    Nice rig dude. I have a stock 06 and just got the 1” body lift kit that I will install this weekend. Do you still recommend getting a diff drop even though I’m only lifting an inch?

    • @Mckean97
      @Mckean97  Před 2 měsíci

      @@peteramara with a body lift you don’t need to drop the differential since you’re not messing with the suspension. I actually just installed a 2 inch not too long ago. It wasn’t too painful, but I’m glad I did the stock bolts that hold the body to the frame were pretty much shot.

    Can u list all mods for front end suspension. I also am having issues with inner cv boots tearing, thx in advance

      @Mckean97  Před rokem

      Differential drop kit, Swaybar relocation That’s probably all you need to fix the CV axle boot from tearing.

      For the differential drop I just got one off of Amazon and the sway bar relocation I got from toytec. Very cheap and easy install. When you do get the relocation kit for the sway bar, you might need to shave down some of that aluminum, the passenger side frame there were some welds that were causing the block not to seat correctly. If you shave off a little bit of that aluminum, it will fit perfect. It’s a lot easier to shave off aluminum then it is to shave off welds on the frame.

    What puck style lift kit did you use . Was it actually 3 inches?

    • @Mckean97
      @Mckean97  Před 9 měsíci

      It was a rough country lift and yes, it was a 3 inch lift, but don’t recommend going that direction on stock suspension

      @@Mckean97 I've been wanting to get my first "truck" and I was wondering how many miles is too many miles for a toyota to still be upgrade worthy. I don't know much about trucks but I wanna get a 4wd as a 2nd vehicle just for traveling, camping, fishing, shooting in blm lands, etc.

    • @Mckean97
      @Mckean97  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Toyotas are pretty reliable even if you do have to step your foot into a 200,000+ mile vehicle it shouldn’t really have any problems. Just make sure that the maintenance was done to it. Such as timing belt/chain, water pump, and all the essential items. If there is no record in it, I would definitely recommend getting those done as soon as possible.. good luck on your search!
