TALLINK MEGASTAR FERRY - TALLINN TO HELSINKI - Is Upgrading Worth It? (2023/2024) (4K)

Tallink Megastar from Tallinn to Helsinki, is upgrading to the Business Lounge worth it?
YES!!!
Having travelled from Helsinki to Tallinn earlier in the week on the Megastar in Star Class (regular fare) I though it would be interesting to travel back in either Comfort Lounge or Business Lounge.
A few days before the trip an email was received with an exclusive offer to upgrade into one of the premium lounges, this was also reflected on the App.
Normally the Comfort Lounge was an additional +29€ now offered for +20€ & the Business Lounge normally was an additional +69€ and it was offered for +47€.
Now given you are on the Ferry for less than 3hrs (inc Boarding and disembarking) normally I would not worry about it, but I am glad I took the Business Lounge upgrade offer.
You have access to a dedicated lounge area before boarding at Terminal D, with snacks, drinks, coffee, tea etc, plus bathrooms reserved for that area and plenty of comfortable seating. Access is by scanning your ticket barcode. You are also first to board the ship.
Upon boarding, the Business Lounge is right there, a host will check your ticket (they have a passenger list on hand as well) and you are welcomed into the lounge.
There is plenty of seating, in every type of seat you can imagine, recliners, full lounge/sofas, work desks, dining tables, etc. The prime spots are the chairs with ottoman's along the Bow windows (that is another thing, only the 2 lounges, and the Delight Buffet have Bow window access).
The variety of food was extensive, given I was on a morning sailing, most food options were targeted at Breakfast & Brunch. Loads of Hot & Cold options, lots of fresh Seafood (including Shrimp & Smoked Salmon). A comprehensive range of Wines, Spirits, Beers were available, plus Soda Drinks, Water, Coffee, Tea and more.
I would think travelling at Lunch or Dinner time, in conjunction with a few cocktails, you will easily get your moneys worth, and some.
Next time I do the Tallink Ferry crossing I will try the Comfort Lounge next door, and I certainly will travel in the Business Lounge again, it was well worth it.
