As a Pierce the veil fan not just cause they are trendy on TikTok It’s rude someone else wanted to go to that show and didn’t get a ticket cause someone wanted to see 15 seconds of a song and leave
If I want to see one band then leave, that's my right. I don't care if it's rude to the band or bands that I don't see! They get some of the money from the ticket.
@@CommentRodent ahh I see. Still, that is how it is. It's no different than if one was not able to go due to something coming up. Being rude is irrelevant
Nah tik tok kids are wild. I saw this at another artists concert where the crowd literally knew 15 seconds of his song and then just went totally silent while he had the mike to the crowd for them to sing. He just laughed at all of them and kept preforming. Actually sad. Kids these days are absolutely screwed attention span-wise. Can't even listen to a full song, holy fucking shit.
@@dellyluna6859 actually he's speaking the facts. It's good that PTV is gaining some publicity attention but I don't like that it's coming from these "tiktok kids" because they are kinda the worst audience.
I can admit, I am a HUGE Pierce the Veil fan. I coincidentally got gifted a ticket for the True Power tour to go see Pierce the Veil specifically, and I didn’t really know any of the other bands but I atleast had the decency to look up all the other guest bands (and I Prevail of course, they are the ones hosting the Tour) and listened to their queue. Thanks to that tour I am now a HUGE I Prevail fan as well. I loved the performance, and I can’t wait for the next time I see them.
i don’t listen to i prevail, but i still didn’t leave. i personally really liked their performance. I also saw so many people pull out their phone on that “one part” of king for a day. Personally, I loved hold on till may even more and it’s just crazy how people just left
Exactly. I would 100% stay even if I didn't know a band's music. The live vibe is amazing. I saw slipknot earlier this year with wage war and in this moment. Every single act killed it. I didn't just avoid the show until slipknot came on. That's disrespectful
I saw quiet riot and throw the fight live with my friend a few months ago. I had never heard any throw the fight before. It was also my first concert. Throw the fight was so good. I’m a huge fan of metalcore and 80s stuff, so it was a perfect concert.
Honestly I'm not sure why people bother going to shows when they don't like the main act. I don't care if your favorite band is opening for the main act, it genuinely doesn't matter to me just stay home and wait till that band goes on their own tour and get a full show for full price Quick edit cause I sounded douchey: absolutely did not mean that you're not allowed to go to a show if the main act isn't your favorite ever, or even if you don't normally listen to their stuff that's fine too. But at least want to see the show, not just a piece of it to record and say "oh yeah I saw them live" later.
You're there already just watch the whole show. The show that I went to half the crowd left after ptv. The rest of us that stayed wanted an encore from I prevail and they delivered plus Eric joined the mosh pit lol. They jumped back on Stage with Gasoline it was fucking awesome!
yo, Gasoline is FIRE. that's my jam for when I've had a crap day at work and all the patients have been pissing me off, cuz it just makes me feel better
Honestly I'm very bugged if that is why people are showing up! It takes away the chance for fans of both PTV and I Prevail to see the show. Yes they are entitled to whatever they want with their tickets but god I would be beyond mad if I missed out on seeing them live for that stupid of a reason
The problem is the countless real fans that couldn't afford asinine resale tickets because of these tik tok scum bags who used to tell 'emo and scene' kids to kill themselves for listening to these bands. They are doing something wrong and it's sickening. I'm so glad I was in a position to go to the Boston show all 4 bands were incredible
I agree! Especially if true fan wanted to get tickets with their fans bc they knew the band not just 15sec song 😢 They couldn’t get the ticket bc someone buys it for only “king for a day” leaving 😔
Fr people who came for only 15 seconds JUST because it was trendy dont rly deserve to be there. Like real fans would apreciate more. But whatever they laid for the ticket(and wasted it) Like seriously? Losers man
I bet that feels shitty for the bands too, like imagine being I prevail and seeing the crowd that perice the Vail has and then coming out and seeing a good majority of them gone and if ur perice the Vail imagine how shitty it must feel to preform king for a day and then a bunch of "fans" start leaving 😢
@@radandpaisley yeah you can literally find hundreds of videos of the venue being empty when I Prevail comes on, and videos of people just standing there unentertained till PTV starts King for a Day, so they can get their tik tok clip, but Im def just making this up
There's nothing wrong with not necessarily liking the entire lineup, or not even knowing the entire lineup, but me personally, I can't imagine leaving a show halfway through. I paid for the ticket, I'mma use the whole ticket. I feel like they should at least wait through the first few I Prevail songs, so see if they like them. If they do, and they decide to stay, awesome! If they don't, then no harm no foul. You gave it a shot, and it wasn't for you.
