FINALLY getting the hang of this trick after a weeks practice. I think one key part of the trick, which you demonstrate but never draw attention to verbally, is that you have to pinch the top part of the strings to your index finger or the yoyo will slip out of the strings every time.
Any thoughts as to why my yoyo tends to rotate when I have it in position for this trick? Same thing for when I do Mach 5. I play with a Maverick responsive. Also, thanks for all these great videos!
Yo-Yos with higher walls, like the Maverick, can be more prone to rotating if the strings aren't lined up just right. This trick is also designed more for unresponsive yo-yos, so a responsive yo-yo with a narrower gap will make it much more difficult.
We have found that to help get a feel for the motion, before starting the bouncing motion, move the yo-yo up to about an inch below your throw hand. This way the bounces are kind of small which makes them a bit easier to contain. As you get a feel for the motion you can lower it down a bit and slowly make the bounces larger as you get a feel for the motion.
I can't bounce the yoyo properly even moving my throwhand up and down. I think im having trouble of controling the string and the yoyo, i found the string getting slack due to that i locked the strings by griping it too much and the yoyo bounces off... or maybe i can't find the rhythm properly. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
How do you stop the yoyo from just going up and down when you pull on it? Because whenever I try to do it, I just keep pulling the yoyo up and making it bounce, which messes up the spin and the trick because it hits my hand.
+Alexis Alexander When you bring the yo-yo up from the split bottom mount the momentum will push it into the front string, and moving your hand up and down will keep it going and create the "boing e boing" motion. Keep practicing and you'll get it!
YoYoExpert When you pull your hand up, is that bring the yoyo back? How do you get a sense of what the rhythm is like? Is the only thing you can do is to practice?
Whenever I do the hand motion, my yoyo tends to move up and down on the string rather than stay in the middle, causing it to typically go under both hands. Any ideas why this may be happening?
The key is really practicing the timing of getting the swing down right. You can practice just like Andre does in the video with the yo-yo just hanging from your finger to get the feel for what the swing should feel like when doing the trick.
Make sure you keep the strings really lined up when you practice this one, it will make it much easier to keep the yo-yo bouncing between them instead of straying off to the side.
When i boing, after a while, the yoyo starts boinging out of angle then the yoyo shoots out, im boinging as straight as i can. And im not shooting the yoyi out of the string segments, any tips?
This is a tough one for sure! - The hardest part is getting the timing right! - Remember, your throw hand is controlling the pace of the boings (yo-yo) and your non-throw hand is staying relatively still at the same time! Let us know if this helps! :)
Same but no one would ever believe me. I think it has something to do with my hand eye coordination being better than the average person because I have played video games for years
yes but you have to change the bearings out. The YoYoFactory Velocity yoyo has a easy/hard (responsive/unresponsive) knob on the sides. I have one i got for my b-day 2 weeks ago and i LOVE it!!!!!
Which part are you stuck on? - If you need the video to go slower, you can change the playback speed by clicking the settings button when you hover over the video and change it to a slower speed! :)

Hey! that works! Thanks for the tip. None of the tutorials I've seen talk about this.
OHHHHHHH!!!!! That's what I'm doing wrong!!
Thanks dude!!!
Wait is this the guy from EXPERT VILLAGE
Yep
NINJA PANDA MUSIC hi
You guys make it look so simple lol! Great tutorial
This one is definitely one of the harder ones to get down. Boing E Boing is definitely one of the ones that requires the most practice to get right.
I just wanna say thanks u dude big respect i look like a pro
Thanks! I appreciate that! 😊

Got it. That makes sense-- thank you!
whenever i dothe up and down motion the yoyo goes left and right. any tips to solve this problem?

I wan't to know the best brake pads, string, bearing, and lube so can you help me with it
There is no 'best' really, it's all personal preference. Try a few different combinations and see which you like best. Thanks!

Start with a slow small motion at first, just to get the feel of it. Then as you start to get the rhythm start to make the motion bigger.
Will you need fairly long string for this because my main problem right now is my string not being long because I'm shorter
This trick is doable with standard length string. If your string is really short you may have some trouble.
YoYoExpert thank you

Alexis Alexander Yeah, practice is the key. Once you get the rhythm down you'll feel it.

It sounds like you may be moving your hand too far up and down. Start with a small motion and once you get the hang of it make the motion bigger.
Ohhh gotcha. I'll make sure to keep that in mind. Thanks for the advice!
@@zachhurley334 don't give up man you got this!
@@zachhurley334 3 years ago ok I didn't realize that there is a high chance you don't even yoyo anymore 🙁
@@orvonton7830 Lol hey man regardless I appreciate the supportive words! I still throw every now and then!
What Yoyo are you using
YoYoJam Dark Magic 2
+YoYoExpert Is a Yomega Pro Speed good for string tricks?
+Pokémon Collector It's a decent yo-yo for learning some beginner to intermediate string tricks.
Okay, thanks for the response, it was helpful. I'm getting a magic yo-yo k6. So, hopefully I can do advanced tricks. 😀
@@Lemon-yn7kk i hope you still yoyo dude 🙁
How long can ur yoyo spin cuz mine spins 20 secs
Spin time really depends on your throw and technique. Keep practicing and you'll start to get better spin times.
Thx mine can spin 40 secs
what is your yoyo?
+Mercury Dragon That's the YoYoJam Dark Magic 2.
O.i am from indonesia,do you sell yoyo to indonesia?
Yes, we can ship to Indonesia.
My yoyo doesn't move forward and backwards it goes up and down

@@yoyoexpert thanks I got it down now
@@du_bist_hasslich Awesome! It is definitely a hard trick to master.
When I do it the yoyo misses the string sometimes
When I say misses the string I mean when it bounces sometimes it goes off to the side
Make sure you keep the strings really lined up when you practice this one, it will make it much easier to keep the yo-yo bouncing between them instead of straying off to the side.
+YoYoExpert well i don't know how to explain this but my yoyo kind of "turns" a different direction, but I'll try keeping the string lined up
@@yoyocuber2565 I hope you still yoyo dude 🙁
I always miss the string
Start slow and just get a feel for how your movements effect where the yoyo lands you will get it if you didn't give up already
When ever I move up and down the yoyo moves side to side or off the string
That will happen when you're learning. Make sure your hands are lined up and keep practicing, you'll get the hang of it!
When i boing, after a while, the yoyo starts boinging out of angle then the yoyo shoots out, im boinging as straight as i can. And im not shooting the yoyi out of the string segments, any tips?
That will happen as your yo-yo slows down and loses spin. Keep on practicing, as you get the trick smoother it won't slow down as fast.
YoYoExpert ok thanks for the tip! Im beginning to get the hang of it
@@AscendedOnOsu i hope you still yoyo dude 🙁
you are so fast i dont mean in the first pleaz reoly me and tell me how

I had to quit this trick in the summer cause I sucked but I've tried again and am much better at it...35 'boings'.
I learned this trick in one day not doing it slow

I want a sage yoyo. Is it a responsive and an unresponsive yoyo?
The 'sage' is a YoYoFactory Onestar. You can find them on our site, they are unresponsive.
yes but you have to change the bearings out. The YoYoFactory Velocity yoyo has a easy/hard (responsive/unresponsive) knob on the sides. I have one i got for my b-day 2 weeks ago and i LOVE it!!!!!
my name is not cassie this is my mom's account. I actually forgot to switch it earlier!??!? lol
there we go thats better this is MY account
the sage is a responsive yoyo. If you want it to play unresponsive, you can buy a unresponsive bearing.
Why so fast I can't concentrate
