I was game for this until, "I'm gonna sew" lol. You are a true renaissance man Dan H. Fantastic job.
LMAO... Thank you kindly Chad!
Love watching your videos. Unfortunately your Jeep restoration works are far beyond my capabilities. I've got the, no frills, Jeep GC Laredo 1999/2000 with the ordinary cloth seats. I'm now very envious of your beautiful pillow top leather seats. Cheers from Australia.
You swear like a sailor but deep down you're a "JEEP TAYLOR"! Got to say that was a lot of tedious work but this is " JEEP MY LIFE"!!!
🚙 👍 😎
😆😆😆 Thanks JB! JML!
I like to consider myself brave enough to try taking anything apart to fix. But I would NEVER attempt to go as far as sewing and fixing the heated seat element in the seats. LOL You sir, are awesome for putting this content out there for anybody who is brave enough!
Thanks Ethan! I really appreciate that brother 💪
Between Dan and Doug and Eric, CZcams is a treasure trove of Jeep DIY. You guys are a Godsend.
It's not as bad as it seems. It's not like getting your AA in Electrical Engineering Technology
Great video! Very well made, sound & picture were perfect info was well presented.
That is a twist! I used a new Ebay procured leather replacement cover made of saddle leather $$$$$$ and sun aged to match my 2001 Agate.
Nice!!!
@@ProjectDanH I used a 2001 durango replacement seat foam cushion. You are a resourceful man if any of your videos revealed any traits about you. Not adverse to hard work and creative in your solutions. It was a $50 investment I know it first you'll look at it and think that's too slim however it rides high you'll love it big guy. You'll have to trim some of the foam away just eyeball it and just stuff as much of it under that cover as possible.
Really enjoyed the vid and your effort to spec the seat. Now I'm going to have to watch all your vids.
Awesome work 😁👍
Welcome aboard! Thanks for watching!!
Always delivering that awesome content! Awesome video!
Thanks brother!
Now that's crafty! Also those things look comfy as hell!
Thanks Brother! Very Comfy!
Thank you for all the great tips.
Glad you like them!
That’s pretty hard work but well worth it. Thanks for sharing. You won another subscriber!
Yes, its definately a lot of work... Thank you so much!
You did it again Dan another video just for me I just got a parts Jeep for the seats and tires and rims. Blow a trans line friday on 476 on my way to reserves and because of you fixed it by my self on the side of the road
Lol! Jeep cousins! Glad you got it fixed bro!
Excellent job! Time for a cold one!
You got that right! thanks brother!
Fantastic video - Just finished rebuilding my drivers seat and installing new back and bottom covers bought online. I could not have done this job without your video! I must have referred back to this video for your words of wisdom or photos maybe 50 times. You have a very straightforward delivery and good camera coverage/angles that make this a great DIY instructional video. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Name! I really appreciate your view and positive feedback. God bless
great job Man!
Thank you! Cheers!
Yes the ultimate like no other... Lucky 😀👍
Thanks bro
Great job.
Thank you! Cheers!
Wow that looks good 👌
Thanks Chris!!!
Everyone loves a tight bolster! Great video man looks good 👍🏻
Lol! They sure do Buddy 😁
Awesome video Bro!
thank you! Glad you liked it
Thanks buddy
Just another fantastic video from the man himself ladies and gentleman. You the man!
I believe I have used Moog before.. They are pretty decent brand. Have you ever tried rockauto.com..? They have a great selection of economical, OEM, and performance parts
Thank you Josh!
Great repair! 👍 I couldn't repair the heating wire on my ZJ so I bought new generic elements from china and connected them to the seat wiring. That's a solution to.
Smart move! my next seat video will be using your generic element fix!
Excellent job. I am looking for seats for my xj. Do you have extra seats. Great videos,
I got a set for $60 at a yard in Maryland. Small tear in the drivers seat but the rest was pristine
Score!
I need to get some power seats for my XJ.
I like it so much really 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you!
Dan you are the man, or the Chair Man of Jeeps! I learned a lot from this video. I will send you my XJ diver's seat to work your magic... JK.
thanks John... so you're sending me a JK seat or an XJ seat? lol.. that's a little joke from the chairman! 🤣
now I don't have a reason for crappy seats....Dan is da MAN....I'll be fixing my 99 XJ seats in the near fture..
lol! go to town Brother!
Nice job brother. You did some welding and sewing all in one video.👊👍👍💪😁
LMAO! Weird right? Jack off all I guess
@@ProjectDanH lol!
Hey Dan!! Long time follower. What model WJ did these seats come in? I'm having a hell of time finding them. I have cloth at the moment close to mint but would love a set of those. Could I just buy covers like to did? If I could find some zj pillow seats that would be my number one choice lol.
Hi Dan. I'm a long time fan of your's Don't know if you have an answer but. I have a 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo ZJ. I want to make a little more room for the rear passenger's, is there any way to move the rear seat back a few inche's? Possibly 5 or 6 inches, really interested to know. I look forward to hearing from you.
I like your work. Nice job!!! I may need to ask you some questions in the future if that's OK. I have a ZJ 98 6cyl.
awesome! id be happy to help
Hey DHP. Nice well done new diy video. You mentioned but didnt include the info. Please include a link for the wire connector ring tools at 14:17. Great tutorial. Btw, I already shared this video and put link to this on other forums. Hope this helps grow your subsriber base Dan. Have a awesome day.
