For me, at least, she’s my comfort youtuber because her videos are chill and lighthearted, and even if she’s having an off day herself the way she phrases it always makes me feel positive. Her videos do a good job of walking the fine line between simple and interesting! I also like the variety of content she puts out! Also it just feels like i’m chillen’ with a close friend whenever I watch a Grackle video :)

No diet culture, no calorie counting, no toxic relationship with food, no excessiveness... just pure old fashioned living life just as it should be! Like, before social media that is what everybody did - and Grace is an amazing example of what we need more of
Theres nothing wrong with calorie counting. Also, you are aware that eating disorders and all that existed way before social media right?

@@ecologist_to_be yes of course, just saying calorie counting itself there is nothing wrong with it. It can be used for weight gain, weight balance and weight loss. But lets be honest those people that use calorie counting to starve themselves would still starve themselves regardless if they count calories or not.
@@Labyriiint I am aware yes since I have recovered from an eating disorder myself. All I’m saying is that social media has increased the number of people struggling with eating disorder, and body image. Also, calorie counting is not wrong, it is just the fact that for some people it becomes excessive which is not good. If you can handle it and use it a healthy way, then fine - but the moment you can’t do anything else or you are restricting too much you are in a bit of a problem,
@@sisselpedersen9828 it has and will always be an issue, sure social media can make it worse but come on. My mom was born 1958 and her and her friends had serious eating disorders when they went to school because of peer pressure and all that. People like to think social media has changed us so much but it hasnt.
Again even without calorie counting these people would still starve themselves. Eating disorders are sad though and a big problem.

Not sure if you will see this but when you pet Banks and she licks herself it's an act of mutual grooming that is often shared between close loving cats. She sees you as another cat and its a sign she likes you. Also when cats sit and stare it generally means they are either hungry and want food, or bored and are looking at you for entertainment
can i just say, as a mentally ill person, thank you so much for not including calorie counting on this video. i usually have to avoid these videos and it's almost impossible to avoid on Instagram. this is refreshing, and made me smile. you are the human equivalent of sunshine. 💛✨

@@B_27 I struggle with disordered eating too, but I’ve realized that I can eat whatever I want and not gain weight only if I eat regularly. When I was deep into disordered eating my metabolism was very slow and therefore more prone to weight gain. Only when I stopped restricting myself and let myself eat what I want did I stay the same weight and get happier :))
Honestly this video is EXACTLY the kindof content I need today - no toxic diet culture narratives, just one wholesome grack and lots of good lookin snacks (and meals ofc) 🥰💕

Same. I wouldnt have come as far as I did without her and Abbey Sharp on youtube. Seeing someone just eat without ANY comment about weight, the food, the calories, the amount of sugar etc. Just her, eating, being happy about food. I usually just have grace in my head all day
You have no idea how comforting it is to watch someone my age, not in a relationship (i myself have never been in a relationship, and have no intentions to be in one), and being 100% okay with it!! And your food video's make me so much better about eating yummy unhealthy food hahaha. those 2 things are something other people make me feel very insecure about so it's very nice to watch, thank you for that!
Oo and someone that has such a good bond with their family and loves spending time with them!! Sooo nice to watch!! I'm 22 and i still go on vacations with my family and people find that so weird but i feel like you wouldn't judge me about it❤
Good for you! Honestly in 10/20/30 years you’re going to be delighted you didn’t waste your time with mild and unsatisfying young relationships and spent a lot of time with your family. I’m 30 and have a friend my age who didn’t date at all til 25 or so, holidays mostly with family most level headed and lovely person. Very content with her life and I can totally understand why

Mum mum served a big bowl of salad with every meal apart from roast. We loved it, it generally consisted of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, olives, onion and peppers
Sometimes I forget non-dysfunctional, loving families exist and it's a very bittersweet thing to actually see them just living their lives

She could get friends and family to translate it, so she doesn't even know what she's supposed to be making (by choosing the recipe/seeing the title before it's translated)

In case you didn’t know it Tim Hortons was founded in Canada byyyy...Tim Horton. He was a hockey player in the NHL playing defensemen for the Toronto Maple Leafs winning four Stanley Cups in the 60’s. The classic Canadian stance is the hand permanently cramped into a coffee cup holder with donut in the other hand. “Roll up the rim to win” came around every year with the crocuses and daffodils. Every “roll up” was a win. T.H. Is no longer Canadian owned...an eagles talons picked it from us.
And that sale was a sad loss for Canadians. Tim's is still here, but not so ok with it being in the "eagle's talon".

I am old - very old , and l am slowly getting used to the internet . l have ME ( myalgic encephalomyelitis ) - just over 30 years now and South Africa had never heard of it back then , except by the name Yuppie Flu which is a horrible name for something so serious - and l have branched out into a face book page ( l didn't have face book before ) for sufferers of ME . lt is faith based as l am a Christian and its only 8 months now . lts hard work running a face book page so well done to you to manage the filming and all that . You used the word wholesome - so l thought l would share something wholesome l am doing .
