I recently begun making CZcams videos of my travels. Any advice on how I can improve them would mean a lot!
its a shame you are promoting such crappy rap music though.
I always wash your channel now you get me subscribe am happy you are In my country 🎉🎉🎉
You don't have to reply to us but we'll see your tour guide and he'll answer to your lies..Pure foolishness
I THINK YOU HAVE THE WRONG IMPRESSION OF JAMAICA.
Remember🇯🇲there are good and bad places everywhere in the world . Also 99% of tourists are absolutely safe in Jamaica . Most people will want to be your friend . You won’t be in any danger walking unless you do something ridiculously stupid. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Like actively look for crime scenes. I'm disappointed with his review of Jamaica. Makes me question how he reviewed other destinations before.
@@antoinepageau8336 i know because he could hv shown new kingston , trafalgar road ect … which is minutes away from the garrisons . At least show the contrast .
99% ain't the best odds for a tourist lol
@@oaga71625e I would have said 100% but anything can happen anywhere in the world . Kingston is a beautiful place and there’s nice hotels and museums here and he chose to put his camera down at those sites . I live in kingston and I also live in the states
Idk, cause when i went there hotels worker give attitude and steal some stuff from hotel room
I love how music brings people together, no matter what’s going on around those guys are smiling having a blast rapping about selling stuff. No matter the situation find joy in what you’re doing
Because they are ALL artifically DRUNK and HIGH
🤣yeah mn welcome to Jamrock

@@AlphaDonMega That seems harsh. Did you test them before they got filmed?
(:
I visited Montego Bay about 25 years ago and it was the friendliest place I've ever visited. The people are overwhelmingly fantastic, a bit difficult to understand at times, but truly sincere people and I loved it there.
Totally agreed. Have loved getting to meet so many kind Jamaicans.
What you don't highlight that the US created a political war to end socialism in the country.
Ridiculous. It is a den of thieves.
@@IndigoTraveller Indigo Jamaicans tend to have mix reaction of Jamaica,i never liked how you made Jamaica seem like the worst when we are actually on the up.
@@user-dx5mg9by9yHomicide rates above 50 per 100k residents can't be explained away. Even in the US with all it's guns is closer to 5. Math removes bias. If the truth offends the problem isn't the truth.
The people in Jamaica are some of the best, friendliest and most grateful people! I will continue to go there every single year. Every single place has locations like this, it doesn’t define the country. I loveee Jamaica! Great series.
If the people are like that, then why does Jamaica have one of the highest murder and crime rates in the world?
@@CBatista1234Because very few people are the ones commiting the crime.
The ones that are doing it are making it a livelihood thus when crime is done by the few, it is extreme.
@@CBatista1234 every place has crime? Look in your backyard. Just because some people are doing crimes doesn’t mean everyone is lol don’t judge a book by its cover.
One Community Global is the idea. We live in our communities, wherever they are all over the world, we try to make the best of it, but we are crippled and struggle through the unjust, unhealthy, unsustainable monetary-market system which has been used over 6,000 years now, and it is vastly out-dated!
Humans have great potential for cooperation, collaboration and care! But if we are not in the system that embraces that then we will continue to see unnecessary struggles. To move forward we should do some research, share with others and build our communities up, like One Small Town Contributionism communities are doing or Mutual Aid Networks!
@@itslhiggsxand who is committing most of the crime 🤔
Hey there, been a huuuge fan since your very first videos but i have a feedback for you Nick:) recently your conversations with the locals are always around how dangerous the place is or how many people get shot at the next street. I know these kind of things are catchy but the i'm eager to hear more in depth conversations to understand the sociological aspect of the places you visit. Thanks, keep up the good work.
Thank you, I always appreciate honest feedback and of course your long time support. I will make conversations and interviews more variued in the future due to your feedback. In all honestly though, Jamaica has some of the most dangerous Nieghbourhoods in the world and it was not at all safe in some areas to say the least and as someone who questions the current situation for the locals of a country is my main goal then the danger itself seemed to be a talking point and as a matter of fact many people brought it up on their own. I do appreciate the feedback and have taken it into consideration. Merry Xmas! Nick
Yes he sounds like he is reading them a script.
I noticed that too.
Have to agree on this one. First time I thought about skipping the rest of a video when I was halfway through, as nearly every sentence contained the word dangerous. Good that you guys noticed it too. Looking forward to some changes for the better in the future!
@@mak12578homicide rates above 50 per 100k aren't just a narrative. For comparison, in the us with all it's guns it's 10 times lower.
@mak12578 it's as if this guy is searching to find the level of violence he found in Haiti. He went to Montego Bay and couldn't find no violence to show. Now he had to go back downtown Kingston trying hard to find something. What happen to the rest of the island bro why haven't you gone to the other parishes?
This video reminds me of when I used to travel to Jamaica with my family several times a year. The children loved it. Especially, chasing the baby animal and waking up early to go out with their grandfather to feed the animals. They are all professionals now and give back to Jamaica in many ways. Bless up to you and your family
Beautiful :)
I worked at a resort in Florida and we had a lot of Jamaican workers that would work for the season and go back home, I myself hired a young lad who was one of the nicest and well spoken oeoooe I’ve ever met. Dressed nice and put me on Shoes! He was very observant , one day he said “why do the black peoole on America, and minorities like yourself talk low about your own people? And are always so serious with your own kind” and it stuck with me . He even was able to get adopted by his father here in the states at 17 and move here permanently and humbled me with the things he said, like the fact he got a paycheck and can get himself clothes. He cried the first paycheck we handed him, the last was direct deposit and he was saving for a car. Amazing young man called Demitri
Jamaica series feels very centred on violence. What are the cultural practices? What is the food? What sort of music do they listen to?
Didn't feel like i learned much from this. That's just my constructive feedback
exactly my thoughts
Soo with you.
Agreed! All he talked about was the suspected violence. Jamaica is way bigger and better than just violence.
I liked a town called Falmouth when I visited some years ago very reminiscent of Saint Augustine Florida.
I think too perhaps it’s because of the high violent crime rate of Jamaica for it being such a small country. My country usa, for example, has a great deal of violence too but I think because it is such a large nation no one thinks nearly as much of it, like it’s almost to be expected in larger country’s . A large country with a low rate of violence, now that would be a superb place.
My family is from Jamaica and i go there a lot, there are things i learn about this country in each of your videos. I don't have any business going anywhere downtown so it's shocking to see much of the stuff you are experiencing. Much love and thank you for visiting my awesome country🇯🇲
That is kind of you to leave such a comment. I love Jamaica and wish it the best :)
@@IndigoTravellerhey indigo I was wondering if you'd ever consider going to northern Ireland as it's history is fascinating and is currently safe enough for you to film
dude love the content, but I do feel you're pushing the "danger" narrative a bit hard in this series. I get that Kingston isn't safe, but you come across as more eager for "content" rather than letting the stories tell themselves
Perfectly said!!!!!!
I've been to Jamaica a few times, and I've heard they are very appreciative of the tourists. They won't do you wrong. Every country has its sore spots.
The contrasts are so extreme because of how damn beautiful the Island is. It looks like there's still hope for Jamaica's future. Thanks.
Jamaica future downtown.
There is hope for all of our futures but we have to be co-creators of it. As the ancient wisdom of Socrates still rings true: "The secret to change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new." The new system that supports all humanity is being built, but not many people know exactly how, yet most of us know the types of behaviours that would help: Cooperation, collaboration and co-ownership.
That's why it is good to investigate a little bit about viable alternatives to our currently unsustainable monetary-market system. Looking at One Small Town Contributionism or Mutual Aid Networks or The Zeitgeist Movement, there are options emerging.
Another great series comes to an end. What a journey!!
Thank you for taking us along for the ride ❤
Merry Christmas and all the best 😍❤️