I was there solely for PTV (been a fan since Yeah Boy and Doll Face dropped on Myspace lol) and was planning on leaving after their set but I'm so glad I stayed for I Prevail! They killed the show and I'm definitely a new fan
If you know fans of hardcore metal ask them what they think. My hardcore friends go to shows where there’s like 5 bands in the lineup but they’re only there for 1 or 2. They show up late and leave early to shows ALL THE TIME it’s wild, but that’s the only way they can see their favorite bands
if you live near a venue, some of them sell season passes. I guess that's the only scenario I can imagine going through the headache of parking at a concert venue just to go for only a short time 🤣
I have been a major fan of pierce the viel since 2009. Still love them to this day! Heard of I prevail only because of a friend and i feel like I have to show some support to I prevail since they are from a neighboring city near me. Long story short, I really do like I prevail, but peirce the veil got me through middle school and high school so I know my loyalty
I’m curious to know if these people have explored I Prevails music, they have a very good catalogue from my own personal opinion and I’m not sure if people are just leaving without trying or not but I’d wish they’d give the band a chance
they have a great catalogue, but the setlist for this tour is only new songs with 2-3 old songs sprinkled in… and the new album was not that good. ive seen both bands multiple times before and would love to see i prevail again but would never pay a dollar to see them play the setlist they’ve chosen. so i don’t blame ptv fans for leaving
The first time I saw/listened to their stuff was, funny enough, when they were the openers for PTV. Their stuff should totally appeal to PTV fans, it’s all pretty great
I went to the show on september 9th, as for ive been listening to ptv for over a decade now, and was literally saving my first concert experience for them, after they performed, I went to wait in the merch line, and noticed the significant increase in open space, and it was truly unfortunate as for I prevail was pretty decent live. Im nit a fan of theirs, but like when I tell people about the concert, I mention how well they performed.
Been a fan of PTV for over a decade. They have a loyal fan base who have missed them. I saw them open for I prevail, I was shocked that they were openers. I ended up leaving when they finished their set because it was hot asf in the venue and I didn’t even know who I prevail was… I just wanted to see my fav band make their comeback.
"I didn't even know who I Prevail was" so you had time to purchase the ticket, but not to look up who the literal headliner was? I don't care how big of a fan you are, this is a big concert no no. If you're not going to stick around for the whole show, just don't go. You're at a venue, it's going to get hot. You're speaking as if this is your first concert, which, if it is, don't ever do that again lol
@@alp9013 My comment was crystal clear. I never threatened her or anyone else over what they do with their own money, but I do reserve the right to have an opinion about it, so I shared it. You're trying way too hard to have a "gotcha" moment. Everyone knows you don't go to a concert for the openers. You go to the concert to enjoy all of the bands and music. The headliner deserves to be appreciated, it's THEIR show. Without them, you wouldn't have had PTV there. That's my opinion, and a lot of other concert go-ers opinions. 🤷
@@kailathefox Rather than acting holier than thou and pretending it's about "respecting the artist," why don't you actually admit you are trying to police your perspective on other people. The only disrespect happening is the price of tickets at these shows that prevent the "real" fans from going.
@@alp9013 What the f**k are you even talking about? You're looking way too deep into my comment, dude. Go back to Redd!t if you want to argue. The tickets weren't expensive for that tour either, so I don't know what you're going on about. ScaIpers have always existed and will continue to exist, that doesn't change the fact the tickets were sold for GA under 60$.
It's unfortunate for sure, but my thoughts are while it's nice to have them performing at all it goes to show that they're kind of too big as a band to be an opener. Maybe I'm not as well versed in concerts but I thought smaller bands opening were more typical for this reason to get their name out there, and bigger groups if they do open are more going to performances as a two parter with the main band, so I more question the odd choice to open. Although I'm sure after a hiatus both the band and the fans will be grateful and take as much as they can do, whatever their circumstances may be
Its just how it's done in the genre. This was I prevail tour for their new album. We could also say fit for a king is bigger in the community than I prevail, but they took a back seat to help push their friends new album. Just how things are done around.
I think PtV opened because after being gone for many years, they wouldn't have the same fan base. the emo punk scene isn't big anymore, and most young people dont know them. So they thought they wouldn't be able to carry a show by themselves, but they were wrong. People showed up just for them and it was an amazing time.
It’s funny because I did the opposite for I Prevail. They opened for Pierce the Veil on an earlier tour and I went just for I Prevail and left during Pierce the Veil’s set. I did stay for a couple of their songs and ended up becoming a fan, but I left early to beat the rush of people leaving
I was one of the people that just went for PTV then left. I would've stayed for the whole thing but I was with 2 friends and we were all tired, and none of us listen to I Prevail, so they convinced me to go home. Honestly felt like it was a bad idea for ptv to open, they're just as big, if not bigger than I Prevail. Most of the t-shirts I saw were ptv t-shirts, lol. They've been my favorite band for 3 years, definitely didn't just go for the tik tok trend.
