This is awesome, would love to see a series of videos on different movements / machines by body part. There’s a lot of broscience out there but having data (even if it’s imperfect) to back up why X movement may be better than Y would be great.

Incorporating your workouts into my routines has made me absolutely GROWWWWW
Wow! Talk about cutting to the chase! This is incredible information to get the best workout possible. Thanks Eric!!
You bet!
Definitely do more of these
This is really cool. So many workouts to do this for.
Great stuff Eric! Yes, please keep making these videos! Huge fan of your channel!💪😃
Brilliant video. Very informative. I will definitely be focusing more on the wide grip bar at the bend. Though I will use lots of other bars and grips too. Thanks again.
I appreciate your time and commitment. Thank you kindly.
My pleasure!
this is awesome! Ryan humiston did something similar and I loved all the information for workouts. cheers mate, looking forward to seeing more results.
This was great :) Thanks for the insights
Eric, thanks for explaining things in depth!
Happy to help!
Thanks I really liked the variation of grips you tried as well as the discipline you showed in how you carried out the lifts.
Glad it was helpful!
What a sick video, more plz!
Awesome video. Great info as always.
Glad you enjoyed it
Pozele Gym Video Eric
Awesome video. I can really see the value of using all the grips on the wide grip bar and creating a mechanical dropset. Take advantage of hitting the entire lat
THIS IS AWESOME!!!
Well done Sir.
Glad you like it!
Love this video and the concept. Short and sweet, gave us all the information we wanted without wasting our time.
Fairly eye opening as I’ve always felt the very wide grip lat pull down was supposed to be superior to the slightly closer grip lat pull down. I as well have always felt more contraction with the slightly closer grip lat pull down.
Yeah everyone has different limb length and ergonomics. Usually the one that feels the best is the one you should go for.
very interesting, keep it up !
Yeah really enjoyed that, will you please do other body parts thanks very interesting 👍👍👍
That was cool to see
Excellent video. I feel like I am part of an study group. Grips and widths are hard to progress overload as you are dealing with so many options.
Thank you, as I'm about to train back today, I was for months thinking about what lat pulldown to focus, and I focused alot on the v bar lat pulldown in the past, and my upper lats are lacking in comparison to the rest of my back..
Yiiiiir bud
More science based testning. Great in depth work. 💪 I like to maximize My workouts so for us "normal" people it means alot to get the most possible out of each session.
Amazing video as always! We need to see this on every exercise for every muscle group lol. Especially for CALVES. 😁
Definitely!!
I agree with the 1st and 3rd 🎉
Great format, keep these coming please 🙏
More to come!
Great video, the test has been designed very well to eliminate any factors that could distort the results. The only thing I think you could have tested as well are individual handles for each arm, just to see how they fare against the bar ones. Still, an excellent video!
Please make another video for wide shoulder❤️
Confirms what everyone's doing already
I really like this content I wish you would’ve done the single alarm behind the bench when you get that super stretch but thanks for this great information
Next time!
Please test quads and hamstrings next!!
Awesome info, out of curiosity I would like to see the results of a one arm pulldown with a d handle as a lot of people seem to do them .
More More More EMG videos Please!
Wow I’m shocked at number 2 being the wide wide grip lat pull down. This exercise has always been slaughtered over the years. I use it all the time and loved it. Great video mate, thanks. Looking forward to more
Thank you! More to come!!
This was truly exceptional content Eric. I just may have to find someone in the Miami area and get this testing done. I"ll get one of my sons and my lone son-sin-law to do it with me and maybe we can geta better fee that way
Can you do one for different pull up grips?
thanks!
Welcome!
Weird, I went to a gym that had a the yixuan v grip and loved it because you can really feel it on the stretch so I ordered one yesterday BEFORE I watched this video because the gym's I go to now don't have it and I wanted one and I already had gravitated to the bend in the bar for wide grip pulldowns because that's where it felt best. And then I watched your video 😆 Validation thanks Eric!
Wish you would’ve done the neutral mad grip
Nice and insightful video. Can you do one for chest?👍👍
Yes, soon
Very interesting
F yea, Cobra Grips! I have those as well!
Have you used the hoist lat pulldown that likes moves as you come down?
Did you do all of these movements in the same workout? Anecdotally i agree with what your data your produced and this is a great video; but would love to see a larger sample size and further isolation of variables. Your ranking is almost inverse of the order in which you performed the movements which raises questions; imo. Great stuff regardless.
do you think you were equally focused when doing all of them. If I'd wanna manipulate results willingly I could make the worst exercise the best and the other way around. That'sjust why I think it matters a lot . So would you say your focus faded or you could do all of them kind of in the same manner?
Song at the start of the video?
Thanks a lot for your great work about promoting hypertrophy training.
I am now 53 years old, female and since 30 years bodybuilder. I had with classic training 85kg body weight by 10% body fat but with a lot of pain and injuries and less body flexebility.
The taste of hypertrophy training helped me to train hard, hold high body weight with low body fat (76 kg with 15% fat), extreme flexebility and best, without injuries and pain!
Thanks a lot. It is so awesome and changed my life.
Sorry for my terrible english. I am German with little english experience.

Eric 👍 💪⚡️💪🤩❤️
Just wondering if the order of the different grips has an effect on the data. Maybe it would be wise to double check before you post more videos based on the technology to ensure that your findings are correct.
You are so 🔥
Would have loved to have pull-ups in there
Respect România Eric
i'll take it that was only part one of the new science series... let us know if u need test supjects...🧐
Doesn't these finding actually go against a recent video published by RP where Dr.Mike mentions there's no big deal in hand placement and that elbow placement is the most important factor?
The 2 grips that you left out which i feel like really broke the comparison for me, were the mid width pronated grip INSIDE of the lat bar bend (which is what Mike Israetel and others have recommended) and also the mid width Mag bar with the neutral grip. I think because of some of the grips you chose to compare instead of these, the test was flawed. You did everything except what has been argued as the best 2 grips of the entire lot, besides the classic Lat bar grip and V bar. So close but no cigar with doubts lingering.
Noel Deyzel said not to use grips or straps when lifting to grow forearms. Is that true?
From my understanding squeezing something like weights or a pull-up bar is an isometric only mode of training and generally muscle growth is better served by exercises with a concentric and eccentric component (isometric is the least growth promoting) so dedicated forearm training (wrist curls, roller etc.) makes more sense to me.
Is amazing how big is ur chest bro
EMG does a bad job at sensing stimulus in the stretched position from what I hear.
Hi boss ❤️
👋
Yo pookie bear
Only Fans?🔥
Look ima have to ask you and all influencers to please stop making lat pull-down videos because the machines are backed up enough as it is, let alone with the deluge of newbs coming after this video...
Just wondering if you could tell them as a psa if they are sitting on the bench on their phone during their rest not lifting for a loooong time that they are eligible for a slap on the back of the neck
*note if they ask people if they want to hop in between sets they'll be exempt
Sheeeeeesh!
If u ever need help correcting your form, reach out. Ur form is holding u back
The amount of misinformation and use of ‘buzz words’ to sound smart is crazy.
What its like to be natty and make such a gaines
Watching the people in the background an majority of them are doing completely nonsensical movements an bad form. Do you have anything to market your programs to these people?
Triceps please