@user-dx5mg9by9y he's just a liberal left wing kind of guy, so is most young people. He probably thinks the UN is a nice and noble organization. Fantastic series! Love your work Nick and a Merry Christmas to you and yours! may your toes be warm, your belly always full and your heart full of Joy in this coming year!
You were misinformed about the rubbish situation. What happens is that the garbage is cleaned every night, and in the mornings the stores would put their garbage out along with street venders. In the areas that are cleaner, have less stores and street side venders. Either way the garbage is all cleaned at nights. If you go the same places early in the mornings it would be much cleaner.
Thank you for explaining that to me. Much appreciated :)
Yes they clean in the night pull up in the morning until garbage trucks comes they pick it up
His guide knows nothing about Jamaica
My family is from Jamaica and my cousin is a police officer there. Although it has the reputation, it does. You pretty much have to see it for yourself. It's not all bad.

showing the worst of a country doesn't mean you love it , you are the worst, typical euro mentality, showing the worst of black countries, I live in NYC and I can show it as a dump, everywhere in the world has sore spots, for all your videos to be showing the worst of black countries is sick, you are the problem@@IndigoTraveller
I was in Jamaica for 10 says rented an air b&b in halfway tree, walk ed,took buses never had any problem. Was treated nicely by the locals. So proud that you’re a kiwi bro. You’ve made some of the rawest and most valuable content on any platform and it’s available to us for free. The danger you put yourself in to bring us along with you to the parts of the world nobody gets to see does not go unnoticed. We appreciate you, Nick.
A kiwi? He’s a fruit?
Kiwi is a nickname for New Zealanders @@ocrbeats. Don't know why but probably because of the flightless bird? I'd like to know what the story is :)

Thank you so much! Yeah Rolls Royce British Airways motor. Merry xmas!
Jamaicans seem like the friendliest people in the world. I had only heard Jamaica could be dangerous from the lady at the post office who did my passport. But she also said she went as a 50 something alone white woman and had a blast and never felt in danger once. She didn’t stay at a resort or anything and I think partied at whatever public beaches she could find. Loved every minute of it. I’d say these days you’re probably safer there than you are at say an American public school.
I listen to "Drift" almost daily.... their version is so funny and talented. Seriously, loved their song so much for the creativity.
Thank You Nick For Sharing This History On Jamaica❤❤💯💯
Thank you for watching!
He knows nothing about Jamaica, he needs to highlight is own country and leave others alone!
Man. Those guys rapping about the selling of the clothes! That was so much fun - making me wanna buy some of those new jeans asap!

