amazon sells limit switches for 15 bucks
Changing a motor and rail is such easy money.
Don't sell Genie anymore? I install them a few times a week.
This dude is a crook... $ 489.00 just for half fixing it.
No need to get a new opener, just purchase a limit switch assembly
Then something else breaks in a couple of months that doesn’t make sense
When they call for repairs they get repairs

Wdym they don’t make genie anymore I install one almost everyday but love the videos I got into the garage door business in may once I graduated and I love it!!
he is talking about the old ones like the screw drive that’s what he meant yes genie makes openers still but not those noisy screw drives anymore
@@vvrost except genie still makes screw drive openers too. Tbh I never recommend LiftMaster/Chamberlain to anyone unless they want me back out there in a couple months to fix something that went wrong with it 😂

Why would you remove the bottom fixtures to put the cables back? You have no clue as to what you’re doing buddy lol
This makes me glad I do installs on new construction. Customers man, so many ignorant questions while inferring you're a crook.

I don’t want all this technical explanation and the guy telling me to go buy one and do it myself. Why don’t you just tell me hey you need a new opener. Your current opener isn’t working anymore and the new opener will cost you xyz Also see where it’s smoking so yes you need a new one and I as customer would say ok let’s do it. I don’t want all this name brands and technical explanations like the copper is touching the switch and this wire here and there you’ll have to manually close it every time. That’s not what I want to hear from a guy who is charging me $489