This absolutely happened in Lubbock Texas, it was wild. Half the stadium emptied. We stayed of course. Fan of both.. but we did drive 5hrs to see Pierce The Veil
Funny because i actually saw them live, and yes a lot of people left after Pierce the veil. The show was amazing, Fit for a king was really good as well. However about half the people that showed up were actually fans of PtV, its more of people missing the band and going just to see them live. I did feel bad for I prevail because it shows that if PtV hadn't been on the line up, people wouldn't have shown up.
I think if PTV had been the headliner people would have been there the whole time and it wouldn't have looked as bad for I Prevail as it did. I feel bad for them because their tour is looking like a PTV tour instead and that's not fair to all their hard work.
You're right, actual I Prevail fans would have showed up instead and made them feel wanted. :/ as someone who is a fan of both bands, whoever left after the ptv set, ya moms a hoe.
I remember quite a few years back I had tickets to go see PTV, MIW, and ADTR, and I was so damn HYPED about that show, and right before time for it the show got canceled. I was heartbroken. So disappointed
right? i discover so many new bands this way. granted, I always enjoy shows, but not every band that performs is my cup of tea. But I can say that with the exception of 1 show that was bad and a handful of shows where I'm actually familiar with the WHOLE lineup, I ALWAYS find a new band who's stuff I enjoy (enough that I look them up later). In fact, I discovered Fit For a King BECAUSE they opened for PTV/I Prevail. And I just saw them again last week on their headlining tour, because they were that good. Like also, who doesn't want their monies worth? I'm listening to every damn second, cuz tickets aint cheap, and I wanna feel like I've gotten every cent's worth of music
@bottomofastairwell for real dude! I saw Fit for a King at warped tour on the 2nd to last tour and had me hooked! Same with Inferi, who toured with Shadow of Intent...they came and chilled after their set and we all had beers watching SOI..so cool to meet them
I'm just old and wish concerts didn't start so late. I went to see evanescence and Korn last year, but left before Korn because they didn't even take the stage until nearly 11 pm. Doors open at 5 and you have to occupy yourself for 6 hours, in the humid heat, where drinks and food cost $74543 and you're not allowed to bring your own, and the line for the awful toilet is 12 miles long. Then I gotta pay $200 just to get a babysitter that can stay late. Super fun lmao
Pierce the Veil was such a fun concert. I went back in 2017. They toured with Emarosa & Sum 41. Older people went for sum 41 and left immediately before pierce the veil. So i wanna say it’s common, but idk. I normally stay for all bands because why not??? I love good vibes
I only bought a ticket to see ptv for this tour, they canceled at the house of blues so I left. Been a huge fan from the get go so when I had an opportunity to see them after YEARS of nothing, you bet I was gonna try to see em... 😢😢😢
I discovered them when they opened for PTV/I Prevail. And I never would've found them if I hadn't come for the whole show. Now I'm a fan, and I'm taking 2 other people with me when they're in my area again later this summer
This was happening during the Trinity Of Terror tour after Ice Nine Kills would perform. (The bands would be in a different order each part of the tour usually) I believe to prevent this (not entirely sure) they made the band go last so Motionless In White & Black Veil Brides could also have the crowd as it doesn't feel nice at all to suddenly just have a small crowd compared to the other act.
i mean, i get that, because I really wanted to hear king for a Day (but that's cuz i've been listening to them for forever. never did leave that emo "phase"). But I also wanted to see Fit For a King (who opened for them), and I Prevail, who i freaking LOVE. and honestly, it was disheartening to see how many people left after PTV. I felt so bad for I Prevail
@@bottomofastairwell EXACTLY! 😢 THAT HAS TO BE SO DISHEARTENING FOR THEM....💔 ALTHOUGH I'M NOT GOING TO LIE, I'D ABSOLUTELY LOVE HOW EASY IT WOULD BE TO GET TO THE FRONT ROW! 😅
As a ptv fan myself, I think I prevail is a really good band, and is awful that those leavers did not gave them a chance and just left after the king for a day 15 seconds
I don’t understand the point of going to a show and leaving before the headliner unless you actually don’t enjoy them. How could you have a ticket and turn down MORE live music just because you don’t know all the headliners music? Bizarre
I don't understand the point in wasting money on the ticket at all, just wait till the opener has their own tour and go then. Get your full show then and stop taking space that other fans actually want now Altho that's also hard to do if PtV don't tour, idk I don't listen to them or know them as a band so that one is up to them.
