I twisted my hair last Sunday. I’ll be redoing them on Sunday. You did way more than I did and it took me 1.5 hours. I told myself I was going to do more. We’ll see what my arms say about it.

Rubber band the ends if you use colored rubber bands it would be cute
Mini braids have a similar effect and they keep the looser hair texture secure

Been twisting all wrong XD. Thought it was like a 2 strand braid. Definitely will try to convince my dad into helping me do this. It looks gorgeous. See if I find some time to do so tho. Professors be going crazy with assignments now that its all online lol.
I’ve always wondered why people think these are braids 🤔 a braid is a weave and it’s impossible to weave two strands, and if you just wrap them they’ll fall apart.
It always drove me crazy when people tell me my ‘braids’ look nice 🙃 I just say thanks because I’m tired of explaining, but in my head I’m like, ‘braids where?! I don’t even know how to braid 🤣’.

Please what’s the name of the brush you’re using for each section to smooth it? It’s hard to find tutorials to figure out what to do with my hair where the YTer has the same hair type as me. I just did mine, it took my about 2 hrs, I hope it last bc I have wavy hair but I added and elastic clear band at the end of each one

How long do/can you wear these for? I’m trying to find styles that’ll last me 10-21days between washes so that I can grow my hair to my butt! I had a sew-in that I did myself and that lasted about 3 weeks, but it didn’t look very good 😅 I need more practice at corn-rowing
Omg!!! Thanks for doing this!!! I love it and appreciate it! Braiding is not at all my thing so it was perfect. Question though, how do you keep it from untwisting on its own? Or are my sections just too big? Lol..
Also...I currently have them in, but I need to find an in between scalp oil to stop my scalp from itching, and maybe some hair bands to stop it from untwisting next time I do it...
Hi! I actually had ONE twist that seemed to keep unraveling and I think its because it was just slightly too big, I tied it with a tiny black hair elastic :) if yours all keep unravelling, you can try those too. No one has noticed it yet haha!

I used it on one of my twists that wouldn't stay on, but all the other ones stayed without the need for elastic bands x
What type do you use in deep conditioner
I used a deep conditioner from the brand As I Am, and then my leave in conditioner was by Only Curls :)

I just don't want to be appropriating someone else's culture or history but I feel like my curly hair would benefit so much from something protective like this (plus they look so cute). While I don’t speak for everyone, I usually see the most offense occur when others take a style or concept *without* paying homage to the culture it came from.
*Appreciation* is honoring culture for it’s concepts and ideas outright in the forefront.
So as long as you’re not making some kind of claim that you or your culture invented it, I doubt you’ll be highly offensive. That’s just my take on I though. Wear it well if you do try 🤗.

Mine didn't unravel, and you don't need ti do these on wet hair! The natural curl keeps the twist locked in place :)

You can, but you might need to use thsoe tiny hair elastics at the bottom to keep it in, my hair stays because its naturaly curly but yours might try to unravel x

You can totally shower, check some vifeos for washing twists. Personally I wont wash my twists in the shower, but its possible to cleanse them by other means xx
