      Well of course there some mods out there to do to the ISF but not as plentiful as other brands like Nissan, infinity, Subaru, Chevy, etc. thats the point I was trying to get at. For the ISF theres really 2 maybe 3 brands per area that offer mods. RRracing/Figs for suspension components even tho rr does offer various things, Xforce/Joe-z/circuit works for exhaust that are still around but Joe z not so much, PPE/Novel/sikky for headers with their minor differences, Toms/Alpha/wald/c-west for body kits but I wouldn't touch a wide body kit on the ISF I haven't seen any that look good in my opinion, Vland/HC for headlight and taillights, for intakes theres a couple but mainly rr/hps, and for tune here in the states its just rr/loi which both have their dedicated fan bases, but yes there are some companies and mods to be done but theres a certain point to where 1) every ISF starts to look/sound the same which me personally I would like to stand out from the rest and 2) when you look at the vast majority of other car manufacturers and what aftermarket mods they have at their disposal, it makes the F platform look minuscule in comparison.

      your 100% right about that, lexus in general doesn't have whole lot of aftermarket market for lexus in general, up side where I'm at there aren't a lot of people lexus's/ lexie and even less Fs.

    I dont have any of your problems with my IS F. I dont mess with my bumpers and they have never given me any problems. I dont think the IS Fs bumpers were meant to be taken off very much. And you should have realized the size of the ISfs trunk before you bought one if it was going to be too small for your needs. I'm 6 foot one and I never felt cramped in my IS F. I also love the IS Fs seats. They are very comfortable and supportive. Everyone who has ever driven my car loves my seats. And I would suggest just keeping the rims that came with your car since they are a really good quality rim and made just for your car. It seems like everything that you are complaining about could have been avoided if you took the time to do your homework first.

    • @FFamilyLB
      @FFamilyLB  Před 5 měsíci +1

      If you don’t have any of the problems I have with mine then you’re lucky you got a good one, not all Fs are going to be be perfect but I haven’t taken my bumper off at all and I’ve had the bumper tabs wear and crack on me, it’s a notorious issue, a quick google search and reading on some forums you can see 100s if not 1000s of F owners who have had the same issue and the best way to fix it is to buy a new bumper entirely, and I’m just goanna preface by saying all the “negatives” in the video that I mentioned, is just me nitpicking at the F, things that I would’ve tried to change or made better in my opinion if I was in the development room when drawing up the F, but again to each their own, I’m 5’10 230, I’m not a small guy by any means, I have some width to me so the seat bolstering on bottom is just a little too small for me, I love the seats tho, very sporty but if I can I would swap them out for GSF/RCF/3IS F sport, seats because those are technically upgraded F seats which would be an improvement, and yea the wheels are a cool OEM+ plus upgrade, but I do want more width on an aftermarket set so I can throw on a wider tire, I’ve done my homework before buy my F, again like I said earlier it’s not thing that’s a dealbreaker about my F, it’s just things that if I had the ability to change I could, luckily since it is my F I can change it up however I’d like, for example if you want to keep yours stock then all the power to you, just me personally like I’ve stated in the video I want my car to stand out from others and not be a cookie cutter, I like being my own person, if some people don’t then they don’t and that’s fine too, and if I came off as complaining that’s kinda what the purpose of the video was lol

      @FFamilyLB  Před 5 měsíci +4

      Oh definitely, if you’re a Lexus enthusiast and or can come to terms that the F isn’t a slouch but isn’t the fastest car on the road, it’s the best car to have, making 4-450 wheel hp and can hit 400k on the odometer making that power, plus it’s a cool factory of no one knows about it really because of its rarity, I love my car all around, the things I hate about is just me nitpicking what I wish could’ve been executed better

    is the grom vline just for android? if it is, is there another alternative for apple carplay?

    • @FFamilyLB
      @FFamilyLB  Před 5 měsíci

      So the V line itself uses an android software/interface, but once you plug in your phone, it will recognize if it’s Apple or android and it will give you that version of CarPlay that your phone is, it’s automatic detection, and 100% functionality with the car, me personally this is the best option to get CarPlay into our F

      @@FFamilyLB since the screen on the F is old will the apple carplay and map and stuff be like slow, or have any bugs?

    • @FFamilyLB
      @FFamilyLB  Před 5 měsíci +1

      No, there’s no lag at all as soon as you tap the screen it responds and as soon as the map moves, if you’re using the map for GPS it’ll move smooth, you can actually watch movies with the factory DVD player/CD player, that’s how ahead of its time it was, so it works really well and it’s really smooth, definitely would recommend

  • @NZ_Lexus_IS-F

    Do you like the grom vline, I want some android auto wireless for my 2012 IS-F

    • @FFamilyLB
      @FFamilyLB  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yea I like the vline because it makes it look like it came that way from factory and really updates the interior, I’ve gotten nothing but compliments from people who have seen it, 100% works with everything, all speakers and sub work 100%, when you go into reverse the backup camera comes up and once you put it into drive or park, it goes away, really user-friendly and easy to install, it’s not 100% perfect functionality wise but 90% of the time it works, I prefer it over the double din option from beat sonic, or even the android screen, everyone gets from Amazon, and the cool thing is not too long ago the Grom box updated itself if you connect it to Wi-Fi and with the recent update, it actually gave us wireless CarPlay and wireless and android auto so now we don’t have to buy the dongle and wire that up, there is like a half second lag if you do have it on wireless compared to wired, but it’s not that noticeable it’s only when you’re using music controls, other than that, I love it and I recommend it, there is also another version the grom mini which is just a smaller box but it’s up to your preference

    There’s only like 5k ISF ever produced extremely low production that’s why the aftermarket market is not HUGE.
    That being said the ISF is almost perfect I just wish lexus would produce a second generation already. According to the transmission comment there was a point in time where this car had the fastest transmission in the world so we do have to consider at this car was made in 2008. It is obviously not going to be the best transmission almost 20 years later lol. Technology moves on

    Why not just buy the bumper tabs and brackets from the lexus. I daily drive a camry and there's no comparison from 1 to 3k compared to the ISF.. why did you buy this car?

    • @FFamilyLB
      @FFamilyLB  Před 4 měsíci

      Well Lexus doesn’t sell bumper tabs it’s either a whole new bumper or no bumper at all, and when driving normally in the F from 1-3k it feels like a Camry there’s nothing that would stand out and tell you hey you’re driving an F, after 3k that’s when you know you’re in a F, and I bought this car because I’m a Lexus purist, the V8, the rarity, the cool factor, and reliability

  • @gretskiauto

    • @FFamilyLB
      @FFamilyLB  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Torque/responsiveness is what I was really talking about and in my head I was comparing it to an IS350 of the same year because that was the car I owned prior to my ISF, and IS350s are known to be dig race monsters, very quick, snappy, torquey, and responsive, while the ISF is not a slow car by any means, I did have more fun/exciting launches in my is350, possibly due to the gear ratios between the two cars, hence why people swap the ISF 2.9 gear ratio which is the main reason for that “sluggish” feeling for day to day driving, for the GS450h 3.7 gear ratio for that snappier feeling when hitting the throttle, it did spark my interest in swapping but I’d rather keep my LSD than to get that open diff, quicker acceleration