Because they don't like the music, they just wanna keep in with the popular crowd, I'm 17 years old and it's everyone that's around my age doing this, they say they love certain bands and then they turn around and do this stuff, it's only because they're trending, it's the same as master of puppets by Metallica, everybody "loves" Metallica now but when I show them kill em all of ride the lightning they say that they don't like it and that it's not Metallica, someone went as far as to say Metallica had only made master of puppets for the show, it irritates me because then I go out with my shirts on after going to the show and people say I'm a fake too, when I listen to the stuff
My girl is a die hard for PTV and in turn has made me one too. This is when they were touring with The Used. We left immediately after because yea they’ve been on hiatus for several years and we wanted just to see them. We saw them in Austin at the H‑E‑B Center it was fun! But yea I hope TikTok people aren’t just showing up to get a clip just to say they’ve seen them and aren’t really enjoying the moment. I didn’t record a single thing cause I wanted to really enjoy these guys live! It was my first time and they didn’t disappoint
One of the coolest shows I ever saw was a band called My Ticket Home. They were, or may possibly still be signed to Rise records. Anyway, they played this little club in my hometown and it was a venue that held somewhere between 500-750 people. They had no supporting acts on the road with them but they had 2 local opening bands. A bunch of the crowd of my 150ish people were only there as friends/relatives of the opening acts and all left after the local openers played. When My Ticket Home hit the stage, there was 21 of us left in the crowd. But yet we still blew the roof off of the place and it is still one of the most awesome sets I ever saw. All 21 of us gave that band every bit of effort and attention and they absolutely appreciated every second of it too. Honestly felt kind of bad for them but it was an amazing experience.
i saw them with Ice Nine Kills and Black Veil Brides. And while I was mostly there for motionless, I stayed for the whole show, and I'm so glad I did. Cuz I9K KILLED IT
Personally me and my friend have been fans of ptv since we were 10 years old. We went to the ptv and i prevail tour and absolutely loved ptv. We stayed for the entire show but really only there for ptv. So I understand why those people are leaving because we should have too
Just saw I Prevail with Godsmack. I prevail is up there in my top 3 favorite bands. The people who left missed out. I Prevail is an awesome band all around
I remember seeing i prevail when they were touring their first album. The singer literally had probably his first fresh wrapped tattoo during their set, in a venue eith maybe 70 people. Im impressed they got this big even though i havent listened to them much
They paid for the ticket so they’re allowed to leave whenever. It does suck that people who actually wanted to see I prevail may not have had the chance though.
to me, it's the same thing as paying for food at a restaurant, eating 2 bites and then leaving without the food. yeah, you're allowed to do whatever you want, but it's just stupid not to take the leftovers. that's a waste of money. I always stay cuz i wanna get my monies worth. But also, it would feel disrespectful to me to just leave and not even give other artists a chance. They work so hard to put on shows, and touring is grueling. So why not honor that work and stay. Worst case scenario, you didn't really care for it. But best case, you discover a brand new band and even more music to enjoy
This exact thing happened on the Trinity Of Terror tour in Albany NY!!! Atreyu, INK, and MIW played, but when BVB took the stage about half of the people left
I would literally DO ANYTHING for a ticket to see them it honestly breaks my heart that half of those “fans” where only there for king for a day and claim they are true fans but only know like 30s of the song when people who are REAL fans can’t see the show because of all these tickets that were practically waisted on this..but I WISH I could see them but they are in Europe rn 😢sadly[PTV🔛🔝
Pretty sad, I love going to concert to hear new bands, and that’s how I even found out about I prevail, was from them opening for pierce the veil in 2016.
I went but only for PTV because I’m a diehard PTV fan (been a fan of the band since I was in 4th grade so like 2007-08) but I stayed cause of my bestie who’s a diehard I prevail fan. The amount of “fans” that only knew the TikTok part of king for a day and nothing else was CRAZY like I got side eyed so hard the whole show for knowing every song and it really made me sad cause none of the other shows were like that before king for a day blew up on tiktok
The exact thing was happening on the Trinity of Terror tour. People were leaving before Black Veil Brides and Andy was even thanking the people who did stay. As someone who didn't have access to the tickets because they kept getting sold out where I live, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. You don't have to like all the bands but don't be the asshole who leaves. You might hear a song you like from the band you didn't give a chance to. I remember when concerts/festivals were to find new bands and singers. (I remember watching old warped prep videos where people were recommending listening to new bands while there). Idk why that isn't the case anymore
yeah. Honestly, to me it's a respect thing. And I've found SO MANY new bands that I just freaking LOVE because i stay for the whole show. Worst case scenario, you don't really care for it. But honestly, i've only been to ONE show that was genuinely bad, and that particular show didn't have openers. it was just the one band. Every other time, i've discovered at least one new band i hadn't heard of before. I might not always love EVERY band, but I always find something new to enjoy. Happened recently with Rivers of Nihil. I'd never even heard of them, but I was ENTHRALLED their entire set. I sat there with the biggest dopey smile on my face cuz they were so good and then promptly pulled them up on spotify for the car ride back, lol
I’ve wanted to see PTV since I was a teenager and never thought I would get the chance. So yes that was the main reason I went. But I did stay for the whole show, I Prevail and FFAK put on a good performance, it was a great time. I just honestly didn’t know who they were.