Lol idk I'm Jamaican born in Canada and lived in Jamaica for a year also been there many times and all the parishes, and don't understand why people say Jamaica is dangerous. The people in Jamaica are welcoming of all races and positive compared to a lot of other countries. There isn’t much poverty in New Zealand if you look at the statistics. Poverty is relative to the population and equality is high (gini coefficient).
I love all the travel videos like these . I just subscribed and started watching your videos a few days ago, and I love em! You do such a great job explaining about the places you visit. I love your mellowness and you seem to be a very patient person. I'm working my way through your playlist now and I noticed something. It's just a suggestion, but I noticed that you don't interact with the locals, anywhere that you go. People love to filmed. They will tell you no, if they dont want to. The people make a place what it is. Instead of telling the story of the hostel clerk at the Armenian room with a shower in the bedroom, you could have filmed it all. Please don't be offended. I love your videos. You throw in alot of little humorous bits that crack me up! If I had a patreon account and I wasn't homeless in the mountains of North Carolina, I would give you some big bucks, but all I can do is pray for your safety. Keep on keepin on. Much love. Delaney ...... p.s get you some bear spray and pepper spray for mean animals who endanger your life.
loved the episodes man!
Thank you!
The amount of hate is ridiculous. Why are yall refusing to believe this is how it is other places. THIS IS THE REAL WORLD.
I’ve been in Jamaica about 9 times all on a mission trip where we stayed with the locals in their communities maybe cause I was a missionary or they consider me a tourist as an outsider I did not feel threatened in danger or anything remotely that close except the one time I got stung by a jellyfish and the locals told me to pee on it but it helped. But what I think nick is showing us is the daily life of an average Jamaican in these cities cause the danger is true for Jamaicans but as an outsider I feel safer in most part in Jamaica then I feel going to the a local store. Jamaica have my a bad rap about being dangerous but it has one of the best loving ppl. Not once I haven’t past a Jamaican in the morning and I get that good morning in that Jamaican accent. As popular as Jamaica is most people just see the tourist but if they venture out and yes the driving part will sometimes leave you with needing to pack of underwear but you’ll be safe and just go and talk to local ppl they will love you and give you some of the best food you ever had that tourist places have nothing at all compared you can get from the locals.
It's not because you are a missionary or tourist, Jamaica is an awesome country, I've been living in Jamaica all my life and never feel threatened, that is just a small portion of downtown, the majority of Jamaica, awesome, relaxing, right now I'm relaxing in my bed, my windows are open, my doors are open, no noise around.
I’d go back to JA tomorrow if I could. Great country. Blessings from Melbourne, Australia.

Watching this video has caused me to be questioning your other videos because as a Jamaican I know that Jamaica is not as dangerous as you've portrayed it.
Nick, you are a curious, courageous and kind soul. The work you do is incredible, as it is helping people see the humanity in others. THANK YOU! Please keep taking care of your wonderful self!! We need light workers like you who spread compassion, love and understanding.
There are so many good people in Jamaica even in those places downtown you visited. Despite the challenges there has been progress in Jamaica in many asoect of life on the Islamd However I think it's equally correct to say there has not been enough progress i on improving many of the social issues affecting the Island .
Anything, any place, any person, is viewed from the perspective of the person portraying it. We are shown what they want to show us, and that will obviously be what they 'sell'. This channel in most countries go deeper into places where tourists normally don't go. Sometimes, things aren't quite what they seem... I come from a country with a tremendously high crime rate, but on the surface, it doesn't look that way. Also, it has many parts. There are always better and worse areas. I would love to see Jamaica still.
Thank you so much for your hard work and videos! You are by far one
of the best journalists. You show both sides of each country with no lies and most importantly you are very empathetic and kind. May you have a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year! Looking forward to your videos next year!
I notice when the gentleman makes a comment you turn it your own way and he says yes even though what you said is twisting his statement like when he said tourists would feel safer in Montego Bay and you blew it out of proportion. I don't respect that at all. Going for the drama just for views with no care that it can turn away customers
Thank you for risking your life while traveling to extreme places and taking your time to film it and sharing it with me and the world!
what risk?
Risking his life to visit one of the tourism capitals of the world?
