Its very clear Modris team is much more coordinated than Vipers team. They have set strategies and comps they are going for game after game. Green was full halb from pocket every game, they know exactly what theyre gonna do every game and VIpers team is casually discussing comps in feudal age. If other teams are equally prepared VIpers team probably wont win a series
And it feels to me they don't listen to what Viper asks for. First game no bombard cannons... Second game T90 got overwhelmed also... Idk you're making a very good point. The way they walled...
Definitely this as well. During second game viper told bloodless very early on to switch out of elephants and into champions. Never happened and it was one of the key points that caused them to lose. Elephants were just melting against Vikings and t90 was full cav also.
If only Teutons had access to a unit that survives with 60% of HP when fighting paladins and 95% of HP when fighting halberdiers
Edit: Dravidian halbs tho. Let's thank the devs for implementing a mechanic that lets an anti-cavalry unit do more damage than a paladin to the most heavily-armored unit in the game. Meanwhile, Huns have Atheism

For anyone curious, I believe Modri wanted a re in game 1 because the leftmost pond for Team Modri is so far forward and the left is so open that you can't exactly fish boom in it safely, while Team Viper has all 3 safe.
right. but the rule is that the lake has to be inaccessible, like surrounded by trees for example for the lake difference to cause a restart. its not about 'safe' lakes.
Yeah I was wondering about that and came to the same conclusion. "It's not bugged, it's unlucky" makes sense. Technically not inaccessible, but practically inaccessible. Though on the other hand, Team Modri chose to play really aggressively because of it, and their forward position won them the game. It was kind of impossible for King Marv to defend such an open lane. Honestly, I kind of wish they did reset. It was a good game, but it wasn't exactly a Black Forest game. Had some Arabia in there. Team Modri just did one long push and killed King Marv pretty quick, and it's really hard to make a comeback 3v4. There was barely any activity on the right side or middle.

@@phoqueoeuf Now? That's how black forest has always been, particularly on team games. Sometimes the way the trees spawn its an open map instead of a closed map. Yeah, it was a pretty calm game, Team Modri did one long push because it's hard to defend that. Boring. I kinda wish they had reset.

even when i watch these games casted i always enjoy, if not prefer, getting them from a player's perspective. Especially Viper's. thanks for the upload.

Vipi hope you see that. In the Celts game, You manually clicked all barracks to cancel queue. You may use ctrl+right click on top queued units icons to cancel them. Could be useful for you besides of shifting into those barracks . Hope you the best ❤ in RF tournament

I don't game aoe2, to old relearn everything again and no time. One thing I notice from many of vipers contents that marv are really good team player, something I respect and looking as important character in teamwork games 👍
I also enjoy finding those players who aren't super flashy on the 1v1 ladder, but are rock solid in team games. Slam is the other player I used to enjoy seeing in team games. Really calm, always civil and sometimes just wins it for his side

Viper ur a 1 man army but you can't be everywhere at once. U might have to try holding more often on your own and let the rest push ( ofc after you boomed enough to make it possible)
T90 is so defeatist when behind. It's like he got wololo'd. Hard to win 5v3.

I think the rules in these games are no slinging till imp. That is the usual way, but I'm not sure for this tournament for sure.

Game 2 was so back an forth. Why didn't Viper make scorpions vs all that infantry.
Because players are convinced that scorpions are bad, despite that scorpions are the best common counter to champions

And they have moments where they mass scorpions and stack them on top of each other and they all get destroyed at once by onagers or bombard cannons, and conclude that they are right to think that scorpions are bad.
@@RiskyDramaUploads right vs all those halbs champions and beserks he would have cleaned half the map.
I'd imagine the same reason he largely stopped making SOs; just a few Houfnice nullify then completely, and scorps are even more vulnerable and require a larger mass.