see, but that's the thing. If you stay the whole time, you might find a new band that you like. That's one of my favorite things about shows. I go to shows all the time where I only know one band playing cuz I wanna see that one band. And damn near every time, I go home with some new shit i just discovered playing on spotify cuz I found more music to enjoy. Glad you stayed and got to hear FFAK and IP, cuz they're both excellent
I saw PTV in Boston back in November and they were not the first band up, as well, the venue was PACKED the entire night even as I was leaving. There were two bands before PTV. I personally bought my ticket to go and see PTV. I listened and had a good time leading up to PTV, but had little interest in staying for I Prevail, not because I wouldn’t want to listen, but because I had seen three solid bands, and I wanted to beat the sporting event traffic. The entire venue was packed the whole night. Wondering if it’s locational as to why people are leaving.
When i played my first show with my band, lots of people showed up just for us and then left (we were opening) and then i felt so bad for the rest of the lineup when more then half the crowd left. I simply see it as a bummer but yall do what you want
I went to the SJ show and I've been a fan for 12yrs or so now. But it was definitely a different type of crowd with a lot of young kids. After PTV got off stage hella people either left or were in line for merch. It was the longest merch line I've ever been in for them and it didn't move so I dipped early! Would've stayed to see I Prevail but was recovering from WWWY lol. I should also say that I bought the tickets when they first went on sale. But the scalpers were wild and reselling for $200-$300 which is insane for a ballroom venue.
I bought tickets to see Motionless in White with my best friend. Initially, It was just to see them since I wasn’t a huge fan of Black Veil Brides and never heard of Ice Nine Kills (at the time). However, after the concert, I gained a new respect for BVB and became Obsessed with INK. The fact that people probably didn’t even give I Prevail a try is insane
I mean, I get it, King for a Day was like the first PTV song I listened to, and it was by total chance, not TikTok, I swear, and yes, the bridge is awesome, but I think if you go to the concert, you COULD leave whenever you want, but the point of the experience is to be there, and if you don't know the headliner or opener or a few of the songs they play, that's how you get introduced to new music. I personally got introduced to Midtown when I saw My Chem In concert. Knew every MCR song they played, but I had never heard of Midtown, and now I love them. Let yourself experience new music, guys.
Crazy. I did discover pierce the veil from king for a day, I won’t lie. But I didn’t just take those 15 seconds and go. I actually memorized the entire rest of the song. Then a few others, and even an album or two. I actually really like that band now. It’s crazy how some people don’t even commit to the things they discover.
Saw iPrevail live in PA when they first came about, the world alive, and we came as Roman's played before them. I loved every second of it, and iPrevail doesn't get the attention they deserve.
yooooo pierce the veil was a think before TikTok they won awards before TikTok. TikTok only made like 2 songs trendy but besides that ppl leaving after PTV’s set isn’t new… they’re just a really good band and some ppl buy tickets for a specific band not both. THATS A REAL THING
There are plenty of shows ive bought tickets to, was there for the whole undercard, and dipped a few songs into the headliner. And one of the times i did that, was for i prevail.
i love pierce the veil and have been to one of their concerts and i do listen to i prevail but only a few songs and i get wanting to leave after the artists you came for leave but at least be there for half of i prevails set to get your moneys worth and show respect for the artists
right? I'm there from start to finish. I wanna see the little tiny openers no one cares about and discover a new band before they blow up. I wanna see the headliner absolutely kill it. And I wanna see everyone in between. I wanna support all the bands, even if that show is the only time i listen to their music and I don't check them out after. While I'm there, I'm a fan. plus, tickets ain't cheap, and I wanna get my monies worth
I won’t lie, in the few smaller shows I’ve been to, I’ve left before the headliner. The only time I can remember doing this, it was a logistics thing, if I stay for a headliner that idk, I miss the train and get home at 8AM the next day.
