This is definitely an aspirational build for me - maybe someday. Still, can’t believe you’d pour that much $$$ into it and not upgrade the stereo.

Just remember that if your battery dies, that back door latch is electrically activated. I’ve learned the hard way… I have a similar box build with all my tools. Switched to a small battery jumper and keep it in the cab and jumper cables under the hood.
Damn, good call. never thought about that.. I had the power out at my house for a few days after a blizzard, and I couldn't get into my garage and get my 4th gen out haha. No man door to this rental house's garage. Different, but similar situation. I disconnect the garage door chain, and just lower it down manually when they call for snow now.
Thanks for the information and inspiration. I'm in the process of buying a 2008 4Runner so I have these mods in my future. Gonna make sure not to get a rusted frame. I bought a new Tacoma and the frame rusted through at 90,000 miles. Toyota did nothing but laugh at my misfortune. The frame rusted in half at 138,000 miles and that was the end of my Tacoma. I bought it expecting to use synthetic oil and getting 250,000 miles or more.

Great build what load bars are you using and how many to hold the tent?
Nice rig. Are you running wherl spacers? Looks like FJ wheels, are they st9ck offset, etc? Did you have your chop your body mounts? Looks like a v6. Are you running stock gears in the 3rd member, or have you re-geared?
How is this 4Runner to live with on a daily basis? Comfortable? Loud? Do you daily it?
Is there any rear bumpers available with a swing out option that resemble this CBI one? I love the look of that
All I can find is the CBI dual swing out, I haven’t pulled the trigger because I feel like there’s better options out there and I’m just not looking hard enough? If someone can help me out on this that would be great. Preferably a pre welded one thanks yall
