doggie diamonds was a teenage rapper in brooklyn and made beats, the little bastards was their name. biggie's mom still lived in the same house even after he blew up as a rapper, even when he died she still had the same phone number and same house. rappers back then weren't really that rich so they had a lot of ties in their communities. plus biggie was only professional for 3 years so he didnt live long enough to really reap the benefits of his career. mind you, when he died, he was bigger and sold more records than when he was alive. so the millions came after his death, he never lived to touch a million dollars. he would have once he started his own label but he died before it was manifested. just like big l died in the hood and all his homies were mad because so many people showed up at his funeral from the neighborhood...but they hated L and never supported him or bought his albums because he got put on by Bronx dudes, DITC. So Big L became more famous after death. His funeral was in the hood. Rappers had it rough in the 90's