You are correct that an individual is free to do what they want, however I now heavily regret every time I’ve left a show early. I stupidly left before breaking Benjamin came out at a small theater show because I didn’t know who they were and I just wanted to see the opener, and since then I’ve actually gotten into them, and now they basically only play arenas. I also left a show before blessthefall came out, and now they’re not a band anymore. Sure, I’ve seen some boring bands play now that I don’t leave early anymore, but you never know when watching a set could end up being a valuable experience
first concert i went to was pierce the veil headlining with hands like houses opening and woe is me playing in between. 2013 and the ticket was only £7, train fare was £7.50 and i had back to back english gcse's the next morning at 9am and had to sit them hungover on 3 hours sleep and still passed them both. worth every penny i spent. if someone hasnt seen them live yet i'd recommend it, and i prevail would probaby be worth sticking around for but since i havent seen them live yet i cant say for sure. tiktok can suck my elder emo dangle berries i've been down for this shit for over a decade now
When I go to concerts and there's bands playing that I either never heard of or listened to I always stay and listen or show up at the start of the concert to listen to the openers. I paid to the whole show so I want to watch and I never know when I'll find new music or bands that I like that I could have missed out on
Bro people did the same thing with Riff fest this weekend in Michigan. I Prevail was the headliner and bad omens played right before them. Now it was a big venue so it didn’t really look like a ton of people left unless you were at the top of the hill, but still, the amount of people I saw going down those stairs only to not come back up was insane.
This happened at a concert with motionless in white, Killswitch engage, and lamb of god. It got rain delayed and when they announced motionless in white wasn't playing, about 100 TikTok kids threw a fit and left.
I do this all the time. If I'm not into the headliner, leaving early is great. No rush, no traffic, etc. However, I love both of these bands, and they both killed live last I saw them.
Who the heck would show up to see ptv and leave after 15 seconds? That’s crazy and sucks for people who love them and missed out on a ticket..they’re amazing. I saw them Halloween before last with I Prevail, Fit For A King and Stand Atlantic. I had never listened to the other bands but I still stay. I sang along to every PTV song lol and really liked Stand Atlantic and “Doomed” by I Prevail
Went to the made to destroy tour back in ‘16 to see them, Iprevail and neck deep play in Rochester and this ain’t a “TikTok kid” issue it’s been happening for a while. PTV was the headliner than so they played last but the venue got PACKED as they were getting set to go on, like easily another 1500+ people came in just to see them. I get why it sucks for the guys in Iprevail but this is what happens when you let the biggest artist go first they should’ve seen this coming from a mile away
I don’t blame them at all, I looked up Pierce the Veil tickets and found I Prevail and almost bought one until I realized that PTV was just opening. I’ve been a long time fan of PTV and just never really got into I Prevail.
I waited 6 years to finally see ptv, and when you’re in the middle of Chicago you want to get out of the parking lot smoothly. That’s my reason. Also got Covid from that concert
The band is coming back to my town with blink 182 next year and I definitely wanna go see them again. But I’m not gonna leave just like that when I paid good money for the concert.
I want to have a chance to have a ticket to their show, but I am unable to for personal reasons. I discovered them back in 2014 and been listening to their music since and love all their albums. Disgusting to see people waste their lives like that after 2 amazing bands are on set infront of them. Didn't deserve their tickets
Same thing happened with papa roach at a concert I went to Falling in reverse played and a bunch of people left after the finished. Floor was half what it was and stands had empty seats when papa roach took the stage.
Tbh as a big ptv fan it doesn't bother me if you were there for a TikTok then get ur fame Ig. But then again I didn't try to get a ticket (cuz I'm too shy at concerts) so idk how it feels to see people who got tickets before you leaving so early
It happened with motionless in white the venue was packed to see them yet the headliner beartooth had like half the audience, its a strange world and it takes a ticket from someone aha 😂
This stuff is still happening, I suppose months later. The Used and PTV were headlining the tour. PTV used to go first, but after the same thing was happening, where people would leave, they started having them yo at the end so The Used still had an audience. I don't necessarily think it is just because of the Tik Tok trend though. I don't own Tik Tok and hadn't heard King for a Day before I listened to all of AFFTD. Despite this, if PTV went first, I would have left before The Used because it was late and we had an hour drive home, meaning if we could leave ahead of everyone else, we would. I am glad The Used went first because I have started listening to their music now, but otherwise, we wouldn't have stayed.
As a Pierce the veil fan not just cause they are trendy on TikTok It’s rude someone else wanted to go to that show and didn’t get a ticket cause someone wanted to see 15 seconds of a song and leave
My thoughts exactly
If I want to see one band then leave, that's my right. I don't care if it's rude to the band or bands that I don't see! They get some of the money from the ticket.
@@deans-rewind2882 ok wow you have told me all I need to know about you
@@deans-rewind2882 I'm pretty sure that main commenter's point is it being rude to other people trying to get into the concert, not the bands.
