Gary Delaney jokes are a bit on the rude side of comedy.
The 'highlight' of the show was a giant yellow highlighter pen. A lot of the jokes depend on common British knowledge and sayings in order to get fully, but there are plenty enough for everyone.
Its quick fire.

The Sheffield "Can't do Wednesday" joke works because there is a team called Sheffield Wednesday...

Tommy Cooper is the king of one liners, whilst doing magic tricks.
I always said that Tim Vine is his spiritual successor because his own show is full of silly props that he uses in a similar fashion.

One liners? You might enjoy Milton Jones.
Tim Vine is the only one-line comedian I can watch a whole show of. His own shows are full of props that really keep the routine going. I always thought of him as the spiritual successor to Tommy Cooper who also used props in his routines alongside his one-liners. Btw, I think you did very well watching this because a lot of Tim's jokes are distinctly British.
Oh yes - some of his classics with music and/or props: "Pen Behind The Ear," "My Marvellous Metronome," "Always Makes Me Laugh," "Flag Hippo" .... and the sublime "Ventriloquist."
That's very high praise, comparing him to Tommy Cooper.
My 11 year old loves him we saw him live last month good clean comedy and very clever
Steven Wright is another one-liner comedian
Tim used to host a show back in the 1990s called "Fluke." It was entirely luck-based and it was crazy as hell.
the "the big Highlight of the show" was a big Highlighter Pen.
This is what Tim Vine does, clean and corny one liners. If you want less clean and not corny, Gary Delaney is your man. Milton Jones & Canada's Stewart Francis are also good and are in-between Tim and Gary in terms of cleanliness and corniness.
Milton Jones (UK), Stu Francis (Canadian) and Steven Wright (US) are all great one liners.
The Charleston athletic line is a play on my team, Charlton Athletic and the Sheffield one is on a team called Sheffield Wednesday..... Both clubs are in the 3rd division of English football so you don't hear about the outside of the UK but both have been Premier league in the past.

Tim vine holds the record for the most jokes told in an hour - 499 jokes his memory on his jokes is just amazing. Have a look at his 'pen behind the ear' act it's hilarious.

You prob didn't get a few as they were def directed at English people, for example when he said, when can you manage a sheffield football team, he replied I can't do Wednesday, (there are 2 teams in sheffield, United and Wednesday, a play on words. He is very talented, I saw him on a chat show, and the quick one liner jokes still came!
