- 135 Subscriber Special! Since I got 135 subscribers I decided to go to the Thunderbolt 1003 that started this channel and thanks to you subscribers for subscribing to this channel! also I apologize for the fence in the way I could not go to the cemetery again because the bushes have grown so I had to go to the gate and when it went off and the horn pointed towards me the blower shook the ground! also FireAlarmTechGuy44 was here with me to see the siren test.

This is some really cool scenery for such a siren
Great spot for a thunderbolt
Yeah
Short blast But that it runs great!!
Awesome! Very short though.
Gametrain The Signal Fan yeah it is very short of a test not sure why but they used to test longer says Medusan980
It's too bad they do such short tests now. They used to set them off in hi lo alert and then hi lo attack for about 1-2 minutes each cycle
medusan980 wow that would have been awesome but it seems they don't do it anymore which is just sad
I think I know why. so people don't think there actually something bad happening. and to not annoy people as well
Aleksander Sats yeah
In my place the siren tests 50 seconds monthly
You are lucky you got to film that. The Refinery i am near has horrible security that can end up calling the police on you for filming their Hörmann ECN and Klaxon ES sirens. Anyway nice catch
Thanks! and yeah refinery security can be quite a pain in the butt if your a siren enthusiast had that happen once in 2019...
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 oof but yeah ours up at Grangemouth are not nice. They sent the police to my friend Karla's door and they said to me its a "private site" yeah right 😒 I only tried to record your dam broken Klaxon ES1/3S and if it were private they would have big borders around it but yeah make sure you stay safe and don't get caught or end up in a situation like Karla lol 🤣
Nice!
Thanks! :-D
Wicked

@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 You're welcome☺
Hi!
Hello! :-)
Where in Sarnia is this?
Nevermind it's at the industrial areas
Suncor refinery.
Glad she still blows yet they need to get rid of it’s rust
A wish that may never come true unfortunately. They probably only care about it functioning.
cool
hi-lo
it should have done a wind down hi low before reaching the pitch it started at
They tend to test short so they cancelled it before it wound up again.
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 he's saying that it should have done a down sweeping hi-lo (or alternate wail where it goes down) before doing a deap roar
rather than a hi-lo wail
@@mjt777x8 well then if that's the case it's impossible to do that automatically with non 1962 thunderbolt 1003s
Where are the thunderbolts in Sarnia, which plant, been looking
Suncor Refinery they have 3 Tbolts 2 you can see and 1 you cant see because it's in further on their property.
Too short of a blast
truckie6119 I know right? I wish it went for like 2 or 3 minutes
truckie6119: i agree
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 Same here
0:32 ALT WAIL!!!!!!1
Actually no. What happened is this siren is doing Undulating High Low and since the agastat in the RCM1 isn't bypassed...when the siren turns on again it has to wait the delay that's left on the agastat before the chopper comes on again hence why the solenoids startup first before the chopper. In this case the solenoids came on but the delay wasn't finished so the chopper couldn't come on yet but it was cancelled before the chopper could come on after the agastat delay. If you look at the video of Electra, TX's 1003 you'll see the chopper starts right away with the solenoids as that sirens RCM1 agastat was bypassed so the chopper isn't held up. czcams.com/video/-yUgVq04C_s/video.html
When is this siren tested?
Every Monday at 12:30 pm except holidays I believe.
Okay nice. I got a video of the ATIs being tested last Monday
Why is it behind a gate? Oil refinery?
Yes
Deer park's sister
Why so short?
Trains and sirens Part of Call Of The Sirens they used to do longer tests says Medusan980 I'm not not sure why they do such short tests now.
Complaints I bet.
Yep that might be the reason.
Sound like that silver street thunderbolt 1003
No it don’t
Is it remove?
No, Its still there! There is a video from snowpix - czcams.com/video/d271F-QZMkE/video.html in fact its some of the only functioning sirens around Sarnia right now the ATI's aren't working (most of them)
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 It is normal for those ATI sirens to not work
@@SSPWXR ATI isn't as good quality sirens as other brands like Federal Signal or Whelen Engineering and others
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 Correct
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 Bad news, the Thunderbolt I recorded has died.
Thats undulating hi lo
Yes, it is.
Undulating hi lo
just a 10 second blast that's it?
Yeah I wish it was longer they used to do it for 1 to 2 minutes but not anymore.
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 why is that do you think? i know a standard alert cycle runs for 3 minutes and same goes for Hi Lo. and tests usually run for just 30-60 seconds. how far away can you hear a thunderbolt on Hi Lo?
@@derekwall200 TrainsandSirens1 has a video of Silverstreet thunderbolt in a distance recording in hi lo if you wanna check that out.
@@SirensandThunderbolts1003 if i am right a thunderbolt 1003 tops out at 126 decibels @ 100 feet. and since all of the sound is directed forward from the horn you could probably hear it from 2.5 to 3 miles away on a clear windless day
@@derekwall200 Yeah
H
Nice!
Thanks I love Thunderbolts!
So Do I! Too Bad There Are Not Much Left In My State.
Counties have made a big $15,000 mistake when they can restore the thunderbolts and put new radios or Federal Controllers on them and they'd be good for another 10 to 15 years of service
Very nice!
