- In this video we go back to 1990 and review the film, Home Alone. This movie was released on November 16, 1990, right before the holidays. It had an $18million budget and has made almost $500million worldwide. Apparently people like seeing grown men get hurt for an hour and forty minutes.
Plot summary: It is Christmas time and the McCallister family is preparing for a vacation in Paris, France. But the youngest in the family, Kevin (Macaulay Culkin), got into a scuffle with his older brother Buzz (Devin Ratray) and was sent to his room, which is on the third floor of his house. Then, the next morning, while the rest of the family was in a rush to make it to the airport on time, they completely forgot about Kevin, who now has the house all to himself. Being home alone was fun for Kevin, having a pizza all to himself, jumping on his parents' bed, and making a mess. Then, Kevin discovers about two burglars, Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), about to rob his house on Christmas Eve. Kevin acts quickly by wiring his own house with makeshift booby traps to stop the burglars and to bring them to justice.

@@KisstheReviews I hear you bro 😆
Hey guys, loved this review. Uncle Frank was such an idiot and everytime I saw him, I wish Kevin would have tortured him. There were definitely a lot of plot holes throughout, but it's a lot of fun to watch Kevin take care of the Wet Bandits. Oh, since you showed clips from Tommy Boy and Big Daddy, these would be great for some upcoming reviews...along with another great film Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.
By in large, we stay away from comedies like Big Daddy and Tommy Boy because 1. We love them and can't be dicks toward them and 2. Those style comedies are in such a different reality in order to make jokes work. That said, those thoughts could change any minute.
@@KisstheReviews No problem! Trying to think of a film you could poke fun at.... hmmmm. How about Supergirl. Just a thought!
Supergirl is on the list!!
@@KisstheReviews Awesome!!! Please rip it apart...lol. Don't get me wrong, I love the Superman Movies from this era and I love Helen Slater, but this movie was atrocious. Anyway, I can't wait to see the review. Take care and keep making those great reviews!
Thank you! Frank is the worst!! Love this movie. All have been added to the list!! If you want to skip the line on any, you can make the request through PayPal. www.paypal.me/KissTheReviews
Robert Deniro was offered the role of Harry but turned it down.
Really?! That's a very different movie...
@@KisstheReviewsinteresting fact about Jingle all the way is that Joe Pesci was offered the role of the mailman but turned it down. He used how short he is compared to Arnold as an excuse not to work with him and I'm like REALLY?!! That's the lamest excuse I've heard in a dogs age...look at how short Danny Devito was in Twins and Junior and he worked with Arnold.
Hey! I love your channel I have a request I saw your review on the movie Fear and there’s a similar movie called Mother May I Sleep With Danger it came out the same year it stars Tori Spelling I would love to hear your thoughts on the movie!
Thanks for the comment! We appreciate it. I do vaguely remember Mother May I Sleep With Danger...we may have to add that to the list.