Stay mad
@@dellyluna6859 lol why be mad I pity these kids
@@dellyluna6859 actually he's speaking the facts. It's good that PTV is gaining some publicity attention but I don't like that it's coming from these "tiktok kids" because they are kinda the worst audience.
@@dellyluna6859 the boot fits 😂
Yeah I saw that clip too it’s Bad Habit by Steve lacy they could only sing the popular part of the song and nothing else really disappointing moment🫤
Now that a fricking decent human being.🤩🧡🧡🧡
this was literally my exact situation dude iprevail literally put on a performance that made me fall in love with their music
The real fans know. We all become one big family at the end 🤘🏼🖤
i don’t listen to i prevail, but i still didn’t leave. i personally really liked their performance.
Hold on till may will forever hold a place in my heart sad people don't know any other songs but king for a day.
I don't care if your favorite band is opening for the main act, it genuinely doesn't matter to me just stay home and wait till that band goes on their own tour and get a full show for full price
Quick edit cause I sounded douchey: absolutely did not mean that you're not allowed to go to a show if the main act isn't your favorite ever, or even if you don't normally listen to their stuff that's fine too. But at least want to see the show, not just a piece of it to record and say "oh yeah I saw them live" later.
Right, I don’t even like king for a day anymore because people are just over playing it
You're there already just watch the whole show.
I agree! Especially if true fan wanted to get tickets with their fans bc they knew the band not just 15sec song 😢
They couldn’t get the ticket bc someone buys it for only “king for a day” leaving 😔
Fr people who came for only 15 seconds JUST because it was trendy dont rly deserve to be there. Like real fans would apreciate more. But whatever they laid for the ticket(and wasted it)
Like seriously? Losers man
I bet that feels shitty for the bands too, like imagine being I prevail and seeing the crowd that perice the Vail has and then coming out and seeing a good majority of them gone and if ur perice the Vail imagine how shitty it must feel to preform king for a day and then a bunch of "fans" start leaving 😢
What a wild story you made up 5 mi tha ago lol
I prevail had opened for PTV back in the day--They were hella good and I'm glad to see them now half the headliners. Good times😁
I wish I was that rich to pay for a concert just to make a video of only one song
I mean the tickets are only 50 bucks 😅 but yeah I get your point lol
if you live near a venue, some of them sell season passes.
@darianmudge2052 I guess I'm the complete opposite I loved their new album Been having it on repeat
@@TheClif39648same! I guess people don’t like the rapping, but honestly it’s up there with Trauma for me.
The first time I saw/listened to their stuff was, funny enough, when they were the openers for PTV. Their stuff should totally appeal to PTV fans, it’s all pretty great
they suck and theyre name biters it prevails> i prevail all day.
@@kailathefoxOr else what? You're gonna bully them for not playing by your rules with how they spend their money?
Honestly I think it'd make more sense for PTV to be the headliner and I prevail to be the opening
@@cursedspirit9 yea that's a good way to promote your album
Imagine leaving before seeing I Prevail.
I saw them live in Adelaide with Motionless In White and Windwaker, they were incredible
That's crazy. I Prevail is wild. Great showmanship and can really work a crowd. They're missing out
I was one of the people that just went for PTV then left.
Not necessarily. If ptv weren't the warm up then those tickets would of gone to iprevail fans
I've been a ptv fan since I was in 6th grade back in 2014 but I probably wouldn't leave early bc I want to support all the artists
I remember quite a few years back I had tickets to go see PTV, MIW, and ADTR, and I was so damn HYPED about that show, and right before time for it the show got canceled. I was heartbroken. So disappointed
I always stay for any band on the bill because you never know when a new band will hit you in the feels
right? i discover so many new bands this way. granted, I always enjoy shows, but not every band that performs is my cup of tea.
Same with Inferi, who toured with Shadow of Intent...they came and chilled after their set and we all had beers watching SOI..so cool to meet them
The song for me and for those who keeps on pushing through, never give up everyone✊
I love the pink elephant album in the background Stand Atlantic is my favourite band Ive seen them live 4 times!!!
I'm going to see them live for the first time in February
I THINK THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IT IS! I THINK THEY JUST WANT TO SEE "KING FOR A DAY" AND THEN THEY BOUNCE.
Those who did that suck
i mean, i get that, because I really wanted to hear king for a Day (but that's cuz i've been listening to them for forever. never did leave that emo "phase").
Cuz their posers
As a ptv fan myself, I think I prevail is a really good band, and is awful that those leavers did not gave them a chance and just left after the king for a day 15 seconds
I don’t understand the point of going to a show and leaving before the headliner unless you actually don’t enjoy them. How could you have a ticket and turn down MORE live music just because you don’t know all the headliners music? Bizarre
I don't understand the point in wasting money on the ticket at all, just wait till the opener has their own tour and go then. Get your full show then and stop taking space that other fans actually want now
Altho that's also hard to do if PtV don't tour, idk I don't listen to them or know them as a band so that one is up to them.
