    The sherpa is so good!!! This is not for everyone, but raptor lining the paint and spraying it with clear coat is great for those that hit the trails often. You dont have to worry about branches leaving streaks across the side of your car and cleanup is a breeze. A dark olive or forest green doesnt look bad either, black works too.

    Great upgrades! Old is Gold!! I have a 07 4Runner Sport Terrain edition, and I noticed in this video that you've upgraded your 4-Runner'stemperature dials (that look like those in your Tacoma's dials) and swapped the side of the location of the flasher button. Would you provide a link of where you acquired those dials? Also, was it difficult to swap position of the flasher button; as mine is located on the far right side closer to the passenger seat and I would like to move it closer to the driver side of the dash?
    I've upgraded all of the exterior lights to LED from halogens, and added the "Toyota" grill with the orange lights (like what you had previous, but changed out for the one without the orange lights), as well as swapped out the dealer roof rack for the Sherpa roof rack which I think added a more aggressive appearance.
    I've performed a cost comparison between painting versus wrapping my 4-Runner, and I'm leaning towards wrapping due to the costs. Overall my 4-Runner is in really good condition given its age, and from where it originated (Ohio) and the lack of rust to the undercarriage. I learned that I'm the second owner of "Stella" and it's evident that the initial owner was just as OCD as I am in taking care of their possessions. However, the fender flares, due to being plastic and not metal, the paint didn't age as well and there is oxidation, as well as some paint blemishes to the body itself. To paint the vehicle, I was quoted $10k, where as to have it wrapped would be $3k-to-$4k.
    Thanks, and keep up with the awesome videos!

    • @CanadianGearhead
      @CanadianGearhead  Před 3 měsíci

      I swapped the dials on the Tacoma with Auxito ones but haven't made any changes to the 4Runner. My guess would be they changed them at some point but that can't be it since we have the same model year. Weird!

      @matthewgallien77 Před 2 měsíci

      @@CanadianGearhead - I appreciate your reply. As I was watching the video (at the 3:30 video mark) shows different set of dials, but I didn't initially catch that you were showing the Tacoma's interior and talking about the factory head units. You are correct, in that we do have the same set of dials in our 4Runners. Cheers!

      @matthewgallien77 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @s35flyer - Contact your insurance company and inquire about having them adding a "special endorsement" to cover the costs for the upgrades you've done. A body shop that I had used to have the rear spoiler color matched advised me of such, as they had a customer who had done significant upgrades to their vehicle, but didn't have the special endorsement coverage added to their policy and got into an accident and was only paid out the value of the vehicle and not the upgrades performed. I took the advice to heart and added an additional $10k in special endorsement coverage, so that I'm not complete out of pocket for the upgrades that I've done. Shop insurance companies if yours doesn't offer "special endorsement" coverage.

    • @s35flyer

I guess doing these will fix my insurance problem, I hope and as long as I keep any old parts it can always be turned back to original. Thanks again for the idea.
