Hey guys I commented on your video of the tear down. I'm an RV tech from Utah and like I said we just got thru doing the same job to a couple motor homes. You guys are doing a great job and trust me you're doing better than most shops I've been to and seen there work. Hats off to doing shit for your selves. You saved a ton of money too. It truly amazes me that they don't install Ice Shield inside all those U-channels when building them. Not only would it be cheap then but completely waterproof and help things stay tight since it is self adhesive, also help seal screws and keepm8n place. Just a ponderance

It's Geocel and it's by far the best sealent. I use it in my gutter business everyday. Stuff stays flexible and doesn't crack. Wd40 works the best for cleanup. Off hands as well.

If you do add chicken lights to the toter, look into Dual revolution lights from Trux Lights. You can flip them to two different colors.
There’s nothing better than doing yourself. When you do it yourself you spend more time to make it perfect. Good for you guys. It’s better than new. For sealant up here in the great white north use a product called Demonic. It stays flexible in any heat or cold. Worked great on my motor home
Dymonic. But Dymonic is not UV stable, so it should not be used when it is exposed to sunlight. But underneath for weather sealing it is great.

I see the stainless strips in the truck bed, difficult to know if this was the whole sheet, normally a sheet in our industry is 1.2metres width X 2.4 metres length
geocel is good sealant. used it when i worked construction.

Question, do you buy the complete sheet off stainless and they cut the size from the sheet you want cut.
I would think you will have a better cost centre buying the complete sheet and taking the rest home for other projects you will have as life progresses

Question, looking at the span from front to back, side to side this bed area, is it really possible the board will not flex and lower onto the vehicle hood when time allows stretching to naturally occur.
In my thoughts, a 50mm set off strengthers from side to side with a light weight pvc type board ( very similar to the board your using only made from all pvc with expanded inner foam centre) will give additional strength for this bedroom floor

With the work he does. He ought to look up and get a pair of iron age boots. I've had some of these boots last me. 10 years in a foundry, so a $152 every 10 years or 60 bucks on those shoes. Every 3 ish months you do the math.
