Great commentary. Whenever I take my FDR and I see an Essex I lose all hope. But you provided some helpful tactics. FDR isn't an easy ship to play sometimes...
Nakimov player here, How much did it took u to get enough steel for the FDR? Im trying to do rankeds and sometimes buy 1 or 3 stages of the dockyard to reach as much steel as I can.
How else can I get steel?
I really like the FDR but idk if I should use the steel for the FDR or the Lauria or another ship, any recomendations?
Steel takes some time around 4 - 6 months with clan and ranked battles grinding. I will try to make a video on it for better analysis. Bourgogne should be your first pick since it is probably the best steel battleship out of all, followed by mecklenburg and lauria. Incomp is strong but requires to have alot of experience playing battleships. FDR is a beast of a CV, but its requires alot of understanding of CV mechanics in general and also you need to master it alot to get the best potential out of this ship. Nakhimov is alot easier to play than FDR simply because it requires only one strike run to deliver on ships while FDR is like a flying castle that drops and wait for 25 secs to do the monstrous drop again and again, while also realizing that the DEF AA flaks are brutal and give instant heavy losses if you take on while Nakhi dont care much about def aa.
@@uravgwargamer3300 Ty, I havent obtained a stel ship coz I always end up using steel plus coal to buy stuff... i just cant help it.
A guide about steel ships could help a lot about wich one to choose as the first steel ship.

Almost 300 battles, to really get the best results.
Imagine playing a game in a cheat mode, ruining it for everybode else, and then brag about it on YT ..
You should ask WG about this cheat. The players are not to be blamed, those were not balancing them, rather playing the unbalanced product of WG itself.
Im sorry but any Essex player who does not take "Interceptor" is not a "very good" player.
Essex planes dont spot anyway, taking Interceptor is a straight up upgrade, with this enemy fighters cannot attack Essex fighters,
Essex fighters dominate everywhere you put them and they attack fast enough that if the enemy squadron is at the center of the circle when you put the fighters down they will always tag.
No squadron can escape Essex fighters with Patrol + Interceptor, not even full boost JPN fighters.
Therefore not taking these 2 talents simply shows this Essex player is clueless, sorry.
If he had Interceptor, your entire torpedo squadron at the start of the game would have either been toast you had to be recalled.
CV is like the only class in this game that actually takes skill and there is a HUGE gap between the average CV player and a good one, as showcased in this video...
All this guy had to do, is smoke himself up, you can smoke even when you are stationary if u press it immediatly,
Fighter build + smoking himself = all your attacks would have been pointless.
Im sorry but this essex player is a beginner at best.
Putting aside Essex vs. FDR, Essex has to be nerfed since her spec is super crazy. I've been seeing many poor winrate 40's players were easily devastate the enemy team just because not of the player's skill but of her overwhelming power. Huge area of intercepter and quickly catching squadrons, easy bombing that even poor players can successfully hit on destroyers... Further providing smokes over his division mates, the super powerfull combo can trick the enemy team. Disgusting. If it's acceptable, at least the old rocket fighter should be taken back to the FDR.
Sums up exactly, what I think about Essex.
