    Many snakes fall into wells in India and they need to be expertly rescued! Some of them are deadly venomous and potentially dangerous. We joined Mobarak snake saver and his team in Jharkhand during their quest to rescue snakes in rural areas. Several snake species were taken out of wells while a big crowd was always watching!
    Rescued snake species:
    Spectacled cobra (Naja naja)
    Banded krait (Bungarus fasciatus)
    Monocled cobra (Naja kaouthia)

      @@LivingZoology India is a land of contrasts, modernity and wealth next to tradition and poverty, it can be a shock to Europeans. Do you think village people in India have less fear of snakes that many people in rural Africa?

    Great video - I so admire the rescuers - it's amazing to see what they can do with low-tech and professionalism. I don't really envy the villagers living in close proximity to venomous snakes, and the work you and the rescuers do to educate people and dissuade them from killing the snakes is commendable.

    • @LivingZoology
      @LivingZoology  Před 9 měsíci

      Thank you for watching! The education is extremely important - thanks to it many unlucky incidents can be avoided. We love to educate local people and show them that they have amazing nature and animals around their homes so we came all the way to Europe to visit them. Very often they start to see that snakes are not only potentially dangerous, but also beautiful and much needed in nature.
