- In this video we will explore the version of Isle of Thunder which exist in game but isn't used. It features a lot of placeholders and is much more simplistic than the instanced version. Still it makes for a great exploration and even better RP location. Enjoy!

So much stereotypical hate towards MoP , but I think that it was one of the most gorgeous expansions ever. Blizzards actually managed to add two amazing max level locations in patches as well as the full Pandaria at launch (now they scrap islands as soon as at alpha stages), with unqiue music (it really stands out from the minor key of tense tunes in every other part of WoW) and vivid locations.
Anyway, my main question is : why didn't they just add the island to where it was supposed to be? I'm pretty sure there was a reason for that, but why make another mapfile and an instanced zone.
Alexey Filippenko Nothing wrong with someone not liking MoP, everyone has different tastes and opinions. My personal taste is why I didn't care for it aesthetically, as the Asian inspired theme doesn't fit (in my opinion) in WoW's almost exclusively Medieval themed fantasy world. The mechanics and gameplay was pretty good yeah, but aesthetically it didn't fit for me.
And about the "now they take out entire islands at launch" comment, speaking specifically for Legion's Thal'dranar, it was for good reason they didn't implement it, as they decided on a *much* better idea than the typical, boring, played out island questing zone they put in almost every expansion.

+Zuberi I don't think you're familiar with the CZcams ToS. It's impossible to get a channel banned for a couple dozen repeat likes when you have Hillary Clinton and MTV buying positive thumbs in increments of 500.
Would love to see how Maw of Souls really looks in WoW. I'd imagine it's just visual effects or the map itself moving to give off the illusion that the ship is moving through the sea, similar to the spine of deathwing and grimrail depot.
For one that loved both mop and isle of thunder ALOT, this was a very neat and awsome video ^^

How It Really Looks: Class Order Halls maybe? not sure if there is anything of interest in that though

I will begin to release all Legion content when the tools I use are updated for Legion! Dungeons, Order halls and Artifact scenarios are going to get covered primarily
I am willing to bet that the Rogue Order Hall has some inaccessible bits, since it is built into one half of the Dalaran Sewers.
There is also a very quick loading spike when going down the hidden ramp from Glorious Goods, which suggests that the entire area isn't even part of the actual Dalaran model, but perhaps in a separate file with a seamless loading transition.
Jeremy, that makes sense, because something similar happens with your first visit to Isle of Thunder, you appear to actually fly there on an NPC's mount, without a loading screen.

Interesting video! I wonder where the Portrait Room is actually located since it's obviously bigger than the Chamber of the Guardian. The same goes for the room in Stormwind Wizard Sanctum.
The Stormind Wizard Sanctum is actualy located under the mage tower. Not too deep underground. I think Hayven did already show it in one of his videos. So im assuming the same (or sorta) goes for the portrait room. Also the mage order hall i think it has its own instance?? Back in the alpha i did jump off the balcony in the mage order hall, trying to land into the dalaran i see under it, to see how the hall would look from outside (it appears as it is in the higher tower) but the hall was floating upon and the view of Dalaran u see is an illusion as you fall tru it and i ended up in a small piece of sea. And pretty soon i ran into invisible walls.

As Luke Socie mentioned. Maybe Class halls. I kinda like to see about the mage's since its to take place in main tower in dalaran. Kinda wondering how much of the city you could access if you managed to get down to the streets below.
All of it. But it appears to be sitting in the void not over the broken isles. Like if you go down to dalaran the whole city is there just no npcs. But if you jump off of it you fall into the endless void.
Please do a How It Really Looks with Maw of Souls, It'd be cool to see how the sea and waves look from outside the playable area

So, the rules behind going to these places, does blizz care anymore? Cause that roleplay thing does sound a bit neat to do.
Wow Jedi Personally, my own rule for this is as long as it does not give the player a advantage.
It is against the ToS and thus it should be done at your own risk. However it is not really harming anyone so as long as you handle it ok I dont see why Blizzard would punish you. I was there with a couple of guildes RPing we were shipwrecked on an unknown South Seas island and went on spending a few nights exploring the island in character before finding rescue. None of us got into trouble but it was one of the cooler more immersive RP experieces we had had to that date. So the answer is yes, it is to be used at your own risk, but I have never seen anyone get in trouble for it.

Hey! great vid! Did you notice that this island (the real isle of thunder that you explored) is the one we see on the world map? I explored it too and the one we see on the world map is exactly the same size and shape, it's not the "isle of thunder from the zoomed Pandaria map. I wonder why they didn't change it on this map.

Yeah I know... it"s really sad. I just discovered his channel a week ago and I was excited to see this continue his content is awesome. He made me want to explore old versions of wow (and I did) I'm so sad I won't see more of him and he won't see what comes next in the game.

Maybe you should put some kind of disclaimer when showing how to glitch to places are you aren't supposed to go. It's actually against the ToS, I don't know, it's just a thought. Don't wanna have people getting banned on your behalf. Anyways, great video as always!

Wow, thats a tough question. I think I would want to know if they still have archived versions of wow older than the 2003 alpha which was leaked. If they did, I've always wanted to try out and explore the game's humble beginnings. Everything about the early wow just fascinate me.
This didn't work for me. I used metamorphosis to get behind the wall and nothing was on the other side and died from exhaustion. Checked the map and I was directly over this 'non-instanced' isle of thunder.
why isn't there a "I LOVE IT I LOVE IT" button like just isn't good enough haha

It always bother me when I see area's of models that are see through. I first seen these in Halo 2 getting out of the maps. WoW just makes it more weird since I've played it for so long without seeing something broken... other than the PvP balance ( *ba-dum-tsh* )
