Established in 1978, BeaverTails (Queues de Castor in French) are fried dough pastries, hand stretched to resemble beaver's tails, topped with sweet or savoury ingredients such as cinnamon, bananas, apples, hazelnut, maple, chocolate, Oreo, Skor or Reese's Pieces and have become an icon of Canadian cuisine. Originally founded in Ontario, the company is now headquartered in Montreal with 140 locations in six countries including the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico, France and Japan.

I've been living here for 10 years, this is the first time I heard of beaver tails but I don't have a sweet tooth maybe that's why lol ... try poutine that's the real deal!

I’m a US Citizen considering living in Montreal. I get monthly disability allowance from VA. How do I apply for permanent residence? I know 6 months is the max stay before I need a visa. I also have family that are canadien citizens, can they sponsor me?

Hi J4, I'm not from the USA but am also looking to immigrate to Montreal. Unfortunately, if you have some sort of disability, the Canadian government will reject your PR application. It's very insulting and discriminatory but that's how it is. They don't allow people with any chronic medical condition (or even old age) into the country because Canada has free healthcare and they don't want foreigners to abuse their tax funded healthcare system. Hope this helps.