I love ptv and i prevail sm idk why people wouldn't stay
They both good as hell. Im a big ptv fan since 2014.
And ive only seen videos on iprevail
IPREVAIL GOES HARD!!!
Should’ve stayed man! The Used put on a killer set I found better than PTV’s!
I saw the same thing happen the other day after motionless in white played about a quarter of the people left and there were still 2 more bands to go
i saw them with Ice Nine Kills and Black Veil Brides.
I would literally DO ANYTHING for a ticket to see them it honestly breaks
my heart that half of those “fans” where only there for king for a day and claim they are true fans but only know like 30s of the song when people who are REAL fans can’t see the show because of all these tickets that were practically waisted on this..but I WISH I could see them but they are in Europe rn 😢sadly[PTV🔛🔝
Pretty sad, I love going to concert to hear new bands, and that’s how I even found out about I prevail, was from them opening for pierce the veil in 2016.
both are amazing bands imo
I went but only for PTV because I’m a diehard PTV fan (been a fan of the band since I was in 4th grade so like 2007-08) but I stayed cause of my bestie who’s a diehard I prevail fan. The amount of “fans” that only knew the TikTok part of king for a day and nothing else was CRAZY like I got side eyed so hard the whole show for knowing every song and it really made me sad cause none of the other shows were like that before king for a day blew up on tiktok
It doesn’t matter if you came for the headliner. You be respectful and watch the openers/closers. (Which are never bad! I prevail rocks!)
It makes gatekeeping look like the right move
Facts lol
I'd stay for both cause they are both amazing
"Shitty move to take it away"
They didn't take anything away though. They got those tickets before others did
I love both of these bands
I prevail would be the reason Id buy the damn ticket lol
Even IF these people are there for 15 seconds of King for a day they will be actual PTV fans when its over. They are so good live!
This happened at their Brisbane show with Beartooth. Not a lot of people left but a fair few did after PTV set.
I love both bands and they both are really good bands I Prevail deserve a full crowd and they deserve your time and respect
Ain't no way I'd be leaving that show until the last breakdown hit me in the face lol
I’ve been a massive fan of ptv for over a decade and I’d only see them too xD
If people are really just showing up for a frikin tik tok they dont know whaf they're missing out on
Man that blows. I love both bands
2013 and the ticket was only £7, train fare was £7.50 and i had back to back english gcse's the next morning at 9am and had to sit them hungover on 3 hours sleep and still passed them both. worth every penny i spent. if someone hasnt seen them live yet i'd recommend it, and i prevail would probaby be worth sticking around for but since i havent seen them live yet i cant say for sure. tiktok can suck my elder emo dangle berries i've been down for this shit for over a decade now
I fucking love both of these bands I would've loved to be there
When I go to concerts and there's bands playing that I either never heard of or listened to I always stay and listen or show up at the start of the concert to listen to the openers. I paid to the whole show so I want to watch and I never know when I'll find new music or bands that I like that I could have missed out on
I got to see one of these. This did actually happen but it wasn't that many people. People also left after fit for a king, just what some people do.
I did this for their tour with the used. I knew only 4 songs from them but it was sooooo worth it
I do this all the time.
I didn't know they were touring recently got i to i prevail and love their song and a big fan of pierce the veil might get tickets myself
At least it was worth it 😂 6 years
I’m still waiting for me to go to a ptv concert
Freedom. It’s the best thing.
Pierce the veil has been around for so long they've had hit songs that have hundreds of millions of views
Honestly I prevail should be opening for PTV imo but that’s just me I love I prevail but PTV is one of my ALL time favorite bands 🥺❤️❤️
thats why i liked back then. $20 tix plus no lines, plus small venues, super packed, super energetic.
I was planning on going just for ptv I've been listing to them since 2013. So most likely just PTV fans just wanting PTV
Same
But why tf would you not stay at the other show? You already have the ticket lmao
The band is coming back to my town with blink 182 next year and I definitely wanna go see them again. But I’m not gonna leave just like that when I paid good money for the concert.
When they came to Lubbock it was like that fs most of the crowd left when I prevail came on...😅
I want to have a chance to have a ticket to their show, but I am unable to for personal reasons. I discovered them back in 2014 and been listening to their music since and love all their albums. Disgusting to see people waste their lives like that after 2 amazing bands are on set infront of them. Didn't deserve their tickets
Same thing happened with papa roach at a concert I went to
Falling in reverse played and a bunch of people left after the finished.
I hate that I learned this cause now I’m sad for the I Prevail guys. Love their stuff
