- (2/2) Edited Reaction to TAXI DRIVER (1976) for May's CZcams Movie of the Month! This movie was sooo crazy! It definitely messed with my head a bit. But again, I'm glad you guys picked this one because there were so many pop-culture references that I had ZERO IDEA ABOUT! I hope you enjoy my reaction to this one!

Martin Scorsese has two brief cameos. He first appears as "guy sitting on step" in the background when Travis first sees Betsy. He then later portrays the cab fare who spies on his cheating wife.
A dark and violent film that left me stunned the first time I saw it. The scene of Travis building the slide for the gun hidden in his sleeve has always caused controversy. Networks wouldnt show, it was edited out in many countries, for some reason it seemed to really frighten people in authority.
Today, we would call Travis a mass shooter. The character is essentially the same sort of personality as Travis. I work in the news industry and I write stories about these types of people all the time, this movie is a very accurate portrayal of the narcissist psychopath.
