Fiji is definitely improving in 15s. 7s has been Fiji's bread and butter for winning, so it's cool to see them doing better in 15s as well!
Fiji has also reached the Semi Final in the Rugby League. But they only come short in the Union RWC. This is because of the Officiating that WR provides😅
Fiji tend to play like the old school 70's Welsh side. Open attacking play. We have learned that in the modern game the breakdown and slowing the game down with world class flankers is the way to play the modern game. Fiji has added that to there game. I love how N/Zealand play but I predict in the next 4 yrs Fiji will beat them. OMG imagine that... amazing.... Respect from Wales.

I agree I do think Wales has a chance to reach the quarters but I think Fiji has a good chance to shock the world in the Semi and maybe reach the final. Ive always viewed Fiji as a sleeping giant in 15s rugby...they definitely got the talent and potential and we see glimpses of that now and then...they can do it!!

Apart from the fact that Wales were in control for 60 odd minutes of the game and lost it with the replacements not doing well. Wales won because they scored more points and tackled their hearts out.
Why does everybody love Fiji, they had a forward pass leading up to a try. they made several no arms tackles, they constantly went off their feet at mauls. Everyone wants to show the parts of the game that Fiji had an advantage.

Fiji unfortunately are nowhere near as strong without Caleb Muntz, his goal kicking is a huge miss for them too
Exactly. If muntz were there they would’ve won. Fiji were too afraid to go for penalty kicks and instead went for line outs most of the time due to them now having a good kicker on the side without muntz.
Agreed...Teti Tela is good but Muntz is really the ace kicker of the team...if he had played he would have definitely taken on some penalty kicks.

I will add that its all good looking at what Fifi do well..... maybe looking at what they dont do well will be more productive. I get that we can look at the ref and it is relevant in the game. But when Wales had the ball they was more clinical and that was the difference between the both sides.

Fiji team can win the World Cup but the only concern is the referee and TMO officials.All we ask for is fairness and integrity from Rugby officials.
I think there's been too much emphasis on the ref. The Fijian yellow was for cynically collapsing an attacking lineout maul that stopped a try. Wales had three penalties for tight offside calls near the try line before the ref issued a team warning. They then didn't commit another offence until Domachowski's offside and the ref rightly awarded a yellow. Maybe we need closer analysis of this too, otherwise people will continue go, kneejerk-like, to dark places and conspiracy theories etc...

Unfortunately unless Fiji beat Australia they'll be on an early flight home. Can they beat the Wallabies? They'll have to bring their top game and cut out the mistakes and number of penalties they conceded against Wales to achieve that. They will know going into that match that it's "last chance saloon" so that may motivate them to put in an even better performance than against Wales.

Yeah, I do agree with you. I'm a Fijian live in Australia 🇦🇺. Wallabies is a funny term cos they can change their movements in 5mnts . They does it to fiji the last world cup. Fiji was all over the Wallabies, and the Wallabies change their game plan to bit my country. @@zkravonokula1 To overtake Wales in second spot Fiji will need at least 14 points, that means at least 2 points Vs Australia, 5 points vs Portugal and 5 points Vs Georgia. That's a tough ask so realistically Fiji's only way into the quarter finals is to beat Australia and despite their great performance against Wales the Wallabies will be even tougher opposition.
The Fiji Team in this RWC is a total different team altogether. They are more fitter then other Fiji Teams.

At this rate Fiji are building a strong case for inclusion in The Rugby Championship, and if that happens it will only be a matter of time until we have 4 Southern Hemisphere teams in RWC semi finals. Wouldn't that be embarassing for Northern Hemisphere rugby? 😆

They played a year in Super Rugby in NZ and about time. they were able to gel week in week out .
This playing top sides in NZ and Aussie cleaned up their game
Aus has just suffered major blows with the loss of Skelton & Tupou. Slipper & Kerevi are also not 100% as they have niggling injuries. This is Fiji's best chance to notch their first win over Australia.
There needs to be consistency in officiating. It's always been the case against Tier 2 Pacific nations.
