Walling in trebs with houses made me so happy. There have been so many instances in the past months were players, inluding the very best, lost their trebs because they didn't just place a couple of walls or buildings
Building multiple castles and several churches right on your opponent's face is the most crusader thing ever.
Especially with Teutons.

Absolutely agree, however being spoiled the result of the game in first 4 minutes. Not too happy about that, but with all the greatness of the editors this is a minor slip

Red converting Blue's hand cannons around 24min point was a blessing in disguise. That pushed Blue to migrate.

I was going down a rabit hole through the older videos and saw one that incorperated a "Pop cart" after a king died (it gave the owner 50 extra pop per cart) is that just a one off or has that game element been revisited at all?
if the wonder had a useful function it would actually make my day :)
I love the Teutons, but I was cheering for Blue the whole way because they seemed like the definite underdog in this match

17:38 I used to struggle against towers too. Until I tried Turrimperdere, Turped or TRPD for short. Now all my troubles are gone!
Last time someone blocked my gates on arena I threw so hard, it didn't occur to me until after the game that I could've just deleted the wall next to it. They full trolled me that game, constantly growing layers of walls around my walls, bombard cannons everywhere, everything I tried was countered. The whole time I was just swinging back and forth between being mad and laughing. Fun game, but arena got the big red x back after that.

Been playing this game since pre 2013 HD ...Currently 508 rating. im like 4 wins and 18 losses LOL ...What doe ELO stand for is that like my rating? I will say this playing vs people is not same game as playing the AI

@@kattcity yep, its your skill level compared to others. Mid point is around 1000, the pros have 2400+ elo.

I've done something similar, let my base get rekt than just rebuild from the sides, I won because the enemy was so laser focused on my base haha

Was holding out hope for blue for soo long that he would win against the cowardly tower/castle rush.
It's a war game lol, how "cowardly" a strategy is doesn't matter as long as it works.
@@presentfactory It also wasn't really cowardly. Red was very bold with his forward villagers and that was a big part of what made his strategy work.

@@presentfactoryif you say so, but I think tower rushes in RTS games will always be the biggest cheese strat of all time.
I had already concluded before the wonder went up that red would win. It really felt like an uneven match. The micro skills and good calls red made either completely threw blue off or red is really just that much better a player.
Its a shame the bully won. Feel bad for blue since he put in a good effort to fight back against that nuisance of a play.

It's funny because this is how my every game goes. I play Teutons and Cumans on arena and I either trush or get trushed.
I would hate to play against red. Breaking my SimCity immersion with a Fortnite house in front of my gate.
The second ranked ladder should rotate between different fun 🥳 spins on the game, with formats like:
• Starting with heroes
• AI 🤖 coop
• Have livestock 🐄 training be a thing and good
• Have NPC buildings which impact the game
• Have resources, units, or buildings not available normally
• Have custom scenarios
• Etc.

Actually people do play empire wars. I play it exclusively over random map and queue times aren't even bad. So let's not suggest removing things some people actually like. (That said, I wouldn't mind more variance added to ranked matches. Just not at the cost of something plenty of people play and enjoy.)
All that's needed to block a tower rush is palisade walls.
Wall behind the area he is breaking into, place a tower there pre-emptively (not counter tower), continue going fast castle (stable blacksmith), build a siege workshop, make a mangonel.

Very skilled play by both players! If I had to guess the ELO I would've put them both around 2,200+! I wish you had hidden their ELO and revealed it at the end of the match instead!

Im not even close to this level and I don't play arena that much but my experience has been that relocating rarely works on arena.
The issue is that if I can't hold the position inside the walls there's no way I can hold a position outside of them.
The new base can be pushed even more easily than the old one

Not correct - the answer as usual is "it depends". If the only reason you lost your position inside your walls is because the opponent invested a ton of resources and rushed you with immobile offensive building like towers and castles, then he doesn't have the resources or the techs or the units to assault your position outside of the walls. Furthermore, it buys you more time to gain units and techs that can counter a building offense - imagine an opponent trying to tower down your base when you have maxed out Siege Onagers - even with terrible micro on your part there is simply no way the opponent could ever succeed.
Keep in mind that not all combat engagements are a swing in resources like monk conversions are - just because you opponent defeated some of your resources worth of units doesn't mean he GAINS those resources. If you got rushed in the first place he does not have a strong resource income back home at his base and you won't have an entirely different tech switch unit to be assaulting your new position immediately.

I wish T90 didn't pause so often, takes away from the moment of enjoying the game. Kind of like watching a movie and the director pausing in the middle of a big scene to tell the audience the back story of that scene. Otherwise awesome game!