Ahhh I knew I forgot one! Thanks bro.. link include!
Nice
Thanks
Молодец, делаешь всё для души!
Спасибо, сэр!
I've had multiple wj driver seats break from offroading welding them up nice and beefy is a smart choice 👍
Thanks man! much appreciated
Hi Dan, thanks for your video(s). Have you ever changed out the horizontal power seat motor? I can't seem to figure out how to disconnect both of the long tubes on each side of the motor from each side rail.
I bought an entire lower power seat assembly off Ebay, but the horizontal was going bad on it too. It'll last a little while longer, but I'd like to fix my original....it looks way better.
I'm not sure I can recall the removal process. I think they're pinned and you may need a punch
Nothing sexier than a fully grown man sawing up Jeep seat cover in his kitchen. I should do that for my ZJ.
the green hornet is turning into a show piece!
lol, one stitch at a time 🤣
Good Job Dan, I wish I could do this sort of work. Dan I live in NJ South of the GW Bridge. Would like to get in touch with you and share like you did with your American and interntional friends, to part of the group. Thanks and Blessings, Rusty
thanks for watching the vids man! if you have a jeep your definitely in my club! 💪
I just sold my WJ….my driver seat actually was stuck all the way back so luckily I was tall and it didn’t matter 🤣🤣
That's hilarious! 😆
Hi dan, how are you? Do you know where is the power seat memory module ??
Hey! Power seat memory module is usually located under the passenger seat or driver seat.. its tucked up into the seat frame.
Dan can I use a passenger side back cover on the driver's side?
Yep! sorry Im late! Haha
Where can I get those -+ probs you used on the dewalt?
try this!
amzn.to/412pbpC
Will the seats from 300m Chrysler fit in the wj if we change the lower part od the seat? What do u think?
Anything is possible with enough determination!
@@ProjectDanH need to check the junkyard then :)
The hole in my ZJ limited seat in the crotch area as if someone was trying to get into the seat to cut the heating element. Yes, the heating element is cut. The upside is when they cut the hole they cut the stitching, so I could probably go in there with that curved needle and stitch it back up if I wanted. Also, I think I have my memory seat problem figured out. Turns out, I slouch sometimes while driving.
😆 the slouching solution! Yea biddy.. get in there with that needle and go to town
@@ProjectDanH Seems like all the limited seats I find in the junkyard are torn in that spot, like the stitching gives way or something. That being said, the only things that don't work on my ZJ are the heated seats and the sunroof. Heated seats I'll probably have to go aftermarket, previous owner siliconed the sunroof shut due to a leak.
@@robertgrauman8602 I'm stick kicking the sunroof can down the road 😆
@@ProjectDanH I read somewhere that the Sunroof gasket often leaks, and there is no aftermarket solution. I have also heard that most sunroofs have a drain that clogs and that's what leaks. That being said, I haven't looked into it myself.
Hey Dan, any tips on how to fix a rip on my leather seat?
cut out the bad and sew in some good!
" I'm a great shitty welder."
That is awesome.
It's great to be great at things that you're you are s***** at.
LMAO! I agree!
Sou do Brasil tenho uma Grand Cherokee Laredo 2000 precisava do estofado do motorista tem alguma ideia onde posso achar?
try eBay, junk yards, or Facebook marketplace 👍
@@ProjectDanH o frete é muito caro o ibay tá cobrando 200 dolares
I’m in Indiana. Going this weekend and there is tons of Xj and wjs in the yard. I’m going for my 99 wj build. Is there anything that your trying to find I mite be able to snag for you. Ours don’t rust like yours lol.
I'd love the trim over the rear licence plate in white! thanks for asking!!!
Wj or xj?
Xj
@@ProjectDanH got it now just need to know where to send them. Email me where 👍
By now you have figured out that your seats will only be good for about 9 months and your welds and bolsters are broke again. at least yo figured out the passenger secret. pay attention to your power steering. The first time you notice a leak, replace the high pressure hose. Cheap and quick.
Lol, My Welds are impetuous my seats are impregnable! (mike tyson) lol.. nah they're fine and its been over a year
I want to get the passenger side seat out of my ZJ but it won't move forward and I don't mind destroying the seat. Do you think I can do this?
Is it electric??
@@ProjectDanH Yes electric
Would a WJ 2000 driver seat fit on a 98 zj drive seat? (Power seat)
Yes, Seats would have to be swapped onto the frame.
@@ProjectDanH thanks. How abot replacing the driver power seat (zj) with a manual seat. (Zj also, same year?)
are they heated seats
They were 😆
bro, give me your address. i am driving to wherever the hell you are in my 1999 wj with the king of king busted azz seats for a refresh. unbelievable work....great job!
put in zj cloth seats way better than w j leather
Nope
z j seats dont break
Wrong. I have a 98 with beautiful black leather, but the drivers right side is broken.
@@lyzfarrar7352 cloth is way better
@@misstransgender Im must have misunderstood. Your talking about fabric, I was talking about the metal seat frame.
all jeeps fade equally.. that why we do what we do!
Ну ты блин и заморочился.
Hope this helped ya
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 im a great shity welder 😂🤣😂🤣
🤣
