    I asked Father Carlos several months ago when he came to my parish, when the next season will start. He said he had no idea. So hearing this now, "we know not the hour nor the day," that answer back then makes total sense.

    Warm greetings from Australia 🦘 I could listen to Fr. Carlos all day. He is a very holy priest and extremely intelligent. I always find his commentary enlightening. Great Catholic catechism. I wish he would come to Australia and do a tour of the St Jude relic, do some lectures and say Mass. I hope you're reading this Fr. Carlos. Thank you and God bless you and your ministry.

    Question:
    Where we draw line separating between permitted knowledge and forbidden knowledge?
    Answer :
    All knowledge, whether it is spiritual or material, accessed through devilish, demonic and satanic means are forbidden. But all knowledge accessed through our own hard work, research, study, or God's revelation, are permitted knowledge. Ok?

    May I say, there's is NOT a translational difference between "lead" and "driven" in the discussion of the LORD Christ's temptation. Mark 1: 12 "driveth", Matthew 4: 1 "led up of the Spirit", Luke 4:1 "led by the Spirit"--three different verbs are employed in the evangelical accounts, although Matthew and Luke are both rendered "led" in English.

    How can it still be asserted that the Orthodox church is "the second lung" and "united in the essentials" - namely a valid Priesthood and Sacraments-- when they clearly split from the Catholic Church (1054) and renounced obedience to the Bishop of Rome/Pope ?
    By doing that, their Priesthood and Sacraments can't possibly be "valid".

      Not every preacher, priest, or bishop has it anymore, because they don't need to. The Church having spread has the resources teach in all languages.

      Regarding Blessings:
      Numbers 6:22-24 is the oldest known fragment of Scripture we have - and guess what, its a blessing...
      The first Bible reference that comes to mind is Jacob's blessing of Isaac (Gen. 27:28). Countless times in the Gospels Christ blesses something, the most notable that comes to mind is the bread and wine at the Last Supper: "And whilst they were at supper, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke: and gave to his disciples, and said: Take ye, and eat. This is my body (Matt 26:26)." When Christ cured the sick He blessed them, etc.
      At it's most basic elements a blessing is just the minister of the Church invoking a Divine Benediction upon a person or thing. The power to Bless comes from the Holy Spirit which a priest receives in his ordination (as well as the jurisdiction to give the blessings which the priests of the Church can give) but there are blessings that non-priests can give. As a parent, I can (and do!) bless my children in the evening before they go to bed (something the parents can do as the spiritual heads of their household through the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit, as alluded to in the above citation of the patriarchs of the old testament blessing their offspring.

    OK I'm confused - it was demons (the watchrrs/fallen angels) who gave knowledge to humans - but that's a good thing and our pursuit of more is a good thing?
    ... and how can he talking about suffering and then say having an easier life with tech is a good thing?
    I get God allows it but when you stand back and look at the "growth curve " I'm just not with the thought process.

    Being first amongst equals is NOT primacy. the Patriarch of Constantinople is currently 1st amongst equals of the Eastern Orthodox Church and can make decisions and mediate but he has No primacy and if he decides to rejoin communion with Catholics (for example) there will be Patriarchs and bishops that won't follow the decision and majority of faithful will not follow him - that the tradition has continued from the beginning of the Church is evidence that the Catholics split away from tradition (politically desperate for primacy and have absolute rule - the sin of pride and vanity) not the other way round that they constantly try to maintain....

    • @Summer1in3
      @Summer1in3 Před měsícem +2

      My friend, I have great respect for the Eastern Churches, but you are incorrect. I urge you to read the early Church fathers. Even the great Eastern fathers did not doubt nor question the primacy and supremacy of the See of Peter. Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and history all reaffirm the Rock which Christ has set as the bedrock of His Church - the papacy. God's blessings to you!

    • @MightyFineMedia
      @MightyFineMedia Před měsícem

      @@Summer1in3 I'm EO so I'm familiar with early church fathers and Rome (who was first among equals) did tried to dictate before the split and as per tradition the majority did not agree - the Filioque if you know it - because THAT is how it is supposed to work - how it did work from the beginning - and when Rome trued to take primacy AND infalibility - when no one supported it - they split so they could have it as they wanted it.. Roman Primacy started at the schism. Not before.
      I reason I know this for a FACT that can't be altered by your brainwashing is because the EO Church STILL maintains the the same structure to this day as I laid out in my first comment. The EO literally has not changed since the the beginning and sticks to the decisions of the 7 ecumenical councils - Rome however has not - it is not and can not claim to be the apostolic church.
