everyone throwing a strop over it being pink, shut up, it looks great in it. Yall would die if you saw one of the rainbow trains we have here in the uk.
Just thought id say it... the brits did it 60 years ago so im not sure about the 'worlds first' but on the other hand our one is tiny compared to the wabtec
@@allangibson8494 Deisel locomotives have been doing for the past 50+ years... Battery locomotives are a trend like electric cars. They aren't sustainable, they are prone to thermal runaways, and they a far from recyclable. The craze for electric vehicles is because of energy density, diesels can do all of that and generate their own electricity plus they are more economical and can be recycled. Plus most are equipped with dynamic braking. But overhead and cantinary wires like the Milwaukee Road are economical for electric rail equipment.
It won’t be charged externally at all - it charges by running the 400km down hill from the mine with 3000 tonnes of ore and then uses that to haul the empty cars back uphill to the mine.
Thank you for the pink locomotive I am a breast cancer survivor
Tickled Pink, like the Thomas episode with pink James XP

Mary Kay Locomotive? Battery? Will it sink into the yard ballast with it's weight?
Fort Worth can build it in half the time.
How fast it will catch fire.
Let's decorate it in bra's
Scrap it and build a real locomotive.
This locomotive needs another rebuild... diesel conversion@@MilwaukeeF40C
This locomotive will be initially used for dynamic braking and energy recovery on iron ore trains. A job a diesel simply can’t do.
