Also his Dad died before much money was made! That's just common sense. So please tell me, *How in the world* did you see it as a legitimate question to ask? It may have been filled with bitterness, strife, addiction and finger pointing. I am 48 years old and have NEVER met my Father. And what I will always remember is my Mom just did what she had to do. I grew up in the projects of Queens and it wasn't the prettiest environment, but my Mom never gave up. She could've easily said your Father should be doing xyz... I'm not sure if you know the meaning of the medical term, "misplaced anger." This young man's anger is justified and direct. It's not misplaced whatsoever. Is anger is at the right people. I'm very disappointed at KRS One for not looking out for the man's father who looked out for him. It was Scott La Rock who put KRS One on and no vise versa. He was providing counseling to KRS One and not vise versa. This is sad! I've been a KRS One supporter for years and this literal blew a whole in that. @@WeWokeNow I have to disagree with you, Friend. This is misplaced anger through and through. His anger is directed at KRS-ONE. Why? KRS-ONE is not his father and that's just the truth. We can go on and on about the relationship Scott and Kris had all day. And how Kris should've looked out for Scott's son. If he didn't, he didn't. Although, I have a hard time believing that he NEVER offered any kind of assistance to Scott's family. Sometimes things go on behind the scenes that children are not aware of and they get the abridged version of the story. It can be a cold world out here. Especially, when speaking of where someone's obligations should lie. There are times when people just don't show up like they should and that's a hard esson in life. Wow!!! Great interview. I wasn't expecting that. I just assumed he was good. I became a young man during the era of hip hop when groups like BDP, PE, Eric and Ra, reached their height(s). Ironically, the year after his father passed, '88 some would say it is arguably the best year in hip hop. Peep what albums were released that year.
"It takes a nation of millions to hold us back",
"The Great Adventures of Slick Rick",
    "Straight outta Compton,
    "Long Live the Kane",
    "Straight Out the Jungle",
    "Strictly Business",
    "Critical Beatdown",
    "Smoke some Kill",
    "Lyte as a Rock",
    "Follow the Leader",
    "In Full Gear",
    "Girls I got em locked",
    "Marley Marl in control",
    "Power",
    "The World's Greatest Entertainer",
    "2 Hype",
"Straight from the basement of Cooley High",
    "Original Stylin"
and "By All Means Necessary", are just a few. There are way too many to list here. But u get the point. All of Hip Hop mourned the day Scott LaRock passed. The 1st martyr of the artform. Being young, I thought it was all over. No more rap concerts. No more parties and clubs. I thought it was all over. Radio stations were looking for any excuse to remove rap music from their playlist. Venues were looking for any excuse to not allow Hip hop to be played or artists to perform on their premises. But as u can see, I was wrong. Just the following year alone, 1988, there were some timeless gems released and now 30 something years later, I find myself listening to the Griselda "WWCD" album. A classic. Scott LaRock Jr. mentioned Large Professor (one of my Top 5) and D-Nice (a Stand-up dude) showed him love. That totally fits D-Nice's character. I hope all is well in the end and somehow old wounds heal so perhaps Scott LaRock Jr. and KRS-One can work together in the future.

There is another side of KRS ONE which is a cold one. Him backing up Afrika Bambataa tells you so. Even though KRS doesn`t owe Scott Jr anything, you would think he would of looked out for Scott after his dad got murdered and Scott Sr was KR`s right hand man (out of principle). It makes you wonder how loyal Kris was to Scott Sr.

I love KRS One, he's always been dope to me but even back in the late 80's early 90's we all knew he was a hypocrite. Being a fan of someone doesn't stop you from criticising them and still liking them. Artists are still just human like the rest of us, there not perfect.

It’s hard to prosper with anger in your heart... he has let this go for his own well being. It’s not personal, it’s business.

Him saying that his father wasn't in the video, when it was shot in '88, and Scott LaRock died in '87, makes a lot of sense.
