In this video, I demonstrate the proper method to refurbish ignition spark problems. Many cars, trucks and motorcycles have them and they are easy to fix.

This is SO great. Never disappoints! I once spilled half a jar of sparks and totally forgot I was charging an open forklift battery in the garage, that hydrogen gas is no joke!

Your videos are so freaking funny. No telling how many mislead people are actually out there. It would be great to see people attempt at trying to doing it the way you show it in your videos that would be funny.
I struggled to get the filler-caps off my plugs initially, however by holding the plug firmly in a vise & twisting the cap clockwise with a large vise-grip, they loosened up great. I coated them in anti-seize so next time I refill them they should just be hand-tight. The anti-seize also did a great job of ensuring less sparks spilled when refilling as I couldn't find my small funnel & had to free-hand it.

I have been told the Kawasaki sparks flow the fastest, the Honda sparks last the longest, and the Harley sparks are chrome colored and make the most noise.

Using the freezer method is a trick I learned a long time ago working on illuminated solar panels. It also works when replacing the power bands in your dirt bike, those things are such a pain trying to get in the right spot.

It's really for maritime applications, sold under the brand name "Navy Seal"!
Did you edit in the spray can sounds, or did you make them with your mouth?
Frozen sparks work the best. If you need to freeze your sparks just mix a quart of gas with acetone 50/50 and pour the sparks in. You will see the sparks freeze almost immediately.

I have a couple questions one will lead to the other, I watched the video where you replaced a cdi box with a bouch ignition system, can the same be done on an 83 suzuki gs550l and if so where do the 2 wires connect to the coil(s)? Thanks in advance
Hey Ichiban Moto, Nickeltown carries Spark fluid. Do you think they will have bottles of smoke for the Lucas electronics on my Triumph? Quality smoke is hard to find. I've seen it on EBay, but that was a couple of years ago.
I have noticed that Lucas spring loaded all their connectors so they come apart when riding. Can I replace them with regular connectors? I think they do that so you will change the smoke on a regular basis. We know that fresh smoke works better than the older stale smoke.
i will have to give them a call. i see Lucas replacement smoke once in awhile
I am going to use Nickel Town Customs sparks next time! I tried those dodgy Yamaha sparks, but they were no where near this energetic as the ones from Nickel Town Customs!
Will this method work on a bike using "wasted spark" ignition systems? Do I need need to put in twice as many sparks before closing up the plugs?

Volgnit Yes, but make sure you get the correct ones. Many Ducatis require Monster sparks!

When I've perfected my beard I'm gonna buy one of those t-shirts so I can look badass while out on my cafe racer.
I decided to spend more time on my cafe racer build and also decided id go for the platinum spark upgrade for more power. I harvested the platinum sparks from the wifes wedding ring and the bench grinder and i couldnt believe the amazing result!
.........she divorced me when she caught me filling the 2nd plug so now i have every day free to work on my build.... WIN!
i'll see if nickeltown sells them. i can't think of anything with platinum around here to make my own.
Ichiban Moto surely with the profit from T shirt sales the bank has issued you with a platinum card already? You can harvest the platinum from the magnetic strip with some platinum grade diamond paper.....

I see you have used the orange spark !!! are these better than the blue ones found in the stomachs of blue bottle flies ? ia m having trouble making the blue bottles excrete the sparks, and just wonder if maybe these orange sparks are better or inferior. I di try getting orange sparks from vigoursly shaking a bottle of lucozade sport, but just got covered in crap when I took the lid off. I was wearing protection ( durex) of course for safety. but now I know what brand you use for the sparks i will get some of that. just so glad you have done this. oh by the way dont try catching the sparks off the arc welder, they just make the pistons stick to the bores, obviously act like a flux capacitate and re-weld themselves...

There were a LOT of sparks coming your jug of sparks. If you freeze them twice that should calm them down enough to get them in without too much trouble. Then blow on the tip as you're reassembling your plug
I'm struggling to get the European Sparks! Would using American Sparks hurt my Chinese Marley Mavidson Sporkster 12,42cc ? Thanks in advance Mr Ichiban.
Just make sure you prefamulate the combustulator to the proper Imperial specifications: 1.625 grunts past over-unity.

Electric bikes use glow plugs, not spark plugs, so you need to fill them with the luminophore.
Some e-bikes do use sparks, but they're a different formulation. It's actually really hard to get them if you're not friends with a vegan who's willing to put his kale-wool beard to a belt sander for you.

Won't the sparks expand as the engine heats up and blow the top out of the spark plug if you overfill? Sorry, I wasn't thinking straight, I think I've figured it out. The coil works as a catch tank doesn't it?

Recklessly overfilling the spark generators can cause all sorts of troubles on older bikes. I wouldn't recommend it if your carburettor isn't lambda controlled.
