Looks good! Thank you for this video! I have one of these, molded in orange. As I get older, I prefer car models that are molded in color. I did read an article about painting car bodies and, with that method the body looks like it was molded in color. I don't enjoy painting the body because I have a hard time getting it to look right, but I enjoy painting the rest of the car. I would love to have one of these molded in each factory color, but we'll see if I can find them. I would gladly build a 1/32 scale car, if it was molded in color.
8:53 - Dry-brushing the tire lettering with white acrylic should work well. If you don't like the look just rinse the paint off and start again. I know modelers who use white fingernail polish. Acrylics work the best for me. Everyone has their own way of doing things and that keeps it interesting.
Great Lookin' Kit And Build John! I'm a Cougar Fan Myself! I've got a Really Special one i'm gonna' be showing soon in a New Segment that I call "My Dedication Builds". I Think Your Gonna' Really Enjoy This! Stay Tuned My Friend! 🤓👍
Your Cougar turned out great! Nice color. How did you do the white letter tires? At this point I found you used a good gel pen start in the middle of a letter with no pressure then move out reck way works the best for me. I use a tooth pick for cleanup. Thanks for the video 😎👍
Competition blue is the name (same color as the Mustang "Grabber blue", actually the hood scoop should be same color as the body for -69, 1970 have black hood scoop. But anyway nice done.
Check the hood stripe decals... Mine has a different engine size (428 or 429 if my memory is right) it should say 302. Maybe yours is correct for the Boss 302
@@kingranch1962 my kit came from Walmart many years ago. When they were like $5. I had a few kits during that time that had issues. I'm thinking mine came with the wrong decals meant for a different issue of that kit.

I sprayed a light coat of paint on a flat surface and lightly placed the tire on the paint. I also used a tooth pick to clean it up.

Sorry, I looked and I used rust-o-Lium primer.
I used tamiya spray can on the body, brilliant blue
