    my theory for Pokémon Legends Z-A with megas is we are the first to use it and they research it through out the story

    To add onto the theory, Gen 10 will be a 30th anniversary title (2026) and I can see them bringing it and maybeeeee the other gimmicks as a form of celebration, but definitely can see megas the most

    Megas will be part of gen 10. Gen 10 will have multiple gimmicks. Mark my words!!!

    My favourite gimmick was mega evolutions, although I did really enjoy Terra forms and liked the concept, I just hated the way it looked.
    I would like to see mega's stick through the games and maybe have future games with multiple options on what you would like to do, I reckon that would change the game up massively, like you can either mega evolve or terra and so on so on.

  • @hokusei90

    They should just stick to mega evolution and regional variations

    Megas might come back for Gen 10, but they could vanish again come 11 or 12. However there is a good reason to think that they will never be gone for long, and that is that they have run out or are running out of gimmicks.
    Think about it - We've had super forms, super moves, giant Pokemon and changing types. What else could possibly be made into a gimmick?

    • @TrainerD.C.
      @TrainerD.C.  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Fusion... I doubt they'd ever do that but it's definitely something the community has talked about. But agreed. Their first gimmick was the best gimmick and I highly doubt they'll ever be able to top Megas.

      @@TrainerD.C. Personally it can easily be debated on which gimmick is the best, but Megas can be rebalanced between generations if they want to keep it around.

    Continuing the pattern of every other generation receiving a core remake, it seems Mega Evolution will likely play a significant role in Gen 12. For instance, Gen 2 was remade in Gen 4, Gen 3 in Gen 6, and Gen 4 in Gen 8. Following this logic, we could anticipate 'Let's Go' or 'Legends' games to bridge the gaps, with Gen 5 possibly appearing in Gen 10 and Gen 6 in Gen 12. The only exception to this pattern was Gen 1, which saw remakes in Gen 2, 3, 4, and 7.
    Maybe Gen 10 will recognize evolutions but introduce its own fusion concept to expand on black and white kyrume

    What is the point of introducing new Megas for Legends ZA, if they will be just stuck in that game. Gen 10 will have Megas.

    Let's be honest: we hope that.
    But in reality I guess Zygarde and maybe Yveltal/Xerneas are getting some sort of mega or proto-form and that's it.
    Since Sword/Shield the games got just worse and worse, still they made an ass full of money with them. Scarlet/Violet were even the fastest selling Switch games iirc. And these games (and especially their DLC is just boring as hell...

  • @wombel332
    @wombel332 Před 2 měsíci +1

    I'll be honest, i don't want mega evolutions. Sure, they look cool and all, but they have ruined some pokemons chance for a future normal evolutions, which makes them rely on a certain gimmick to be viable. And if pokemon rely on a gimmick, it's a terrible game design.

    • @TrainerD.C.
      @TrainerD.C.  Před 2 měsíci +2

      I don't disagree with you on the future evolutions point... Sableye and Audino should've gotten regular evolutions as opposed to Megas. However, what's stopping them from giving them a regular evolution in the future even though they already have Megas?

    • @wombel332
      @wombel332 Před 2 měsíci

      Honestly? Technically nothing is stopping gamefreak from just grabbing existing Mega Evolutions for Sableye, Audino, Lopunny etc and making them into normal evolutions. However, i don't think the community would be too happy about it, since it would probably mean that megas would definitely become a thing of the past

    • @monsieurgb497
      @monsieurgb497 Před 2 měsíci +3

      I think they could have Megas for Pokemon not fully evolved, like we had gigantamax of Eevee and Pikachu, so Pinsir, Aerodactyl, Heracross, Houndoom, Scizor, Sableye, Mawile, Manetric, Lopunny and Audino, could still have Megas AND new normal evos.

    • @TrainerD.C.
      @TrainerD.C.  Před 2 měsíci

    • @TrainerD.C.
      @TrainerD.C.  Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@wombel332 I wouldn't be a fan of that tbh. Keep those designs as Megas and create new designs for evolutions. Would keep the Megas viable while also adding a new evolution that could be viable in a different sense. For example, Mega Sableye has good defensive stats so maybe a new evolution for Sableye would be faster and more offensive.
