Hylia would transfer ownership of her Sword to one who would MASTER its use.
Fi would NEVER let ANYONE ELSE put hands on her MASTER'S Sword ever again. Only Hylia's Agent, the Hero.

I'll just say what lots of people are saying but worded differently: I hope Dee re-watches the memories in BoTW and tries to "throw" The Master Sword while at full health (also in BotW), not necessary to do before ToTK but it does really make one appreciate Skyward Sword more.
Hint: The memories I'm talking about are all of which have to do with The Master Sword (either be mentioned or directly interacted with)

Those tend to happen at the very end of the streams and he doesn't always say that much,
usually due to being exhausted or a lack of time, that's why you don't always see them.
